I love this hotel in the center of everything! It is right next door to the Archeological Museum. 10 to 15 minutes from the airport. Fantastic people working there are ready to help in any way they can. Beautiful breakfast buffet included with your stay! Great restaurant to eat at if you are tired and don't feel like venturing out after a long day of sightseeing. The rooftop pool is amazing! As you can see in my photos! You can walk to the harbor easily to check out the Kastro! There is so much to discover and see in walking distance from the Hotel. I highly recommend it to all who need a comfortable, centrally located place to stay! Oh, there are also Taxi, bus and Car Rental places nearby if you need them! Great shopping and landmarks all within walking distance!

Das Personal ist freundlich, diskret und sehr aufmerksam, an der Rezeption, im Restaurant und morgens beim Frühstück. Hat man selten auf diesem Niveau. Das Menu der Halbpension ist wirklich gut. Die Speisenkarte der HP erlaubt es jeden Tag etwas anderes zu essen. Sehr schmackhaft und tolle Dekoration. Ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Das wirklich einzige B-Moll war der wegen Renovierung geschlossene Pool.

We stayed at the DOM for three nights, exploring Heraklion and its surroundings, like the Knossos Palace. The location of the hotel is perfect - you hear the bustling city just a little bit, but almost no cars. All the bars and restaurants are close-by, a stroll at the sea is also near, and public transport reachable within minutes. The rooms are comfortable, stylish, and hyper-clean, with a tea-maker and an espresso machine provided. Breakfast is rich, with Greek and International food. We also liked that it was constantly filled up again, even shortly before the finishing time. Lastly, every single person of the staff was very friendly, the receptionists, the breakfast waitress, and the cleaning lady. We would return any time. Thanks for a great stay!

I stayed in a hotel from 1-8 July 2021, for 7 nights. I was quite satisfied with everything. The stuff was friendly apart from one receptionist who unluckily worked the evening shift on the day of my departure. He actually made a scene in front of the hotel shouting at me as I decided to cancel the taxi I had asked him to call previously as there was no taxi around at that very moment. Why did I ask him to do it?? The taxi was very late so much so that I was afraid I would miss the transport to Athens. There were 3 taxi vehicles in front of the hotel and why on earth would I wait for one that does not appear. He was very rude and didn't bother to go out of the hotel and 'teach me a lesson' in front of many people watching at us. Just horrible! I think this person is completely unprofessional and should be educated about good manners with the guests.

We stayed at this hotel twice during our recent holiday. Our first stay was in the suite on the top floor. This is a spectacular room with a HUGE balcony. The room and balcony are the entire 5th floor, overlooking the churches and park. It even has an outdoor hot tub. Our second room was also nice, but it was tough going from the suite to a standard room. The location of the hotel is great. It faces the church courtyard and there are several cafes. There is easy access to the entire center of Heraklion. All of the hotel staff are amazing. They were polite and helpful. I would like to single out Petrali Margarita, the hotel manager. She was warm and friendly and really seemed to care about our happiness. She made dinner reservations for us and nail appointments for my wife and niece. She would greet us if we were outside at a cafe. Just a wonderful asset. My ONLY criticism would be the servers at the Hacienda cafe. The were rude and some were unprofessional. It took forever to get waited on, to the point of us moving to the other cafes in the square. It was hard to believe it was part of the hotel. The servers really need to be trained on efficiency and customer interaction. Beside that, a splendid hotel. We will go back again.

Nous avons pris le forfait demi-pension, c'était le même menu pour 5 nuits. Seulement quelques plats et les plats ne sont pas à notre goût. Le menu pour les autres clients sont meilleurs. On était très déçu. On n'a pas mangé pour la 5e journée car les menus sont les mêmes Seulement quelques choix. Je ne recommande pas demi-pension pour cet hôtel.

