It was a great stay. The hotel is nice and staff is very friendly and helpful. The location, to my opinion, is a bit away from the nearest BTS station, so u have to walk for 15 min or so. There is a nice morning market nearby.

Great stay in a central location! The hotel is situated right in the city center, making it very convenient to catch a taxi. If you prefer the train, it’s about a 15-minute walk away. The room was impressively clean and well-designed, with plenty of power outlets available all around the room, which was very convenient. There’s also a safety deposit box for peace of mind. To top it off, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Summary: Central location, Convenient, Power outlets, Safety deposit box, Friendly / Welcoming.

It’s my third time staying in this lovely hotel. Very friendly staffs, nice air and smell, very comfortable bed and rooms. Excellent location but need to walk 10-15mins to the nearby BTS. Hope the room can be little bit bigger but cosy enough. Don’t forget to visit the morning local market and one really nice cafe:monochrome

This was my first time in Bangkok, and I chose the Mercure Bangkok Surawong. I've never had such a terrible hotel experience. The hotel itself is relatively new, with a bright lobby and rooms, but the actual stay was incredibly disappointing. First, let's talk about the location. It's supposedly 1.4 km from ICONSIAM, but taking a taxi there was a nightmare due to heavy traffic. It cost around 40 RMB (about $6 USD) for roughly 6 km, which felt expensive, and it took forever. The 7-Eleven downstairs isn't very convenient either, as you have to cross two streets, and there aren't many other dining options nearby. The street itself is old and located in a residential area. What was most infuriating is that I specifically requested *not* to have a room at the end of the hall. So, the front desk temporarily assigned me the second-to-last room. I stayed for two nights, and there were constant strange noises! On the first night, besides the persistent clunking sounds, there were people screaming and fighting hysterically. The soundproofing was absolutely terrible. And around 5 AM, there was the sound of someone chopping bones, making the bed vibrate. I didn't change rooms on the second day because I had plans to go out, so I grudgingly stayed in the same room. The noises continued, and I didn't get any sleep at all. I only dared to close my eyes after sunrise the next morning. Avoid this hotel!

The environment is good, and the service is also decent. However, I can't say much for the hygiene; the bedsheets and duvet covers weren't very clean, and the pillows had a strong odor. There was also a very sharp corner by the bed that I accidentally cut my foot on. Plus, I'm not sure if the hotel doesn't provide razors or if I didn't explain myself clearly, but when I asked for a razor, they gave me two toothbrushes instead.

Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Was staying with family and would highly recommend. Good breakfast and the Sky Bar has great views and atmosphere with good selection of drinks as well as nice bar food items. Great location in Bangkok to get around to main attractions and shopping locations.

Really good. The breakfast was suitable, the location was excellent, and the service was warm and friendly. When I lost my room card, they immediately replaced it for me, and all my requests I mentioned in advance were noted. All in all, it was genuinely great. Thank you all!

The bad 1. Was given the room in the picture and was told and insisted it is in fact the the superior room I booked (as oppose to the classic room I suspect it being) well, let me ask the audience. If so I couldn’t imagine how small is the actual classic room is. Hands down the smallest room in bkk I’ve stayed at. 2. Terrible water pressure. 3. No amenities in the room (only upon requests) 3. Stayed at Mercure Hotel Surawong Bangkok and overall the service was good. Staff were polite and helpful when needed, and check-in/check-out went smoothly. Requests were handled properly, though not especially fast or memorable. Housekeeping did their job well and the room was kept clean. While the service wasn’t exceptional, it was reliable and professional throughout the stay. A solid experience that met expectations.

Great choice for solo travelers. I love the vibe here — the room is cozy, has everything you need, and the bed is super comfy. The staff are helpful, and my room was serviced every day. The room feels new and well-maintained. Next time, I’ll definitely try the rooftop bar. The location is also great — perfect for a morning walk, with a morning market just 20 steps away. There’s even a spa café right across the road. The area feels very safe

Great value for money! The room was a bit small but very new and comfortable to stay in. The bedding was excellent, and the towels were thick and luxurious. The water pressure in the bathroom was also very good. The breakfast is optional; it's quite repetitive. The only downside is that the location is a bit far from the subway station. The hotel offers a free shuttle service, but the frequency is too low, so most of the time you have to take a motorbike taxi yourself.
