Сам отель новый и ещё находится в процессе пристройки новых комнат, но на новогдних праздниках, когда останавливался, рабочих не было, поэтому не могу оценить масштаб шума от строительства и мешает ли он отдыху. Находится отель в тихом отдалённом месте от суеты транспортного траффика, что ему в плюс и с прекрасным видом на горы. Кроме того у них при отеле свой ресторан, где можно перекусить, это удобно, если влом куда-то тащиться. Байки выдают на прокат только тем, у кого имеются права, но есть велосипеды. Номера довольно просторные

Бесспорно лучший отель в этом городе! Если вы ищете высокий сервис, европейскую еду, то вам понравится это место.

We had a wonderful stay at The Wooden Gate! The property is absolutely beautiful, with a lovely pool and a very peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and everything freshly prepared. The location is also perfect for exploring the area. With the bicycles provided, we could easily and quickly reach Mua Cave and the Trang An boat tours. What impressed us most was the kindness and hospitality of the staff. Our children are very picky eaters, and the team even prepared special meals just for them, which we really appreciated. We felt very welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay. A beautiful place with wonderful service – we would definitely recommend The Wooden Gate!

This is a heartwarming story of a lost and found. This trip itinerary covered three places: Hanoi --＞ Ninh Binh (2.5-hour drive) Ninh Binh --＞ Ha Long (3-hour drive) Ha Long --＞ Hanoi Airport (2-hour drive) For two nights in Ninh Binh, I stayed at a place called ”Mai Luxury Hotel.” Judging by the name, it sounds grand, but in reality, it was more like a family-run, small-scale single-building guesthouse. However, the room was of 4-star hotel quality, so it was acceptable. After checking out, I had been on the way to Ha Long for about two hours when I realized I had left my Insta 360 camera in the hotel lobby. Knowing there was no way to go back and get it, I had to wait until I arrived in Ha Long before calling Mai Luxury Hotel. After confirming with them that I had indeed left it at the hotel, we started looking for a solution. Initially, they followed me on IG (their hotel IG only had 4 followers). We chatted via DM, and then they added me on WhatsApp to discuss. Originally, they wanted to find a driver that very evening to bring it to my hotel in Ha Long Bay. But because it was a holiday, they couldn't find a driver. Later, they found out I would be leaving Vietnam the next day, so they started looking for any drivers heading to the airport the following day. Not long after, they actually found a driver. They even sent me the driver's and vehicle's details. They also said they had already wrapped it up securely. At this point, I was inclined to believe they genuinely intended to return it. However, if the driver turned out to be dishonest, it could still go missing. On the final day, I arrived at the airport around 1 PM and received a message from the driver. After that, I didn't hear from him again. I grew increasingly anxious inside, thinking maybe he was still driving? Or perhaps he had already kept the camera for himself. Around 4 PM, I finally received a call from the driver. He even captured a photo of my anxious expression while waiting for him. As previously arranged with the hotel, I was to pay him 500,000 VND (about 150 HKD). At that moment, the driver actually handed me back 200,000 VND. Before I could react, he had already gotten back in his car and left. When I looked at the returned item, I could hardly believe it! The hotel had used a ”Happy New Year” bag to hold a ”Happy New Year” box. Upon opening the box, the camera was wrapped in cloth. The level of care and thoughtfulness was truly perfect. The feeling of joy from recovering something lost is truly indescribable. Of course, I wouldn't dare say that everyone in Vietnam is good, but at least on this trip, whether it was the hotpot restaurant owner, the tour guide on the boat, or the hotel staff, they all made me feel the warmth and kindness of the local people.

The family that runs this gorgeous little homestay is really wonderful and kind and always helpful and friendly. They provided us with a map for the area with tips and recommendations and also rented us a motorbike. The room was comfortable, clean and the included breakfast was absolutely perfect (I always ordered the banana pancake). The pool area is also really pretty probably the prettiest in the area. From the roof of the building you can see a lot of the surrounding landscape and the kids who go to the local school are all fun and friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay at Salina Hotel. It is a modest but clean and comfortable hotel with all the needed amenities. It is located a bit further from the main attractions so it is very quiet in the evening. The best part of the hotel are the owners though. They were very kind and helpful throughout our stay, going out of their way to make sure we had a great time in Ninh Binh. Would definitely recommend staying at Salina Hotel if you are looking for a more chilled and home-like atmosphere !

New homestay that opened in early 2025. Father and son and his family run and maintained this cute little homestay. They're so nice and hospitable and will provide help and service at all times of the day. They provide meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, pedal bike and motorbike rentals and laundry service by the kilo. It has an amazing backdrop scenery of Trang An behind the homestay, you wouldn't want to wish for more whenever you wake up every morning here. 😀

The place has a beautiful natural scenario, the staff is awesome and the location is very calm, around 6/7 km away from Tam Cốc and Hoa Lu. There are some bikes (although old, very helpful) to borrow for pleasant transport and activities among the rice fields. The breakfast was well served and the food was delicious. The room was very comfortable, new and clean. The pool was spectacular which I think is a very important thing for refreshing and relaxing after the trackings and cyclings. The hotel has a friendly environment with pool table, bear, and hammock under the trees. I thank the owners for all the kindness!

Family of 3 from Australia. We stayed in the double family room on level 10. Spacious, clean, warm, double rooms with hot showers and cold fridges. Staff were fantastic, especially the two lads who help with toast and seating at breakfast. Walking distance to night markets and WinMart. Couldn't fault it. We were the only 'western' tourists, but we were made to feel very safe and welcome. I would recommend and would stay here again on our next visit to Ninh Binh.

A luxury hotel in a quiet area. Everything is new, room was spacious, bed linen was new, towels were fluffy The room cleaning was beyond praise. There was an outdoor swimming pool and a cozy garden with swings and elegant wrought-iron garden furniture. Breakfast, Vietnamese cuisine menu to choose from: delicious soups, tea, coffee. Many thanks to the staff for organizing excursions, calling a taxi and also for solving my small problem. Special thanks to Manager Loan for a wonderful evening in the city, hospitality and warmth
