Hotel berhampiran Ciutat Vella, Barcelona

reading the reviews about the place being disturbed worried me a bit, but we got there from the metro (Poble Sec Ⓜ️) which is a 5minutes walk, they have complimentary detox water and it was refreshing, felt like we needed that after an 1 and half our of flight and another hour to get to the hotel. I can hear people talking from the street and possibly the other room but it didn’t bother me that much. The beds are comfortable, the room is spacious the staff are amazing, helpful and friendly breakfast is satisfying. only thing is that there’s no outlet near the bedside so we had to charge phones somewhere out of reach from your rest. overall it was an excellent stay and me and my boyfriend would surely stay here when we come back.

This experience has been one of the best we’ve had in Barcelona. The hotel room felt spacious and all staff members were exceptionally helpful. We are particularly impressed by Front Desk employee Luis and Gema. They were extremely supportive. They greatly aided us with transport and gave us local tips (such as good restaurants, how to take public transport etc.) Gema even personally helped us to arrange our luggage delivery to another hotel in a timely and efficient way. The luggage was closely monitored the whole process until it arrived in our hand. I would highly recommended this real 5 Star Hotel to everyone.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hostel. Rien à redire, l'accueil était parfaite, la chambre également. Il est très bien situé, proche du centre ville. Je recommande sans problème le Mambo tango. Merci pour le séjour

Notre réservation du nouvel an a été annulée en dernière minute la veille au soir sans qu'aucun mail ne nous soit envoyé, qu'aucun appel ne nous soit passé, personne n'a tenté de nous joindre avant de simplement nous dire de ne pas venir. Nous avons immédiatement appelé l’hôtel pour savoir quel était le problème et il nous a été impossible de joindre quelqu'un qui parle français !! Il a fallu avec un anglais approximatif essayer de se défendre car personne au bout du fil n'était capable de nous expliquer pourquoi nos chambres étaient donnée à quelqu'un d'autre la veille de notre arrivée ! Pour un hôtel de ce standing, ce n'est pas normal que personne ne sache parler Français !!! La seule chose que la personne au téléphone a su nous dire a été que nous n'avions plus qu'à chercher pour le lendemain un autre hôtel !! Mais bien sur, la veille, pour la période la plus fréquentée de l'année, on nous dit dans le plus grand des calmes d'aller voir ailleurs alors que ça fait des mois qu'on a reversé ! Soit disant le motif est qu'il fallait renseigner les numéros de la carte or ceci avait déjà été fait lors de la réservation, puis le paiement était de toute façon a faire à l'arrivée à l’hôtel, donc leur excuse ne tient pas la route.

The man who checked us in, was very friendly and spoke adequate English. The room (room 1) was basic and had two beds that were fine. The shower was good, but they only provided small packages of gel and shampoo instead of a dispenser. I stayed for two nights and the room wasn’t”t serviced after the first night, but I had enough toilet paper and towels for the second night. Coffee and tea freely available and toasties for breakfast could be bought. So, a very basic hostal that would have been fine for two nights. But unfortunately the inside noise was terrible. I had asked for a quiet room, but until deep into the night, I heard doors slamming and people talking and laughing. For younger people who want to party all night, this place is fine. For older people, who want some sleep as well, look elsewhere.

房間非常棒，這次旅行最方便的住宿，有電梯，樓下3條地鐵，很多公交，離所有景點都很方便，非常喜歡這個住宿，周圍也有很多超市和吃的。在介紹裏再明示一下位置就完美了！

The hotel has lovely decor, comfy beds, good shower, very clean and complimentary soft drinks every day. The bar terrace has lovely decor. However I requested a double bed on the booking but we were given 2 single beds next to each other which is a real bug bear for me. The ”bite box” was just a fridge, I bought a cheese and ham sandwich which was absolutely disgusting inedible, the bread was dry like powder and the expiry date on it was 6 months from now. Some kind of weird long life sandwich and a rip off at €7 (which went in the bin). I wish I had had time to go down and get a refund as it was truly awful! Cafe 365 across the road does lovely, cheap fresh baguettes. I also had some hummus and pitta in the upstairs bar restaurant which was not good - sloppy and oily. Not good food options and breakfast so expensive we had to go elsewhere every day which was tiring.

I stayed here as I was originally staying in Cambrils for 3 nights but found out I couldn't get back at night by bus or train and a taxi would cost me €280+. So a cheap hotel was needed, so I kind of knew what I was about to walk into given that I'd already seen previous reviews of this place. But given that the photos looked pretty decent I thought for 1 night it would be okay... 1 night was all I needed. I've seen people have stayed here for days/week haha I don't know how they did it. So my room was on the top floor, I go to the gym often and even that knackered me out as the lifts wasn't working. I get to my room and I'm not lying, my shed is bigger than my room. I literally had no space to do anything. There was a weird smell too but I couldn't work out what it was. Wasn't the worst but it wasn't very nice either. The headboard was sticky!!! Every time I put my head on it, my hair would just get stuck to it. Beds were okay, weren't the most comfortable but it was okay to sleep on, could've done with an extra pillow though, I'd challenge the staff to tell me that's how they sleep at home. The decor is dated but they had people working on that during my stay in other rooms. And boy could you hear them, you can hear anything in that hotel! The banging, drilling, conversations in the hallway, shower being used in the next room. Everything! The walls are dead thin. The bathroom is a bit of a joke, to sit down on the toilet I had to open the door and sit an angle because the sink was in your space. The shower isn't a shower, it just dribbled out cold water. Took forever to let it get hot-ish, same with the basin tap. Had to dry myself in the bedroom as it's impossible to move in the bathroom. I make myself out to be a big guy, I'm tall but I'm slim build and even I struggled. If you're in the overweight bracket (respectfully) then honestly, don't book this place up. You're gonna struggle, even I did. No shower gel or shampoo, it's basically hand soap. Pathetic really. Had to come back to the room a few hours later and shower again, that was fun. Not sure about other rooms but the view from my window was the window from the opposite building, a staircase below and half a roof above. I guess you get what you pay for, luckily I only needed this to sleep in. As soon as I was up and showered I was straight out of there. Even at the end, check out was 12 but my flight was at 9pm, popped my bags in the locker in the lobby and had another day in Barcelona. The staff didn't speak English, very little so don't expect much unless you speak Spanish. Face like thunder too. Would I ever come back? No lol.. but if it wasn't for this place I'd have spent hundreds of pounds just for 1 night. This just got me by which is what I needed. But I see some people choosing to stay there for more than 2 nights.. honestly, I wouldn't bother. I'm not the high maintenance type and even for me this was painful. Great location though, right next to the coast and some good place

Hotel com excelente localização, perto da praça de Espanha onde podem apanhar o aerobus para o aeroporto com facilidade. Quartos de bons tamanhos com camas confortáveis, decoração simples e relaxante. Pequeno almoço top top, com bastante variedade e de qualidade… Se voltarmos a Barcelona, será uma opção!

Great location and near the church. Be prepared to hear the bell rings every quarter hour through the day and night. It maybe annoying for some whom need total silent to sleep at night. However , the room with terrace is awesome and can have drinking session for some private moments.
