Hear is a copy of my email to the manager January 15, 2022 that has not been answered to date “With regards to our stay for one night on Friday, January 14, 2022. We have several concerns about your hotel. Upon check-in we saw on your doors that all patrons entering your establishment must wear masks in public areas. We immediately witnessed one couple who were returning to their room walk straight through the lobby to the elevator and up to and back from their third floor room maskless. Not one staff member asked or approached them to put on a mask. To continue on that I just went down at 830 to get a coffee and three young adults with one child exited the elevator with no masks in sight. It looked as if they had just checked in. This is the laxist hotel in the three we have stayed in on our trip. MASKS ARE MANDATORY IN PUBLIC PLACES your sign says. Secondly, we don’t understand why when occupancy rates are so low you put guests at the back of your property regardless of how the reservation is booked. We booked through Expedia (to redeem credit card points) but would gather if we booked through my IHG membership we would have received a better room facing the front of the property. At the very least a disclosure should be given that there will be train and loud horn blast noise during the night so guests can decide to change rooms then and there. A train went by at 1045 pm and again at 300 am. We may have heard it at the front but not to the same loudness as at the back. It was dreadful. Thirdly, at approximately 230am in the morning an obnoxious guest in a red pick-up truck started their vehicle and sat there for ten minutes blasting extremely loud music that woke us from our sleep. (This is the same vehicle that checked in around 600 pm and played the same loud music for all to hear while they unpacked and entered the building….)They then left and returned some 15 minutes later and the same thing….I called the front desk on both occasions to report but nobody picked up the call. Then at about 430 am the owners of the same vehicle kept unlocking and locking their vehicle with their fob for another annoying 10-15 minutes….This all occurred in YOUR parking lot. Where is your sense of responsibility you owe your guests? May I also suggest that your coffee station be made available 24/7 outside the breakfast area by the front desk. It wasn’t a COvID distancing friendly time. Too many people bunched around. For those who just want a coffee having to line up in the breakfast line and wait until the end to get coffee is wrong. This was the worst night’s sleep we have ever had in a hotel. We feel exhausted for our drive to Palm Springs and feel we wasted points on this uncomfortable experience. We await your reply. Moreover, tried to charge guest $30 when guest gave a six hour advance courtesy notice call, that an hour extension is needed from the 11a.m check out time. Not only is that irrational amd a rip off, but there is no hurry for the incompetent housekeeping staff to service rooms let alone in a mainly empty motel of which they do mot properly clean nor sanitize the raggedy rooms anyway. Tried to charge guest at check out, for having to use face towels to clean the room floor from it raining outside Tuesday night 11/2/22 at check in. Yet, she/the motel provided the guest upon check in, with STAINED bath towels towels and a STAINED white blanket that Adriana (the pleasant one) took directly from their lobby closet. Photo's taken. What fee or compensation is the motel GIVING the guest for not supplying clean new linens/towels? What an insult. Stained worn torn towels should be thrown away, not recycled to new guests. Guests do not pay motels/hotels money to be provided with raggedy towels. Also, motels/hotels should never expect let alone voice threats of a charge for using towels fir WHATEVER guests need them for (cleaning or wiping surfaces, menstrual cycle cleaning, showering, bathing, spills, etc etc etc). Moreover, they offered the guest nothing nor any cleaning service after the rain. 2. There are long thinnish bugs in bathroom. 3. The smoke alarm loudly goes off snd it's voice repeats ”FIRE!” every time guests take a hot shower. They have it installed in front of the bathroom door instead of by the window of the room's. 4. The walls and floors/ceilings are paper thin; preventing guests from getting any rest and business calls done. 5. After guests request a corner room in order to avoid as much noise disturbances as possible; they egregiously put large groups of inconsiderate people right above and next to the guest despite there being several vacant rooms further down. They intentionally inflict upon the guest, therefore; sudden heart palpitations from the constant sudden noises/bangs/stomps/throws/drops/rolls/yelling 4:00am onward throughout morning day and night disrupting guests much needed sleep and thus damaging guests ability to function during the day. And they do nothing about it even when guests call the front desk, to make the noise disturbances stop. 6. Unlike other motels; this one does not supply cold filtered water in lobby, nor bottled water. They don't keep the tiny hot water dispenser replenished in lobby, for tea. 7. They dont fix room issues after last guests leave. The lights dont work, the sinks are clogged. They expect guests to go through the inconvenience and disruption and horrible experience of having to request the maintenance guy to enter rooms after guests have settled in/checked in and gotten settled, when the housekeeping staff is supposed to inform maintenance of issues after guests check o

This hotel is quiet! Except in the daytime when the families are enjoying the awesome pool!!! (Not a complaint btw) there are two separate buildings of rooms separated by a bridge running over mill creek. The office lady we got today was AMAZING!!!

Extended Stay America Suites - Bakersfield - California Avenue

I have stayed with ESA in several locations and enjoyed my stay. At this location, I felt that my privacy was violated and I was not treated respectfully as a customer. I was charged a $100 deposit at check in that was not returned to me and my bank debit card was not accepted for payment. I was asked to pay cash throughout my stay. The room had carpet and laminate flooring damage at check in. People entered my room while I was away and management reported to me that my room was not clean to their standards.I ended my stay early as I was uncomfortable extending my stay there. I left the room clean. I will not visit this location in the future and I would not recommend to other travelers.

We have been looking for a good hotel in Bakersfield for a couple of years. We finally found one and will definitely be staying there again. The staff is amazing and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional!

Ich war auf der Durchreise nach Norden und übernachtet im Hampton Inn Bakersfield-Central. Der Empfang war bereits sehr freundlich und ich habe mich gleich wohl gefühlt. Das reservierte Zimmer war noch nicht bereit, da hat man mir schnell ein anderes zugeteilt. Das Zimmer verfügte über einen Flat-TV, einen Kühlschrnak, eine Microwelle, eine Kaffemaschine, einem Schreibtisch, gratis WLAN, einer separaten Sitzgelegenheit und ein Bad mit Dusche. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Lediglich die Klimaanlage wollte nicht so ganz wie ich. Ansonsten war alles Tip Top. Auch das Frühstück war, für Amerikanische Verhältnisse, sehr gut.
