Stayed here a few times when visiting Ballymena on business and until now never had an issue Booked a superior room for 2 nights- the rate was reasonable at just under £200 per night, and the room and food were acceptable ( although the rather poor breakfast advertises hash browns, which are never available, since BREXIT apparently! For the first night, all was OK For the second night, when i retuned late afternoon there was obviously a wedding taking place, and this is when things started to go downhill Early evening there was a football match on in the bar and some over refreshed guests from the wedding decide to behave as though they were at the game, shouting and swearing, which was rather off putting for a supposedly 4 star establishment On returning to my my room, which was right above where the wedding disco was happening, the music was very loud, and went on....and on......and on....until I phoned reception at 11pm and was advised the music would go on until 1am!! Whilst it wasnt the fault of the wedding guests, the hotel I think has failed on 2 aspects When taking bookings guests who are not part of a planned wedding party, advise them there is a wedding on and there will be associated noise, and do this at the time of booking/ and/or advise at check in and ensure they are situated away from the noise Or, do not book in business travellers midweek when there is a wedding on! As it stood, I had about 3 hours sleep less than I would have done, because I wasnt prewarned of the noise, or sited in a different part of the hotel Nothing was done to adjust my bill, so I wont be staying again
