With Pingyaoyinxiang Theater, Pingyao Ancient City Wall and Tongxinggong all within a short distance, there is no shortage of things to do in the area. This hotel is very nice, very quiet and very well situated in the old city. We had a very pleasant and good night. And the best is still the personnel/owners that are very helpful and kind. Thank to them we have been able to retrieve a bag that we forgot in then train ! Also there are traditional costume to make very nice pictures and they offer nice gifts. Everything’s just perfect here.

The hotel is beautiful, specially the patios. The location is just 10 minutas walking from the North Gate of the wall. In reception they do not speak English, but they were very helpful with the translator. However, if you really need to rest, this hotel is not made for you. At 7am there were already families and kids shouting and playing in the patio. Even with taps, it was too noisy to keep sleeping. The hotel is also offering folkloric dressing and photos shoots, so you might find people take pictures in front of your room anytime, also at night with flashes

The hotel is really nice and in the authentic style of Pingyao. It is quite closed from the east gate and from the ancient city center.
The owner is really friendly, speaks good English and is doing everything to make you enjoy your stay. He did explained very well all the activity and provide help if needed.
The room is clean and we didn't care about the size as we were out all day. If I have to suggest one thing, it will be to have bigger mattresses as they are quite hard but it's a personal preference.

We had an amazing stay. Sarah and ger husband are great and ceny helpful. They also speak English! They helped to arrange cars and tours, and took us to the shoe factory. Also, delicious breakfast. Interior od the hotel is the most charming.. very, very comfortable beds and cery quiet at night. Definitely would like to return. .

感覺還是不錯的，是三進院子，晚上看還挺漂亮的，有人負責接送，就在景區裏面，很方便。
不好的是：
一、熱水器，每次洗澡衹能維持一個人的用水，另外一個人需要洗澡得等半個小時以上讓熱水器加熱水才行，很浪費時間。
二、衞生打掃得一般，有一些衞生死角，可能因為是客棧吧，不能要求太多。
三、我住的房間門鎖有問題，不好鎖住，需要多試幾次。

Perfectly placed in a beautiful street near from the main attractions but quieter than the major touristic streets, this hotel is very charming and confortable. Owners are very nice and helpful. A place where to stay if you plan a few days in Pingyao !!

EErin S NZWe loved this hotel in Pingyao! I cannot recommend it enough. Great location as it’s in the ancient city. The room was very clean and comfortable. The best part is the owner, when we first arrived he gave us a map and highlighted the main things to see in the ancient town, also told us about the free light show (we wouldn’t have known if he didn’t tell us) which is worth seeing. He also gave us some snacks when we said we were going to Mount Mian the next day. We also do not speak mandarin so all of our communication was through google translate. Staying here was such a highlight of our China trip! Highly recommend!!

LLeighBeJamminMy children (18/16 yo) stayed at Pingyuan Mansion for two nights. Our taxi from the Pingyao railway dropped us at the South Gate of the city wall. He called the hotel, who sent a trolley to pick up as they were not allowed inside the city wall. It has two lovely courtyards. Our room had automations everything. Breakfast was amazing for those who like of varieties of small dishes. The staff made arrangements to drop us off the railway. It is only a few alleys away from the excitements of street vendors, music, sit down restaurants and shops. You won’t be disappointed staying with them. Truly an authentic Pingyao stay.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property.
Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it
And it does feel and look like a traditional house.
You feel you are going back in time.
Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs.
He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city.
Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions.
Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him.
Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm.
On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour.
Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class.
The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved
The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk.
The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

The hotel is beautiful, decorated with wooden ancient-style windows and doors with small courtyard in front of our room. Inside the room is modern style, spacious and high ceiling while the outside yields an ancient atmosphere. We also like the hotel location. It is in a quiet area but easy to commute to many attraction spots with not a too long distance walking. We have no complaint on overall facilities. The owner and his wife are also friendly and helpful.

PPengguna Tetamu這是個五進七院的大院子，住進這個院子可以領略大户人家的風範，房子外觀古香古色，內部陳設新穎別緻，寧靜優雅，乾淨整潔，主人熱情，服務周到，隨叫隨到 ，還幫忙帶着買特產、提行李。地理位置就在西大街，離西下門步行幾分鐘，中國的華爾街（市樓，古城最繁華地方）也就幾百米，同時也是古城旅拍的最佳選擇，不過不在這住的話，可不能進去參觀和拍照，畢竟是私宅。有機會還會再來的。

We were particularly impressed with the hotel staff, who connected us with an excellent English-speaking guide, helped arrange our visits to scenic spots and transfer to the train station, and were generally very helpful throughout our stay.

The staff was super friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and things to see and helping us to transport our luggage out of the city walls. The room was small but cozy. The courtyard was very quiet and had a relaxed atmosphere which was great because the main alleys of Pingyao can be quite packed. The street that the hotel is on is currently undergoing renovation which means it’s a noisy and dusty when you step outside. The construction is not a big issue as it can not be heard inside the hotel.

EEduardo J. RamosLovely hotel right in the heart of the walled city. Be aware entrance is trough a hairdresser. Spacious and modern rooms, very clean and traditional.
Before you visit be advised, taxis cannot enter walled town therefore cannot reach the hotel. Ask taxi driver to drop you off at the East gate of the walls and from there take the golf cart like vehicles (only taxi service allowed within the walled area) to reach the hotel. If you speak mandarin you may be able to get the service for free from the hotel, couldn't get it before check in but they kindly drove me to the East Gate for free when I left. Closest gate to the hotel is the South but has no vehicular access, if carrying luggage, always use East Gate.

The Staff was very attentive and used their translation app to communicate with me. I can hands down recommend this place to foreigners,as the staff will make sure you are taken care of !
The room was just like in the pictures and the bed was comfortable. The sheets and towels fresh and clean. Prepare for a delicious and healthy chinese breakfast.
No need to look further -stay here and you will not be disappointed.
