LOCATION It is located on the southeast of the island. About 20-25mon drive from the airport. We had a transfer to the resort, but you could catch the clockwise bus for $ 5 eachand it can drop you at the front. It is located on Muri lagoon, which is perfect for families as the lagoon is calm, protected by some small islands shallow, calm, and clear water. Close to muri night markets. A 24hour convenience store to stock the refrigerator. Sailing club also close walk. ROOM Stayed in a villa that had 2 sections. The main bed area and a second sitting area, which had a single bed for our son. Bathroom and small sink area in the centre. Access sliding doors from each end. Our room number 13 had direct beach access and courtyard area. Perfect room. The beds were comfy. The shower was nice, but I did have to put a few towels down as there was no shower door, and a lot of water went onto the main floor each time. FACILITIES free WiFi works really world. We upgraded for a full breakfast. They have a continental breakfast buffet, and then you order the hot dish and sides. The meals were delicious and sides were great. Didn't use the pool, found it a bit cold and preferred the beach. Had dinner twice. It's better for a casual style dinner than a fancy one. Our son was too young for the kids club but did go and check it out and was able to borrow some beach toys to use. Avis car hire place at the entrance which we did use to hire a car. Min 3 day hire. OVERALL perfect place for families. Happy hour 2 twice a day. Daily cocktail special. Souvenir shop and small chemist across the road. Loved it here. Husband ran along the beach most mornings. Friendly staff and loved kids. Highly recommend.

A wonderful week for my adult daughter and I. We stayed in Villa 1 directly on the beach, and from our deck at times it felt like we were floating on the lagoon. Excellent attention to detail in the villas (which are modern, bright and clean) and the pool and grounds are beautifully maintained too. Sun on the decks until early afternoon, and the pool from late morning. If, like me, you love cooking, the kitchen is well equipped and there is a mains gas Webber on the deck. The breakfasts were enough for us, and you can choose whether to have them delivered the night (afternoon) before if you have an early start. The staff were really pleasant and smiley, and Robyn sorted out all of our requirements without a hitch. We had a small maintenance issue and it was fixed the next day while we were in Aitutaki. The only thing I would do differently next time is to hire a car to pick up from the airport instead of a transfer, even if I wouldn’t use a car everyday. Muri is very walkable, but we used taxis occasionally to go to other area restaurants. There was a dearth of veggies in the shops (or roadside) in Muri Beach so you probably need to car or bus to Avarua. And we hired a car anyway for our last couple of days ( which was a blessing on check-out when the rain put paid to our plans for the last day). Meitaki ma’ata, Robyn, Kia manuia

Great location with a lovely beach spot and snorkeling on the front door. Lovely staff, nice clean room and awesome pool which we made great use of and had to ourselves whenever we used it. The only downsides were we paid extra to go adults only and there were definitely under 18s staying there on a daily basis so should not advertise as adults only if it is not. There was also a wedding being held one night which we were made aware of 1 hour before rehearsal started and on the night other in-house guests were made to sit outside the restaurant, which was ok because it was a warm night but although we booked for dinner our booking had not been written down and I was called 'Paul' by the waitress 3 times even after telling her my actual name each time (and the fact I am a female) . Just felt like we were intruding and an inconvenience that night and didn't feel like we could use the pool with 70+ wedding guest. Brilliant massage and facial at the spa, and a daily cooked breakfast special each day was a bonus with an awesome continental buffet. Very comfortable beds and no rosters waking us up!
