Ulasan Grand Jatra Hotel Balikpapan

Overall it's all ok, breakfast many choice but lack of flavor. The most upset, we thought parking is free but it deduct on our credit. We already double check with receptionist about the parking and we give our car number plate to double check in the parking system. Poor management please upgrade the services.

Stated 5 stars but really is 3-3.5 stars if youncompare to the real international 5 stars brands.

Hotel was tired and staff are inexperienced in the hospitality industry. Room: stayed on 8th floor. Pillows had strong sweat smell and looked like they havent been changed in a while. Room decor was pretty basic with basic laminate flooring. In the bathroom there was complimentary shower gel and shampoo but when the bottles were pressed, it was very watery and seemed like the staff had simply topped it up with regular water. Room internet was also extremely poor and I gave up after half an hour of trying. Breakfast was a big spread but not of high quality. The bubur was lumpy. Fried chicken was tasteless (possibly indicating being frozen for some time) and the chefs cooking the indomie simply threw the noodle cake into a half filled water bath and did not stir or monitor the cooking resulting in half cooked indomie. Breakfast section also smelled like a massive cigarette factory as there were smoking sections. Upside: Great location as part of a mall development. There is a comfortable lounge in the lobby conducive to meetings and afternoon catchups. Staff at the lobby lounge were very pleasant and efficient and went out of their way to clear our cups quickly and take new orders. Always smiling. This hotel is a very stark contrast to the mercure semarang where we spent the previous night.

Wifi connection is bad. Service is good. Location is convenient.

Most hotels on the outer islands are all pretty much the same.

Check in and check out was seamless. Breakfast was bit hectic with nobody show us where to seat so we had to wander around. The variety of breakfast was OK, their tempe goreng surprisingly was the best in my pov. Room was basic, small bed compared to other hotels with the same price, no in-room minibar.

This is an old hotel which trying to catch up, the price is too high compared with the hotel services. The provided services and facilities equal to 3 star hotel.

Bed sheet and pillowcase has bad smell.

This hotel cannot put 5 star rating. Hotel condition is very old and got some place not repair. And the bed is not clean

Good place to stay

Generally pretty good. Hotel is slightly older and more tired than it looks in the photos. Hotel is in same building as a large shopping mall.

Cleanliness is quite good. Service is also good. The pool is just enough. Until 9pm the pool is still open. Next to it there is a gymnasium

Location is wonderful. But little dirty and too much noisy. I can hear clearly the outside store music sound until late time and traffic sound also. For the more, The room was not soundproofed at all, so I could hear sounds from the room next door and the hallway very clearly.
