The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were consistently friendly and attentive. They were particularly wonderful with our one-year-old grandchild, which made a real difference to our experience. The atmosphere in the evening was relaxed, and the seating area felt cosy and inviting. The only reason for not awarding five stars was the service in the bar area, which was quite slow. At breakfast, there was also a delay before we were approached for menu orders, and we had already helped ourselves while waiting. That said, I would like to emphasise that the staff themselves were genuinely lovely, and overall we had a very enjoyable stay. If you want, I can tighten it further for TripAdvisor/Google length or make it more formal depending on where you're posting it.

A very pleasant stay at Scarman as part of a work development event. The room was clean, warm and spacious. The food at the venue was good and there was a good selection. I would happily stay there again.

Perfect location for my daughter's graduation. Nice breakfast too. The room is not big and just fit for the luggages. No air-con and if you open the window, many insects will come.

Absolutely stunning hotel , in acres of land to walk around . The staff were superb . Rooms were clean and warm. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty to choose from. Will stay again , hopefully to meet the two ghosts that haunt the place .

1 night for a Uni Open Day- just about acceptable for 1 night! The location is excellent for the uni and town - the hotel not so great - the drains smell from the shower was grim and the heater was mainly on chill setting - definitely one for a short - very short - stay

Lovely staffs, It felt warm when a staff greeted me in the morning with a bright smile, the room was tidy in the morning when I got back. Room very clean, toilet and bath was clean as well. Had no concerns felt very safe. I would definitely recommend to use. Rooms are big and convenient.

Very pleasant stay.. pub restaurant offered info on food allergies. Food was great. Rooms (I rebooked) were great, bath and shower that actually did what they said… no getting soaked trying to turn on shower. As a single female traveller, felt safe. Will rebook next visit . Staff are friendly and helpful.

Overall good, the room looks a bit dated and the AC was not working so had a warm evening. The shower took about 5 mins to work but overall good for the money.

The place was really lovely — just a few minutes from where we were going. The only issue we had was that the room we were initially given wasn’t great; it was dirty. I went to the reception to let them know, and within a few minutes, we were given a clean room. Overall, it was a pleasant experience

I have stayed here a few times and always been impressed by friendly and helpful staff. Safe place to stay. Convenient location near railway station. Will stay again.
