We arrived at Hotel Campo on our way back from Austria. We booked 2 rooms. The rooms were clean and well Presented . The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and a great shower and no single use plastic. We had a delicious buffet breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful . A great overnight stay.

Loved this hotel but there were a couple things that would have made our stay perfect. ● First, the room: spacious. The view is amazing. We got a deluxe room with a balcony that overlooked the forest and gardens. We spent a lot of time enjoying the balcony and this lovely view. What would have made it even better was a sunshade—it was quite bright in the blazing afternoon—we had the corner room so there was nothing to block the sun. Wonderful bathroom—toilet and tub/shower were separate. Beds were comfortable but I wish that the two halves of the bed had been connected together with at least a mattress topper. I wound up falling in the crevasse between the two beds by the third morning. We were surprised that there was no coffee maker—since we wake up much earlier than the breakfast, a coffee maker would have really made our stay more enjoyable. ● The restaurant food was amazing. The breakfast was an excellent spread and included a person ready to cook an omelet to order. Only a few of the staff spoke English, thankfully two of them were the bartenders! We ate at the bar’s outdoor seating for dinner a couple nights which was a much more relaxed atmosphere than the dinner restaurant. Not as wide of a menu variety at the bar but enough to give us options for two nights. We needed replacement towels for the pool and sauna but was not able to get any for our 2nd and 3rd day—we didn’t want to continue to use our sauna towels after having sweated on them. A hotel that specializes in its pool and sauna facilities should have plenty of towels for the overnight guests. ● The grounds are so beautifully maintained, a lovely mix of nature and man-made gardens. There are hiking and biking paths into the forest right from the hotel. The pools and saunas are excellent with jets in some spots and not others. And well maintained. My only complaint with the pools is that babies and small children were using the hot tub. This should be adults only for hygiene. ● Altogether a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it for travelers looking to relax in beautiful surroundings.

The positives: Modern, pleasant hotel. Decent room size, good shower. Good bed. Friendly, efficient staff. Comprehensive breakfast buffet. Centrally located, town center is at walking distance. The negatives: Breakfast area (= at the hotel entrance) was crowded, not easy to find a table to have breakfast. Also, there is just one set of curtains in the room, to block out any light for sleep. When the room curtains are open anybody in the residential apartments opposite has full sight into your room, so there is a tradeoff between having natural daylight (curtains open) or privacy (curtains closed). All in all, we had a good short stay and the price/quality ratio is good.

The hotel location: It has direct access to main road which runs through train station and towards stuggart. So not a problem in finding it. About 1.5km from train station. For grocery shopping there is kaufland on street backside of it for which you could also access a 2min by walk pathway in front of tesla office (yes they opened one). The room: The room I opted was double bedroom without kitcehente. The room was small but still spacious for one person, with a TV, window opining for fresh air and sunlight, the bathroom is ok, the shower area much bigger than other hotels (where you would otherwise have struggled to move your hands around in other hotels). Only difference to other rooms which had option of kitcehente is that the entry area near door is bit wide in those rooms (though it's just wash sink and one microwave for the sake of kitcehente) One thing which I didn't like was that the bed was actually joined by 2 wiggle beds, made the sleep uncomfortable, would have preferred one queen/king bed. Service/Staff: Had opted for room including breakfast in the price. So was expecting that they charge total bill amount in all and don't charge separetly for breakfast in bill (treat as complimentary in that room price), but staff didn't understood and did separate charges for room and for breakfast. Was a bit inconvenience. General view: The hotel has a bar at reception, breakfast area is big and worth price to pay extra except for vegetarian as nothing apart from juice and fruit/joghurt. Good ambience, enough free space outside. Overall satisfied with my stay, except that it's little away from train station and the breakfast billing (not a deal breaker for me).

Location: 45/100 Rather unfortunate location, in a city close to the motorway but not so easy to reach, moreover in a busy street. Furthermore, my room on the first floor overlooked a small street where there was a mechanical workshop which started working around 6.30 in the morning, waking me up to the noise. Parking: 60/100 The outdoor parking costs 8€, quite expensive for an outdoor parking in a small town. Service: 80/100 Quick and efficient service. Rooms: 89/100 Spacious room for a hotel of this category. Comfortable beds. Stylish furniture and toilette. Medium size towels. Impeccable cleaning. Breakfast: 88/100 Very good breakfast with self service food and drinks which include nearly everything you would love for breakfast (except for fresh fruit) Price 88/100: Good price, and very good value for money. Overall verdict: 75/100

Check in by Herr patel was very easy and welcoming. Our room more than met our needs. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have encountered in many years. The hotel was easy to find with good on-site parking. The historic centre of herrensberg is a short walk away.

