Hotel berhampiran Bandar Ubud, Bali

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were beautiful with lovely little details. Afternoon tea was a lovely touch. A la carte breakfast was delicious. Staff were so helpful at all times, nothing was too much. Pool facilities lovely. Overall a very relaxing and calming hotel but still in the middle of Ubud. Would definitely stay again!

Even though the resort has only been open a few months since Covid the staff and facilities were great. Views to die for and the pool and breakfast area are away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. Location is perfect and close to bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, money changers, etc. Room size is above average and decorated in true Balinese style. Serene, peaceful, pure bliss, and would highly recommend.

This hotel is in great walking distance to the art market, restaurants, and shopping. Although the front entrance is being renovated, that does not impede access to the hotel and is not noisy. (New brickwork being laid on the ground) The ambiance of the location is quite nice with lots of greenery and unique architecture. Our room was clean and large, but the balcony cannot be used in the mornings or evenings due to the monkeys! This hotel is right next to the monkey forest, so expect visitors. Several monkeys blocked our way from walking out of our room one evening, but a hotel worker chased them off for us. It did take getting used to needing to hang wet bathing suits in the bathroom rather than a drying rack on a balcony. The monkeys seem to come early in the mornings (3:30-4:30!) and in the evenings (6:00-8:00). Other than those times, we did not see them nor have any problems with them. There is a small but nice hot buffet breakfast at the hotel and two swimming pools.

If you are particular about cleanliness or have any respiratory issues, this probably may not be a good option. When we checked in, we were greeted by an aircon that was very noisy, like hard knocking from inside. On getting closer, we were quite disgusted to see the amount that dirt inside. Can’t help but wonder when it was last cleaned. When we reported this to the lady at the recept, she said there’s nothing she can do, got to wait till the next day. Disappointingly, we went back and turn it down to low fan (it was left at high when we checked in), the sound went away, but when we went back the next day, the aircon still look as dirty. The best sheets and pillow cases were also stained and very thin. The earliest you can breakfast is 8am. We had a tour at 830am and our breakfast was only served at 820, so we had to wolf down our breakfast in order to be on time for our tour. The next day, we went outside to look for breakfast as we were afraid we will be late for our tour. The good part is that the location was good, and the breakfast was decent and they had a water dispenser behind the recept that you can help yourself to. We did not get to check out the swimming pool though the recept told us that it was open till 9pm.

The hotel is very nice and the rooms are well appointed with a work area, comfy chair and some balcony furniture. The bathroom has a window which overlooks the bed and the balcony but there is a blind you can pull down. The bed was very comfy and so were the pillows. There isn't much sound proofing and we were near the lobby and restaurant so we heard a lot of noise in the morning when we tried to sleep in but from 10 pm to 6 am there wasn't much noise thankfully. The resort is kind of a small wellness and they have some activities like ping pong, a levelled pool area, suction cup archery, badminton and coconut bowling. The breakfast restaurant was quite good and offered a good variety of Asian, western and vegetarian options. I was excited to see and try snake fruit for the first time and was able to find something to enjoy each day. Eggs and soup are made to order but each station took a little bit of time to get our orders out each time. The dal curry was a highlight and they had a good rice dish each day as well. We also tried the pool bar and it was great for an afternoon snack and cocktail after a full day being in Ubud. The hotel location isn't the best and we were there during a busy couple of days for ceremonies and tourists which made getting in and out of the hotel area very hard. It took us 2 hours to get to the airport from here and we spent a lot of time stuck in traffic instead of sightseeing due to congestion. A restaurant which would normally be a 15 minute drive took us 40 minutes to get to. The hotel is about a half an hour walk to Ubud Centre but they offer a scheduled shuttle service to Ubud Centre and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary but you have to book at reception and there's only 10 seats per shuttle. We found we couldn't get as much done as we wanted to in Bali due to the congestion in Ubud as it took a considerable amount of time for drivers to get to us and we weren't comfortable with driving a scooter with so much traffic. The hotel did offer bicycles but the infrastructure is not that good around the hotel for walkers let alone bicyclists. The service was prompt at the hotel. We had a late but efficient check in and they offered us coupons for their laundry service and massage. We ran out of water but they would bring us as many as we wanted any time of day which was super nice. They offered to bring our luggage to the room and stored it while we are breakfast prior to an early pickup.

