The villa is very beautiful and peaceful. Stayed there for 12 nights with my boyfriend and we enjoyed the villa so much. All the staff are super friendly and ready to always assist to your satisfaction. The food is very tasty and always freshly made. They are not a five star villa for nothing, They deserve more stars ❤️❤️❤️❤️ This is a very safe environment as well.

Staying at Hakuna Majiwe felt like finding a hidden slice of paradise, a real good value for money. It was made even more special by the incredible team that runs the place. I came here with my parents and my sister this summer, end of July approx. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine care that it felt like coming home. The staff here aren’t just doing their jobs—they’re truly passionate about making your stay unforgettable. Every interaction, from the friendly greetings in the morning to the thoughtful touches throughout the day, showed how much they genuinely care about their guests' experience. They cared a lot, helping with the suitcases, bringing the food to the room (room service), showing a service and type of staff seen nowhere but as in Hakuna Majiwe. What really stood out to me, though, was the food. Breakfast had a variety in worldwide and local food, which is thanked to try the flavors from Zanzibar. Every meal was a treat, bursting with fresh, local flavors, they tasted amazing, hats off to the chef, who even asked us if everything was good! The chefs clearly put their heart into every meal, and it shows. If we had to mention a downside, we would say that, as we kind of came in a time in which there were no guests, we missed a bit more of activity, animation at the hotel… Though, some new guests came the last 2 days we had there. Hakuna Majiwe isn’t just a hotel; it’s a place where you feel truly looked after, where every detail is taken care of so you can fully relax and enjoy your surroundings. The amazing staff, food and decoration made my stay here something I’ll always remember fondly! Thanks!!

I am a single disabled traveller. The staff here could not have been more accommodating and I appreciate everything they did for me while on holiday for 2 weeks. I arrived about 10am and the reception staff were very welcoming. There is a shower room and toilets to use until you can check in and all inclusive started from arrival until the time I left. I was able to check in to my room early and take a much needed rest. The beds were super comfortable, aircon and fan adequate, shower pressure was good, toiletries provided although I had my own. A fridge is available on request which I requested and was given swiftly. Rooms cleaned daily and a turn down service and mosquito spray every night was perfect. I didn’t get bitten once while in Zanzibar but I did also take a plug in bug killer too. My room was not one of the newly refurbished so was a little rough around the edges… tiling could have been finished better, mosquito nets had a couple of holes and some that were patched up, fraying on the floor mat and the outside seating a little worn but in a sea view room, right by the bar and pool I was more than comfortable and my small issues were non issues while sat on the porch in the morning with a coffee 🤣 Entertainment was ok although it’s not something I care about, acrobats, dancers, live music, volley ball and aqua aerobics were some I saw. The animation team were lovely though and even when there were no events on some made an effort to interact with me and other guests and just have a nice chat sharing stories and talking about life of the island which I loved. The main restaurant staff went above and beyond by reserving me a downstairs table every day and arranging breakfast in my room and again even though being busy they were super friendly and had time for a quick chat giving that personal feel to the holiday. Food was spot on for me, lots of salads and fresh meat and fish, there was something for everyone. I would like to have seen a few more traditional foods or a traditional dish of the day with some history to in and information on local spices and ingredients used. Customer relations were great in resolving a couple of small issues I had swiftly and making the effort to follow up and check if there is anything else they can do, a special shout out to Joy who was lovely! Snacks could have been better with the all inclusive. They consisted of mostly bread based things with no protein and some pineapple. Drinks were fine, ice coffee from the beach bar was my favourite! All bar staff were lovely too. Yes the tide goes out quite far but you could walk around and explore the wildlife in the pools left behind or access the sea by the jetty. Beaches were small with the tide in but again adequate due to this not being a huge hotel. Always sunbeds and seating available. The safari booked through the hotel was a bit rough for me and my bad back but still a memorable experience and well worth the price. Plane ride back from safari is super

This really is a wonderful place everything you need to relax. Small place, just 12 rooms, perfectly formed! Superb outlook, great bungalow accommodation, fabulous team of well trained locals led by one of the coolest and most efficient guys I have come across. Roger the Rasta is on it and you wouldn't even know it. Great choice of food and reasonably priced. Plenty of varieties of drinks and if you want something specific for your stay Roger and his team will oblige. Nothing seems too much. My daughters had a number of spa treatments as did some of the other guests who were there and all came back glowing. There were some low key, very entertaining events put on that got all guests hooked. Would definitely like to return soon!

😀 I contacted the hotel to inform them of my 0400 arrival. They welcomed myself and my daughter with a warm welcome. The bedroom was beautiful with a lovely large bed. The, which was decorated with red petals. We didn’t want to mess up the petals🤓🤓. mattress was excellent qualitygood . The bathroom was a lovely size. I enjoyed my showers, but had to get use to the very salty water, which made my skin itchy at times. I have very sensitive skin ( No fault of the hotel 🤓). Bathroom toiletries smelt lovely. The staff are all amazing. Hamadi, Ayubu, Dayana and Alan 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. The owner was very attentive and would ask the guests how they are. The restaurant area and lounge area are large and clean. The pool area in front of the restaurant is large and clean. My favourite area of the hotels is the jetty area. There is a beautiful pool down in that area, where myself and my daughter requested a floating breakfast. It was paradise. The floating breakfast was an additional USD$30. I strongly recommend it. Hamadi and Alan brought the floating breakfast singing to us. It was amazing. My daughter enjoyed the jet ski. She was in her element. The restaurant food was lovely and cooked to perfection. Well done to the 🧑🏾‍🍳. I love that the hotel is calm, private and secluded. Away from the hustle, bustle and noise. If you want a peaceful and relaxing stay Blue moon resort is the one for you! Thank you Blue moon for a wonderful stay! I would strongly recommend this hotel 💯%. The hotel arranged a phone with the pharmacist and they delivered my daughter’s tablet to us. 😡 The road leading to the hotel needs attention. It’s very very bumpy and uncomfortable. The bedroom/bathroom needs a brighter light. Too dim. I’m a vegetarian and have a fish/seafood allergy and felt limited to the food choices in the evenings. I had vegetarian curry or vegetarian pasta. I didn’t like the vegetarian burger.
