Best stay most fun full of activities all included and had best views and the employees so nice also got the chance to see the vintage cars

Staying at the Shangri La Al Husn Muscat has been one of the highlights of our time in the Middle East. We decided to go for my girlfriends birthday and the team worked exceptionally well with me to deliver a unforgettable experience. Getting to the Shangri La was a bit of a challenge and taxis do not come cheap in Oman. Though it was not challenging I do wish there was a pickup/drop off option for the guests. The inclusive breakfast was wonderful and ordering off the menu assured that everything you ordered stayed fresh. There was a mixup with our order due to a language barrier but the food was still phenomenal. The in room breakfast and room service was a highlight as it allowed you to take full advantage of the room and with the inbuilt heaters in the dining table assured the food stayed hot. The value for money on in room dining was disappointing as an order of a burger and fries came with a small amount of fries, however that was fixed with our next order. The afternoon tea was delicious, highlights being the fromage and watermelon and the scones. Each afternoon tea was different and kept the palate excited. The happy hour beverages were also included and always came with a suprise canapé from the restaurant. In terms of the staycation, it was perfect. The interior and exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the sound of the ocean left you relaxed for the stay. I would like to raise that there was a lot of sealife by the beach which deterred us from swimming in the sea as we had heard a lot about the Omani coast and didn’t have much confidence in the beach patrol and lifeguards there. We noticed some playing on their phones but they were always happy to assist taking a picture for the two of us. I would suggest a more upfront approach when it comes to what you can expect in the sea there. A visitors lounge was also available allowing you to take full opportunity of the facilities till you left for your next adventure.

Al Husn hotel has a great location and all the staff are extremely friendly and attentative. However, breakfast time can be a little chaotic due to lack of staff and many tables are left uncleared causing delays for person coming in for breakfast.

Having just spent 10 days in this hotel overlooking the Gulf of Oman has been an absolute delight. From arrival we were made to feel welcome by Anne & the front office team who ensured our room had a fantastic view and our stay was special with every need met with a warm smile. The hotel is beautiful and the infinity pool is amazing. The private beach, a short walk or buggy ride was fantastic. Cold water and Juice was supplied at the pool and beach with plenty of ice, just what you need in the heat. Due to the time of year the hotel was at low occupancy, but this meant that staff ensured we had personal service on a daily basis. Richilda the F & B manager visited us daily to ensure all our needs were met and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. The Chef Mohsin in the Savannah restaurant would chat to us daily to ensure everything was perfect and a particular mention to Mary Ann who looked after us every morning and made us feel special with her infectious smile and service. Thank you Mary Ann. Our entire experience was fantastic and we would highly recommend this hotel, we understand it is becoming a Waldorf hotel so things will get even better. The new Hotel Manager Eugene de Rooze would communicate with us almost daily to ensure our stay was special. Thank you for your time Eugene. Our stay at this hotel was absolutely incredible. If you are looking for a completely quiet, relaxing, and luxurious getaway, I cannot recommend this place enough. From the moment we arrived until the second we checked out, the service was flawless. A huge thank you to all the employees who worked so hard to provide such great service. I want to give a special mention to Shaima, and an extra special thank you to Suad. Suad did an absolutely amazing job coordination-wise before my arrival, maintained that incredible hospitality throughout our stay, and ensured everything was perfect right up until we checked out. Two specific highlights really made our stay stand out: Flawless Valet Service: Every single time we called for our car from our room, it was already waiting for us at the front the moment we stepped into the lobby. Exceptional efficiency! Poolside Hospitality: The service by the pool was fantastic. The staff was incredibly attentive, constantly keeping us refreshed with cold water, juices, and anything else we needed without us even having to ask. We had a wonderful, peaceful time and will definitely be recommending this luxurious hotel to everyone. We can't wait to return!