It is a wonderful hotel, we booked a villa with pool and jungle view. It had most of the amenities in the room, except hair dryer and mini bar staff. You could order from the restaurant 24h though but it would be nicer to have it near you as there was a fridge. Amazing view, really quiet place and nice staff. The negatives were the location as you need a transport and the local drivers are expensive and the change the deal from one day to another. You can't have grab taxi and you have to walk to the main road or book tourist tours to get rid of them. Generally very nice experience and good food at the restaurants and the breakfast was also rich.

I always love staying at Komaneka Rasa Sayang when in Ubud and have stayed there many times on my own, with friends and with family. My last visit was with my brother who joined me from Cape Town. He absolutely loved it. The service is exceptional and I always feel very spoilt by the amazing staff and it does feel like it is my second home in Bali. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Ubud. From the moment I arrive, I am always welcomed back like family. The rooms are so beautiful and spacious with gorgeous bathrooms and balconies with daybeds overlooking lush greenery. A jar of home made cookies and fruit basket is a lovely touch. The hotel is set back from the main road but it is so peaceful and only steps away from the centre of Ubud with lots of great shops and restaurants and the monkey forest. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing surrounded by palm trees, nature and the sound of running water from the river below. The staff are so attentive at the pool and it is a great spot to enjoy the daily complimentary afternoon tea. The breakfast is delicious and has lots of variety. The restaurant setting is beautiful overlooking the pool. If something is not on the breakfast menu, just ask and the staff will go out of their way to make it for you if possible. I wish to compliment Ari at reception for her exceptional and always polite and friendly service. I did miss seeing Ibu Desak and Sitiari this time. Can’t wait to be back there again

In the room, one wall was covered in mold. There was a corresponding odor that would not go away. The bed linen and towels smelled moldy. It’s not safety for costumers health.

Amazing hotel ! I enjoyed my stay there 🥰 the service was amazing , thanks for the welcoming tea . I upgraded my room to deluxe room cus I wanted to have a bathtub and it was the best decision. The room was very spacious, very clean and authentically beautiful . I had 2 balconies and one of them had a view to Agung mountain 🏔️ The hotel located on rice fields which is very unique and pretty , there are some locations for your pics . The hotel also has a pool, gym, spa and restaurant. I liked the food and everything. Thank you!

This was our last accommodation in Bali. As mentioned in most reviews, this is right next to the Monkey Forest in Ubud and also extremely close to quite a few restaurants. This is also very close to central Ubud ie Ubud Palace/Art market etc. Needless to say the major usp of the place is definitely the location. We got the room closest to the reception/entrance on the ground floor. Also as mentioned in numerous other reviews due to the close proximity of the property to the Monkey forest, we get frequent visits (raids might be an even better word) from the monkeys from time to time. Because of this we were instructed to always keep the sliding door shut. This is naturally a dampener but there isn't much else one can do about it. Kudos to the staff especially the ones in the restaurant for being able to operate under these circumstances. Also can't praise the staff enough for always being accommodating to every request as well as helping out without us even asking. Some of the examples of this would be the staff attending to a leak in the bathroom at 10 in the night (we had just mentioned the minor issue so that they would get someone to look at it in the morning) and our breakfast being packed on the last day (we actually said we won't be having breakfast due to the lack of time to catch our flight). We also made friends with the driver Gedeh who was extremely helpful and friendly. The review is rated a 4 instead of 5 because of a few minor things like the wi-fi reception in the room and the entire situation with the monkeys. All in all would recommend a stay here.
