Room and bathroom were big and fairly modern however details like towel rails and toilet roll holder in the bathroom (non-existing) and a full-sized mirror in the bedroom (only a a tiny one) had been overlooked and would have been nice. The bathroom toiletries advertised were a half empty hand wash bottle on the basin and a half empty shower gel bottle in the shower. A private kitchen was also advertised as included, not sure what they meant by private as someone was using it (I didn't), perhaps they just meant people couldn't just walk in from the street and use it. On arrival, room and bathroom weren't overly clean and there was no cleaning at all during my stay. The room was on the main road and the traffic noise went on till very late and started again very early in the morning. Really hard to sleep. An altogether disappointing experience

Very pleased to get a room here, as London seemed busy at the time. Parking availability was excellent, and the hotel had a pleasant atmosphere in reception and the dining area. It was bright, modern and appealing. The most memorable part of the stay was contact with the Duty Manager - a real character who is a comic tour-de-force. His quirky personality was reflected in the erratic layout in some areas of the hotel. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with one very pleasant and helpful member of staff, and one other who was sullen and swathed in a large anorak. The room was pleasant enough - the description of ”small double” was certainly accurate. I think the amount advertised for this on the website would be fair, but not the sum I was charged - and I understand this was discounted from the usual price. The wiring, though I have no reason to think it was unsafe, was untidy and hard to locate which switch related to whick appliance. The view from the window was uninspiring. I was told the room had been re-decorated within the past year which alarmed me, if evidence of mould in the bathroom had appeared in so short a time. I experience a ”prickly” feeling in nose and throat at the end of the stay and a few days afterwards - perhaps coincidence admittedly.

I have been to this holiday inn few times its good and close to motorway and also have free parking. staff is very nice and helpful found cleaning of room needs slightly more attention especially bathroom however its all very good. Breakfast is simple n alright to make a good start to day. Juice is not good at all however the coffee is nice and also have good tea selection. Hotel is clean and not smell

I used to use this hostel back when it was under YHA management. I’ve always picked it for its close proximity to Euston and King’s Cross. This is the first time I’ve been back since it changed hands. Glad to report that the hostel is still as it was. Polite and helpful staff, modern rooms with beds that have individual lights and charging sockets, lockers for valuables, clean and well kept bathrooms, a bar area downstairs to eat and have drinks if you desire. I stayed in a 6-bed female only dorm and was happy with my stay. Bed was comfortable, my items were safe (locks can be purchased behind the reception for £4), and the sockets can charge multiple devices with the dual USB sockets + a regular 3-pronged socket. Will advise that you turn the main room light off when you want go to sleep as my co-inhibitors left the main light on all night on my last night for some reason. The one area they could improve on was having another pillow on the beds. Mine was so used that it was mostly flat and made very little difference to my comfort.

Such a Great Location & the Staff is Amazing! It’s located right next to Kings Cross & Coal Drop Yards which is convenient. Check in is simple & they even let you leave your luggage for free if you get their early & after your check out. The staff is so kind, to the front desk, Maintenance, Cleaning Crew & Management. I love how the beds you can change the color of the Lighting. There are plugs for your phone & a locker to store your stuff. Also a bar to hang socks or a Towel. They have a huge lounge area where you can chill or work & a kitchen. Pretty big kitchen, great way to save $ while traveling! Bathrooms are always clean & always hot water. They have events throughout the week which is great for connecting with new people. You can tell the staff is like family here & genuine souls! Definitely suggest checking out this Hostel when traveling to London! My next trip into London, I’ll definitely be staying here. 💚

Absolute dump. For starters we paid over £250 for a hotel that had dirty carpets, dirty bathroom floor. Shower head kept falling off and there wasn’t enough towels for all of us so 2 of us didn’t have a shower. There’s a smart tv in the room. With zero smart tv channels. Like none. So nothing for my daughter to watch. Tried to access the channels and every menu was disabled. Breakfast was a total disappointment- they advertised pancakes and there was a pancake stand there - empty. Ideal. The staff were polite but not friendly. Literally acted like they would rather be somewhere else, I mean I get it, nobody wants to be working Sunday night but at least pretend. £15 parking is disgusting. Especially for disabled.. The kettle was vile, covered in limescale which then made my cup of tea have floaty bits in. Delicious! Tried to get a coffee in the morning and the coffee machine was out of order for cleaning. Could that not have been done on the evening? It’s breakfast, I wanted a coffee. No such luck. Completely over priced hotel which by holiday inn standards was appalling. Wish I’d slept in my car. Would have been cheaper and cleaner.

I was stopping in London for a conference and it was nice to be able to find somewhere that was reasonably priced and had the option of parking- all a stone throw from the M1. Communication with the host was great and my room was full of amenities that you wouldn’t expect from a room for this price. The fridge was a real bonus and water/ coffee was provided in good amounts. There were free toiletries and plenty of towels etc. the bed was comfy and the option of A/C was also a nice surprise- although not needed as it was fairly cool weather. The house is close to the tube (5 min walk) and local shops and restaurants are hand. I would definitely stop again.

PPengguna TetamuAfter a train strike scuppered our travel plans to London we decided upon a hotel not far from Brent Cross underground station, which was an easy drive from the bottom of the M1. The hotel was a converted house and included free parking on the front of the hotel although there was only space for two cars. For an extremely reasonable price (for London) of £205 for two nights (cheaper to book direct than through a third party) we had a basic but very clean and well appointed room. It boasted a comfortable bed and excellent shower and TV. Would stay again as only a 5 minute walk from the tube which was then only 20-25 minutes journey to Leicester Square/ Covent Garden/Westminster.

PPengguna TetamuI am actually laid on the bed before checking out and couldn't be happier with our stay at The Pillar. I am a wheelchair user, and it is stressful trying to find truly accessible hotel rooms, but this one is including emergency pull cords by bed and shower, bars by toilet and a raised toilet, the seat in shower is bolted to the wall. Some people have said the Wi-Fi is bad, well we laid in bed and streamed shows from BBC iPlayer and 4 on Demand with no buffering! What really made this special was that a Chuppah was set up right outside our room and the central area soon filled with guests, and we got to watch this special moment which ended of course with a lot of singing! Breakfast was perfect, and the staff are very attentive, and over all I cannot fault our stay at this wonderful hotel.

PPengguna TetamuWhen we entered the room it was completly damp. The walls and ceilings are covered in mold and its a health hazzard to stay in. Water doesnt run on the 3th floor. And when we checked in they didnt have room for us eventho we booked in advance. The lady at the desk was nice tho!