因為第二天一早要去辦事選擇了這裏，酒店在老城比較中心的位置，離威尼斯廣場和教堂很近，周邊環境不錯，樓下就是餐館超市和central parking，停車每晚7歐，有24小時代客泊車的小哥；從伊拉克利翁機場打車過來15分鐘左右，出租車一口價15歐元；這個宜必思尚品的房間以歐洲標準是很大的了，不過裝修就比較粗糙，不像宜必思的慣例，也不是整體衛生間；洗漱用品給的也很隨意，沒有拖鞋，布草也不太好；還好有燒水壺。

We stayed at Kronos Hotel for two nights at the end of May. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a sea view room with a stunning view of the harbour. Breakfast was included and adequate. There was also a water fountain: very useful! The hotel is very conveniently located, close to the harbour, the restaurants and the city centre and good value for money. In addition, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again! Thanks again to Nikos and his colleagues for the warm welcome!

There is street parking…area felt very safe…but also a 3 minute walk there is parking..multi story …8 euros per 24 hours Katerina who runs the suites was very professional and very lovely. 10 min walk to the high street, 5 mins from restaurants and coffee shops. Close to the museum.

Se ritorno a Candia, sarà l’unico hire che prenderò in considerazione!

At the reception (a blonde girl with blue eyes whose name I don't remember) very kind and cordial and professional on the management of the city, the guys at breakfast attentive to needs and requests (incredible they remembered perfectly in the days following the first request I made) , the guys from the top floor restaurant and the exceptional cooks and chefs ..
If I ever return to Heraklion, it will be the only hotel I will consider!

PPengguna TetamuWe just finished a four night stay at Mitsis Laguna and can’t wait to go back. We stayed in the Royal Suite which was a total splurge and completely wonderful. But the property as a whole is very well designed so every room is convenient to everything. The walkout pool rooms and ocean view rooms all looked fantastic as well. Even though we arrived with no dinner reservations and the resort was fully booked, the concierge got us reservations for exactly what we wanted. Our favorite was the Cretan restaurant — the food was amazing and our service (Thursday June 15 was exceptional!!!). The main restaurant (buffet) was very good as well and even in peak hours we never waited more than a couple minutes to be seated. Incredible! We also loved that there is late night buffet food served until 4am along with a late night bar — we were never up quite that late but we did arrive at midnight hour first night and were thrilled to be able to eat hot food! The central pool is heated and an absolute delight to swim in. Seats fill up but we were still always able to snag one whenever turned up. The beach is just at the edge of the property and gorgeous — if a bit choppy for actual swimming! The food cart by the beach though was fantastic, and we hit it every day. We also loved the ice cream shop by the pool. You can rent a car at a desk in the hotel for a day or more easily — was about 60 euros and we drove the 30 minutes to visit the Palace of Knossos, admiring the coastal views along the way. Our daughter also truly loved the magic show (kudos to Rocco the magician!) and the really great arcade. This is a fantastic resort. Even though it’s a large property, you are always just steps away from whatever you need and never feel like you’re part of a crowd. The service from literally everyone is so wonderful. I am writing this from the airport and we are sitting here planning our next Mitsis vacation. Highly recommend.

PPengguna TetamuWe had booked The Olive Green Hotel three years ago, but Covid intervened. However we were delighted to visit in May. It was all that we had hoped for. Centrally situated in Heraklion, the hotel was ideal for our five day stay. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. (Our ferry had arrived at 6 a.m. but we were invited to have breakfast after checking in). We also had dinner in the bar on two occasions and that was both good and well priced. We would certainly return if we visit Heraklion again.

PPengguna TetamuFor many years I have traveled 100 or more days a year. In SEP-OCT 2022, I traveled for a month in Greece staying at 12 hotels (and on an overnight Ferry). In this context and related to price, Heraklion Old Port Apartments was above average. PROS: Cost was very reasonable. The room with living room was clean, very spacious and with a well provided kitchen and fridge (supermarket food was extremely inexpensive in Crete). There were extra towels so no need for service. The young woman at the desk was very helpful and cordial. CONS: Close to the old port but about 700 meters to center of town and more to the National Museum or the main bus station (to Knossos or to the beaches). Still all can be reach by walking. The add say the room had great views which did not materialize. Heraklion has a lively main street around the fountain of the lions and a Great museum on the Minoan civilization which was spectacular. The museum in Heraklion was great but Knossos (reach by city bus) was very disappointing since I care for historical archaeology and not for the distorted recreation of the site by an over-imaginative British amateur. The beaches near Heraklion (which can be reach by inexpensive regular city buses) are adequate but not spectacular. In late September the beaches were not crowded at all, but still with warm water to swim. Heraklion was of interest in itself and where I rented the car to visit the rest of Crete (Xania with a picturesque Venetian port, spectacular Elefonsina Beach great for snorkeling, great ruins of Faestos, and many other atttractions). I spent 6 nights in Crete and could have enjoyed another week at least. Next trip I will stay longer in Crete. Parting remarks: Greece is wonderful, except for the touristic islands which were crowded even in October and I may skip them altogether next time. The Peloponesse resulted better than expected. Athens was safe anytime anywhere I moved, even after midnight. Travel light because not all hotels have elevators and in ancient towns you will climb many stairs and walk over cobblestones. Missing church number 59 was OK, sitting in a café watching people go by and doing nothing was inspiring even for hyper me. I had a wonderful trip.