Hotel liegt im westlichen Teil der Stadt, direkt an der B10, einer von der A8 kommenden Haupteinfallstrasse. Zur AB selbst (Auffahrt Pforzheim West) ist es nur etwa 1 km. Der Bau ist 6-geschossig und verfügt über ca. 200 Zimmer. Erstellt wurde das Hotel m.E. um 2005/2006. Alles ist in einwandfreien Zustand. Das Publikum war während unseres Kurzaufenthaltes hauptsächlich männlich, wobei die Gäste primär den Bereichen Handel, Handwerk und Gewerbe zuzuordnen waren. Wir waren wegen einer Voruntersuchung in der Arcusklinik in Pforzheim. Das Hotel hat für Patienten dieser Klinik einen Spezialtarif. Für unser DZ im 4. Geschoss zahlten wir incl. Frühstück und Parkplatz 95,50 €; da kann man nicht meckern. WLan war inbegriffen. Eine Bushaltestelle ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Der Bus fährt von hier ohne Umsteigen zum Hauptbahnhof bzw. in die Innenstadt (Entfernung ca. 4,0 km). Der Flughafen Stuttgart ist etwa 50 km entfernt; nach Karlsruhe sind es etwa 30 km. Schon der erste telefonische Kontakt bei der Reservierung war sehr positiv. Auch die spätere Begrüßung im Hotel selbst war i.O.; leider war bei unserer Buchung ein Missgeschick passiert. Unsere Reservierung war für einen Tag später eingebucht. Entgegen allen Gepflogenheiten hatte ich dummerweise auf eine Reservierungsbestätigung per Email verzichtet. Da wäre nämlich der Fehler schon frühzeitig aufgefallen. Aber der nette Herr an der Rezeption (Herr Rödel?) bemühte sich, dieses Malheur zu beheben, was ihm auch gelang. Alle sonstigen Fragen wurden erschöpfend beantwortet, sodass einem schönen Aufenthalt nichts mehr im Wege stand. Alles in Allem waren wir sehr zufrieden. Das übrige Personal (Frühstücksraum) war auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als Gast fühlt man sich wohl. Eines muss allerdings negativ angemerkt werden. Obligatorisch werden die Zimmer nicht mehr täglich gereinigt. Nur auf ausdrücklichen Wunsch ist dies noch möglich. Ein entsprechender schriftlicher Hinweis liegt aus; wünschenswert wäre allerdings, wenn man beim Einchecken mündlich darauf hingewiesen würde. Argumentativ wird diese Änderung der Reinigung zwar mit Umweltschutz / CO2-Fussabdruck begründet. Aber ich wurde den Gedanken nicht los, dass hiermit primär auch Personal eingespart werden soll. Das Hotel selbst hat keine eigene Gastronomie. Sehr gut essen kann man allerdings in der Pizzeria Allegro, die sich direkt neben dem Hotel befindet. Der Frühstücksraum des Hotels selbst liegt in der 6. Etage. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und enthielt alles, was man von einem Hotel dieser Kategorie erwarten kann (Kaffee, Tee, Säfte, Wurst, Käse, Marmelade, Eier, Würstchen, verschiedene Brot- und Brötchensorten, etc.) . Auf das rechtzeitige Nachlegen sowie das zeitnahe Abräumen der Tische wurde geachtet. Wir waren jedenfalls sehr zufrieden. Unser DZ (mit Klimaanlage) war ca. 22 qm groß und verfügte über einen separaten Schreibtisch, Sat-TV und einen kleinen Kühlschrank, der auch als Minibar genutzt werden kann. Una opción con muy buena relación calidad precio. Es un hotel de montaña, con una decoración muy chula y una chica que lo lleva muy simpática. Cuenta con wifi y parking gratis. Yo cogí una habitación individual que estaba muy bien: decoración chula, amplia, cómoda y con bastantes detalles: tenía una papelera que se abría al acercar la mano, un espejo del baño con bluetooth, secador, etc… además era bastante silenciosa. El hotel cuenta con una pequeña zona de jardines y vistas a la naturaleza. En mi caso, cogí habitación con desayuno buffet…. Bastante completo y con un poco de todo. Es una muy buena opción a un precio correcto comparado con otras opciones cercanas.
