This was a truly special experience! The hotel service was excellent, with golf cart transfers available anytime. Upon check-in, a dedicated staff member connected with us via WeChat, WhatsApp, etc., which was very convenient. Payments could also be made with Alipay and UnionPay. The hotel's scenery is beautiful, and there's a wide variety of services and activities to choose from. Inside the rooms, you can use a fireplace, and outside there are bonfires. I'll definitely be back! I also want to thank Arick Semut for always helping us book activities.

Happy that our room was upgraded but it was not with any view. Good that hotel changed the room after our feedback and the second room was much better with better view. However, the bed was sinking and it was not comfortable. Overall, service was good and it’s a very nice and relax hotel to stay in Munduk.

Munduk is one of Bali’s hidden gems. This resort is renowned for its coffee and commitment to sustainable practices. We highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Bali, who would prefer a quiet and peaceful vacation.

My mum and I stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it! From the location, staff, food, service and cleanliness, we couldn’t fault it. Definitely will be coming back and staying longer.

Lovely! What a beautiful place to stay in munduk. Very environmentally friendly. Straws were made of bamboo. Lovely scenic beauty with the perpendicular pool. Got a private butler who would respond back in minutes and get things done. Food was amazing as well. All in all a must place to stay if you are visiting bali. Get their perpendicular pool villa with jaccuzi.

This 5 star hotel is really excellent. It’s located up the mountain in central Bali looking out over the forests and jungle towards Ubud. It’s cooler as a result and providing it’s not too cloudy (hotel can be in the clouds at 1200m elevation), you can see for many miles. This really makes the infinity pools spectacular.  Rooms are spacious, we had a villa with hot tub but also had a nice garden, and room is equipped with everything you might need including mosquito net over the bed. As you would expect, the service and restaurants are first class offering a selection of Balinese and western dishes. The hotel is also a working coffee plantation and this is apparent in many ways, from the morning tours (free) to the 4 types of coffee power included in the complimentary room tea & coffee set. It’s a beautiful hotel, pricy though and there’s not much in the local vicinity, but if you want luxury and a great experience in central Bali, it’s a good choice.

It was a very nice stay having such marvelous view. You will be feeling the pure nature with all your senses. Clouds are surrounding you. They are also offered us the floating breakfast in the pool. They gave us a complementary SPA for me and my wife but we could get it this time. There are few issues related to: 1. Adopt with being surrounded by small flies living normally in planted areas. 2. It's 3 hours far from the airport. 3. Pool temperature will not exceed 22-24 actually so it will be cold by anyway.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to unwind than Mudunk Moding Plantation Nature Resort. While many visitors opt to stay near the beach, we were seeking peace, beauty, and immersion in nature—and this resort delivered all that and more. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt warm and welcoming. The staff greeted us with friendly smiles, refreshing welcome drinks, and cool towels. We were then whisked to our villa by a golf buggy—a small but thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. Our villa featured a heated jacuzzi and a private infinity pool—absolute heaven! The view was breathtaking, and the jacuzzi was already warm when we arrived. We jumped right in and couldn’t stop smiling. It was one of those perfect moments where everything just felt right. We stayed for two nights and dined at both on-site restaurants. The first evening at the Balinese restaurant coincided with happy hour (cocktails were buy one, get one free). Unfortunately, the cocktails were watery and lacked flavor, which was a letdown since I had envisioned sipping something lovely in the jacuzzi with that view. The food was okay but a bit bland—I would like to add some salt to bring out the taste. The western-style restaurant on the second night was a better experience. The dishes were more flavorful and suited my palate, though the fries were soft and resembled oven chips—crispy fries would’ve made the meal more satisfying. Another minor downside was the limited beer selection. Guinness was on the menu but unavailable during our stay. A broader or more reliable selection of drinks would elevate the dining experience for guests who enjoy a cold one with a view. On the brighter side, the floating breakfast was a standout—absolutely sensational! You can order anything from the menu as long as you don’t waste food. We devoured everything on the first day. On the second, the only thing I couldn’t finish was the sweet green beans with chia seeds—too sweet for my taste, but everything else was delicious. I also treated myself to a spa massage, and it was one of the highlights of my stay. The setting was tranquil, the therapist was skilled, and I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed—exactly what I needed. Another detail I truly appreciated was the resort’s commitment to environmental sustainability. There were no plastic products in the room, which reflects their thoughtful effort to protect the natural surroundings. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be better ventilation in the bathroom—perhaps a window or enhanced airflow. Despite the minor flaws—the cocktails, fries, and beer options—the serene atmosphere, impeccable service, stunning views, and thoughtful touches made this an unforgettable getaway. Mudunk Moding Plantation Nature Resort will absolutely be my first choice when I return to Bali. If you’re someone who values peace, nature, and the joy of escaping to a tranquil paradise, this is the place for you.