Rooms are not large, but but enough for the convenient accommodation. The room has the safe, TV, several chairs, table and the wardrobe, electric kettle, air conditioner. There is quite large balcony with two beach chairs and the small table and also drying hanger for the clothes. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of dust in the air from street, so everything gets dusty very quickly. The room has electric sockets next to the beds and two other sockets, one of them with USB port. The personnel speaks English and very friendly and helpful. The avenue Kalokerinou named after the discoverer of the Knossos Palace is quite busy road so it is nicer to live on higher floors. There is a restaurant serving good continental breakfast. There is omelette, ham, cheese, Greek yogurt, flakes, fruits, on the menu. Just 70 meters from the hotel there is Bazaar and in 200 m is Chalkiadakis supermarket, Lidl in 800 m outside of the city walls. All closed on Sundays. The avenue Kalokerinou has several street food places, and if you walk 400 m to Morosini Lions Fountain you can find even more restaurants there. Heraklion has a problem with great beaches, but in 500 m from the hotel there is a Dermatos Bay, where is a wild beach where one can deep into the sea. The proper beach is in Ammoudara in 2.2 km from the hotel. There is another beach in 1 km in front of Talos Plaza shopping mall, but it is rocky and no sunbeds or lifeguard. Another place to swim is the port mole starting from the Kules fortress in 1.2 km. The mole protects from high waves when it is windy and other places are not suitable for swimming.

Highly recommend exploring the labyrinth of side streets where there are lots more shops and hidden away restaurants Easy to get to Knosses Palace by a 25 minute bus journey. Breakfast was nice with enough choice.

PPaulaki68This is my second time staying at the Mirabello Hotel. It is not fancy, however that is not something I look for in a hotel. I look for location, security, cleanliness and wifi. This has all of the above. The staff is super friendly. Our beds were changed daily as were our towels. The rooms are small but very very clean. As for location, you are in the middle of everything Heraklion has to offer in a few steps, and the price is extremely reasonable. There is City Parking Garage conveniently located close by for any rental car you may have. (Pay for the parking for your ENTIRE stay in advance. It is considerably cheaper and you will have no headaches. )

PPengguna TetamuWe arrived by overnight ferry from Athens (Minoan Lines) and the hotel was so close to the port that we decided to walk there as we were backpacking. It took us 10-15 minutes. We entered the hotel at 8AM and were stunned to learn that all three of our rooms were ready for us (6 adults total). I'm sure it was because we were there in the off-season, but it was still a pleasant surprise. The rooms were small, but clean and comfortable. My sister had done a lot of research on restaurants, so we ate most of our breakfasts at one called Crop a few blocks away which was terrific. Net, we didn't pay for/eat the breakfast that the hotel provided up on the top floor. I ran up one morning to check and it looked fine (bread, processed meats, cheeses, a few other things) but nothing that would make you say you had to eat breakfast there. The view was incredible, however. Our rooms did not have ocean views - we faced the street. There were other hotels and apartment buildings nearby and it seemed like a quiet part of town, but again we were there in the off-season. We checked out on our last day around 11AM and they let us store our bags in a locked closet until around 7PM when we caught the overnight ferry back to Athens - very helpful. The staff was lovely, the rooms clean, the location (for our purposes) was terrific so I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
