The food was delicious, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, which I really appreciated. Untortunately, I did experience a satety issue in my room. The water glass provided was shattered when I arrived, and I sustained a minor cut on my finger when I went to move it. I felt the situation could have been handled with more care given that it involved a guest injury. Overall, there are many positives here, but I hope the hotel improves its room-check procedures to prevent this from happening to future guests.

Our stay at La Joya Balangan Resort was absolutely stunning. We were warmly welcomed by Loly, who personally took us to our breathtaking three-bedroom villa. The moment we walked in, we were blown away by the cliffside ocean views. Our private pool and villa space felt just as spacious as the main pool, making it perfect for relaxing with the family. The rooms were comfortable, and the open living area in the three-bedroom villa added to the unique experience—we didn’t mind it at all and actually enjoyed the open-air feel. Breakfast offered a good selection, and the staff throughout the resort were friendly and helpful, especially with arranging massages and motorbike hire. One of the highlights for our family was that the kids had daily surfing lessons with local instructors, which they absolutely loved. During our stay, we visited Sunday Beach Club, where we spent a fun-filled day with the kids. We also dined at Honditis, which lived up to its Instagram-famous reputation—the food was very good. Another highlight was visiting The Malini, where we were greeted with incredible cliffside views, fresh seafood, and a truly memorable dining experience. La Joya Balangan Resort is perfect for families looking for comfort, great service, and unforgettable views. We would happily stay again.

Overally good place to stay, need to take bike or car to travel out

We loved this hotel. Lovely small resort with beautiful spacious bungalows with your own little garden. Grounds are lovely green and it has a great view to the ocean and easy and to the beach with lots of lovely, basic, warungs.

Loved our stay at La Joya. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Location is a bit out of the way but worth it for the sunset views. Very easy to order a grab to Uluwatu if you want to explore.

Wonderful experience in this resort.. If u want good rest and relax that's ideal place for it! Nice swimming pool, view on balagan beach.. Breakfast is good but not a lot options Cocktails can be better We were really enjoyed

La Joya Balangan is a great hotel to relax and unwind. Several pools for a quick refresher, ocean view and a short walk down to the beach. Sand is more like broken seashells and the riffs are quite sharp so I recommend some kind of reef shoes especially for the kids. When the tide is in the water comes up all the way to the warungs at the beach. When the tide is out it reveals Little Rock pools perfect for playing with the kids. The waves are good for learning to surf with one of the plenty schools at the shore. The Spa at the hotel offers several treatments and is very nice. Food and beverages are affordable for a hotel and good cuisine. Yoga classes twice a day (extra costs) And marvellous views for the sunsets in the evening right for the cocktail happy hour! Totally recommend!

The view is stunnig

Good boutique hotel. Food was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable rooms, we stayed in a lovely bungalow. Need a few more sun lounges. We couldn't use the second garden pool as there was only 3 day beds and no sun lounge. Not many shops or restaurants in area so you need transport although we didn't mind. We wanted to relax BUT....disaster! Unfortunately our experience was ruined by dogs barking all through the night on the four nights we stayed .Cockrals from 4.30am every morning. Also some locals hooning around on loud motocross motorbikes through the area day and night meant we did not have a peaceful holiday. It's such a shame as it really ruined our experience at this hotel and destroys the Balangan area. Unfortunately we won't return.

Our experience in la joya was fabulous. Perfect cleaning, beautiful and very well maintained garden with beautiful pool. The staff is very professional and kind. Also the restaurant has great food. The quality price for the resort is Fair! Thank you for your service!!!

Considering the price, this hotel is a hidden gem, especially given the fact that we came to Singapore after Bali, the hotel stood out like a diamond in the rough.

Secluded resorts which expected to have mozzies & bugs issues to take note of.

Was there 6 years ago... Everything is the same. The hotel has an atmosphere, there is a place to walk on the territory, close to the beach, if you don't want to ride a bike. There is almost nothing around within walking distance, the beach is beautiful, but for swimming so-so, surfer theme. The price tag in the hotel is above average, and overpriced. I'm unlikely to come again, there are more comfortable and cheaper places

The staff provided excellent service and the food was delicious.
