The Ivy Hotel

I booked an overnight reservation for my husband's birthday celebration. The entire experience was unique and simply outstanding in every way! We were made to feel VERY SPECIAL by each and every staff member with whom we engaged. We were CONTINUALLY welcomed throughout the stay from the person who opened the car door and greeted us by name to the very knowledgeable concierges, the room service staff, the culinary staff, the bellman, the driver, Lottie Dottie and EVERYBODY! The hotel was very clean and beautifully adorned with pictures, books, furniture, plants and artifacts that told the story of the hotel. This includes the very accommodating bedroom with a comfortable canopy bed and a pristine, spacious and updated bathroom. One could ALWAYS count on soul-stirring music playing in the background of every public space. Each tune moved us to murmur the lyrics regardless of where we were and what we were doing. Ever had a snack attack? No worries! The room was well stocked with a variety of goodies and beverages to soothe those evening urges. And, finally, let me praise the food selections offered to us at teatime and breakfast. Homemade jam, almond butter, muffins, oat flapjacks, chicken sausage, eggs, and more! This was quite an awesome getaway! And, yes, we would do it all over again!

There is NO experience like this! From the moment you pull up to the hotel, to the moment you leave, you are treated like royalty, celebrity status, and EVERYONE there was genuinely kind and gracious, wanting to make sure your stay is the most memorable experience. Words can NEVER describe this experience and I will most assuredly be coming back!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with a stay at the Ivy. It was by far the best hotel experience we have ever had. Everyone on the staff we encountered addressed us by name and with a smile. Our suite was so comfortable and relaxing that we rarely felt the need to leave it. When we did go out to dinner, Preston drove us to the restaurant and gave us a mini tour of downtown on the way. He also pointed out the other places we might want to eat while we were in town. He then said he would pick us up whenever we were ready to leave. Our visit to Magdalena was also exceptional. The food was very good and the staff made sure to provide anything we wanted and some things we didn't know we wanted. Their recommendations were spot on. Once again, the service was excellent. We took advantage of the couples massage at the spa and had a fantastic experience there as well. The ladies there were also excellent and made it extremely difficult to leave. Any future visit to the Ivy will have to include a massage. Our son is in school in Baltimore and somewhat of a Baltimore history buff. He stopped by to visit us during the afternoon tea (also excellent) and Calvin gave him a personal tour and explained the history of the building to him. We were all impressed by the depth of knowledge and level of detail Calvin was able to go into regarding everything from the floor tiles to the chandeliers. It was clear to us that everyone on the staff of the Ivy is well trained and enjoys their job. The level of customer service surpassed our expectations at every level. It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. I could end my review right there. However, there is so much that is perfect at this hotel that wouldn't do it justice. The level of service is miles above any other establishment. We have stayed at many of the top tiers of the major chain hotels and thought that those were very nice hotels. The Ivy is at another sphere. The level of service is incomparable. The staff know you by name and do everything in their power to make you feel taken care of. From knowing your dietary restrictions and preferences to ensuring that you have the perfect night's sleep with turn-down service. I can go on and on, but just know that this place is THE BEST place to stay in Baltimore and probably on the Atlantic itself.

My wife and I went to the Ivy Hotel for our anniversary. We had a wonderful time. The customer service is outstanding, very personalized and they made sure we had a positive experience at the hotel. From the welcome glass of champagne to the help yourself cocktail bar everything was first class. Staying there, you really wouldn't even know you were in downtown Baltimore, it is a nice way to disconnect from everything. Unfortunately Magdalena was closed when we were there (it was a Sunday), but that does give us a great reason to come back! Thank you to Calvin and the rest of the team there for making our anniversary celebration so special!

The Ivy is our all-time favorite hotel. The team is outstanding. Not a detail is missed. They’ve thought of everything. The rooms are beautiful and the beds insanely comfortable. The bathrooms are so welcoming. The restaurant is always a delight. We’ll be back.

This was one of the most aesthetically pleasing hotels I have ever stayed at. Service was exceptional, starting with James, the concierge, ending with the Valet service. You have the opportunity to mix your own cocktails which is really fun. Highly recommend.

The Ivy Hotel is a stunning hotel tucked in the Mt Vernon neighborhood. They hosted my wedding and it was everything I could have asked for. The staff is attentive and made us feel special. Every room is gorgeous, the mansion bar is great, complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the beds are very very comfortable! They were very accommodating for our vegan requests.

AMAZING!! Not used lightly. Our stay was transformative. From the moment we stepped out of our vehicle to the moment we we pulled away after our stay. All of our expectations were surpassed. We went here for part of our 25th Anniversary. We will remember our stay ( and dinner @ Magdelinas ) forever. We will be returning. Yes we may need budget for it. Nevertheless.. every aspect of this Hotel Experience makes you money well spent. Simply amazing.
