Very pleased to get a room here, as London seemed busy at the time. Parking availability was excellent, and the hotel had a pleasant atmosphere in reception and the dining area. It was bright, modern and appealing. The most memorable part of the stay was contact with the Duty Manager - a real character who is a comic tour-de-force. His quirky personality was reflected in the erratic layout in some areas of the hotel. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with one very pleasant and helpful member of staff, and one other who was sullen and swathed in a large anorak. The room was pleasant enough - the description of ”small double” was certainly accurate. I think the amount advertised for this on the website would be fair, but not the sum I was charged - and I understand this was discounted from the usual price. The wiring, though I have no reason to think it was unsafe, was untidy and hard to locate which switch related to whick appliance. The view from the window was uninspiring. I was told the room had been re-decorated within the past year which alarmed me, if evidence of mould in the bathroom had appeared in so short a time. I experience a ”prickly” feeling in nose and throat at the end of the stay and a few days afterwards - perhaps coincidence admittedly.

Pretty simple room yet clean and functional with ensuite facilities. Room had a fridge which was not advertised online and was a good plus. Good transport links to central London. Staff are very friendly and happy to help. Price was relatively cheap for London and good value for money. Recommended

Absolute dump. For starters we paid over £250 for a hotel that had dirty carpets, dirty bathroom floor. Shower head kept falling off and there wasn’t enough towels for all of us so 2 of us didn’t have a shower. There’s a smart tv in the room. With zero smart tv channels. Like none. So nothing for my daughter to watch. Tried to access the channels and every menu was disabled. Breakfast was a total disappointment- they advertised pancakes and there was a pancake stand there - empty. Ideal. The staff were polite but not friendly. Literally acted like they would rather be somewhere else, I mean I get it, nobody wants to be working Sunday night but at least pretend. £15 parking is disgusting. Especially for disabled.. The kettle was vile, covered in limescale which then made my cup of tea have floaty bits in. Delicious! Tried to get a coffee in the morning and the coffee machine was out of order for cleaning. Could that not have been done on the evening? It’s breakfast, I wanted a coffee. No such luck. Completely over priced hotel which by holiday inn standards was appalling. Wish I’d slept in my car. Would have been cheaper and cleaner.

The staff was very nice and the whole place was full of young people. It definitely is a youth hostel and the place isn’t as big as other ones so it’s not super loud. Although the stairs are a little loud so that might wake you up. We stayed in a private room with bunk beds and they gave you towels and the shower was pretty good. The room was small as to be expected but it definitely wasn’t worth $180 a night when you could just pay for a bigger hotel room. The location was nice right by Hyde park and some free museums.

I have been to this holiday inn few times its good and close to motorway and also have free parking. staff is very nice and helpful found cleaning of room needs slightly more attention especially bathroom however its all very good. Breakfast is simple n alright to make a good start to day. Juice is not good at all however the coffee is nice and also have good tea selection. Hotel is clean and not smell

I was stopping in London for a conference and it was nice to be able to find somewhere that was reasonably priced and had the option of parking- all a stone throw from the M1. Communication with the host was great and my room was full of amenities that you wouldn’t expect from a room for this price. The fridge was a real bonus and water/ coffee was provided in good amounts. There were free toiletries and plenty of towels etc. the bed was comfy and the option of A/C was also a nice surprise- although not needed as it was fairly cool weather. The house is close to the tube (5 min walk) and local shops and restaurants are hand. I would definitely stop again.

When we arrived about 4pm we were told the room wasn’t yet ready as they’d been sent the wrong sheets for the beds(check in time is 3pm) so we dumped our luggage and went back down for a drink. We noted there was no soap or shower gel etc in the bathroom either and this was taken to the room. While having our drinks we were told it would be about 20 mins before they brought the right sheets but they had the wrong size did we want those on instead? We said no thanks we would wait the 20 mins for the right size. A few hours later we were in the room to bath and they sent someone up… with the wrong sheets. She went back down… and then came up with the wrong sized duvet covers. By this point my disabled daughter was getting upset and I’d about had enough. This had been going on for several hours now and no resolution. My daughter had been to equine therapy and if we didn’t have that again tomorrow I’d leave. I suddenly felt very upset at being treated this way. This is not what we have paid for. Really upset at the lack of caring and lack of service. I paid a lot for this room and with two of the three beds without the right sheets how can we be expected to stay like this? Have spoken to staff several times but apart from them promising sheets that don’t arrive no real resolution. Actually rather upset. I wouldn’t stay here again- no care for the guests.

PPengguna TetamuAfter a train strike scuppered our travel plans to London we decided upon a hotel not far from Brent Cross underground station, which was an easy drive from the bottom of the M1. The hotel was a converted house and included free parking on the front of the hotel although there was only space for two cars. For an extremely reasonable price (for London) of £205 for two nights (cheaper to book direct than through a third party) we had a basic but very clean and well appointed room. It boasted a comfortable bed and excellent shower and TV. Would stay again as only a 5 minute walk from the tube which was then only 20-25 minutes journey to Leicester Square/ Covent Garden/Westminster.

PPengguna TetamuI am actually laid on the bed before checking out and couldn't be happier with our stay at The Pillar. I am a wheelchair user, and it is stressful trying to find truly accessible hotel rooms, but this one is including emergency pull cords by bed and shower, bars by toilet and a raised toilet, the seat in shower is bolted to the wall. Some people have said the Wi-Fi is bad, well we laid in bed and streamed shows from BBC iPlayer and 4 on Demand with no buffering! What really made this special was that a Chuppah was set up right outside our room and the central area soon filled with guests, and we got to watch this special moment which ended of course with a lot of singing! Breakfast was perfect, and the staff are very attentive, and over all I cannot fault our stay at this wonderful hotel.

PPengguna TetamuWhile this isn’t luxury or five star class it is exactly what you need if your on a budget Room is very clean and not even too small. Has a kettle. Television and a small fridge. Space for hanging clothes dans a bathroom with a really good shower If you are just looking for a stopover this is totally perfect and I’d fully recommend Great value for money and located right next to the underground which is on the Northern Line

PPengguna TetamuWhen we entered the room it was completly damp. The walls and ceilings are covered in mold and its a health hazzard to stay in. Water doesnt run on the 3th floor. And when we checked in they didnt have room for us eventho we booked in advance. The lady at the desk was nice tho!
