The room was lovely and comfortable, and the shower was a highlight! However, the aircon was quite loud. The pool is great for families with children. The welcome was warm and inviting and the breakfast was a treat. The gustoso restaurant was quite a let down as the food was quite expensive and didn’t reflect the quality (especially the chicken panini sandwich). The menu also has a lot of “can be made vegan” which is unfortunately just not true. The restaurants beach front location was stunning, so maybe worth getting a drink. One of the biggest let downs was the customer service. While I never expect over the top service, I did make a request for a double bed and something special for my wife as this was a mini honeymoon for us which was completely disregarded. Overall, I personally don’t believe that the hotel is worth the amount of money per night.

The service was excellent! As soon as we got out of the car, they took our luggage. We were offered a welcome drink before check-in, and since it wasn't time yet, they invited us to sit and relax. The hotel has its own swimming pool, and the breakfast selection was extensive!

Facilities: The hotel breakfast is quite generous. The pool is a bit small. Room amenities are comprehensive, but I recommend bringing your own filtered shower head; after two days, the filter cotton turned quite yellow. Hygiene: Housekeeping was a bit slow; we'd go out and come back to find our room hadn't been cleaned yet. Environment: The hotel has direct access to the beach, and the sunsets are absolutely stunning. Service: The service was excellent. Simple English was enough for communication. They arranged a sea-view room with a great view via email beforehand and even gave us an anniversary cake. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance.

I had a wonderful stay at PARKROYAL Penang Resort. The service was truly tip-top from start to finish — the staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. A special thank you to the team for the thoughtful birthday arrangement for my husband. It was such a lovely surprise and made our celebration even more memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we will definitely be back again! 😊

10/10 for my stay at ParkRoyal Penang Resort. This stay was a birthday gift for my 73-year-old husband. Thanks to ParkRoyal for the complimentary birthday cake which pleasantly surprised and delighted him. Overall service here was first class. It was from the warm and cheerful bell-hop Yusani to the helpful and thoughtful Asvathy at Check-in Reception, Transportation and Sight-seeing thoughtful and caring Angeline, Diligent Housekeeping Ali to thev cheerful Chanond who sent the birthday cake to our room…and also staff at Cinnamon and Javana Lounge. They all are pleasant and polite. They served with a smile and made us feel welcome all the time. Truly appreciated the warmth and hospitality of this hotel. The breakfast at Cinnamon was impressive, sumptuous and came with a wide variety of choices. We enjoyed our 2 breakfast thoroughly.So, we were happy and glad to have booked our room with breakfast.. There is also a Welcome drink with cookies at Javana Lounge. It was, indeed. a great start to our stay. It should be offered to all guests checking-in. For guests who would like sipping cocktaile by the beach or at Javana Lounge, there is a 20% discount for room-booking with Trip.com. We, indeed, had a pleasant, memorable and enjoyable stay at ParkRoyal. Would be back someday for more birthday stay here in future.

The hotel is old and showing signs of needing renovation. The food quality was mixed, breakfast was really good but the international buffet was very disappointing. Lots of insects on dining tables shows it needs some TLC

Fantastic! Exceeded my expectations. The swimming pool is great for families (two adults, one child), and the water is quite clean. Plus, there's a slide! Inside the hotel, there's a huge swing set that's perfect for photos. Breakfast offers a wide variety, including both Southeast Asian and Western options. The fruits are incredibly fresh, and the jackfruit was especially delicious. All the hotel staff are very nice and have excellent attitudes. They also provide complimentary bicycles for guests, including both single and tandem bikes. Our room had a partial sea view, and all the amenities were very clean. The outlets are international, so I didn't need a travel adapter at all. I highly recommend watching a fire show. You can find many options just a 10-minute walk down the beach. When walking along the beach, you can really notice that the sand at the hotel's section is much finer than elsewhere.

Hotel was clean and on beach front Close to food outlets and what’s needed Breakfast food but it gets too busy The pool way to Warm and not enough deck chairs where everyone put towels down early which is not ideal Food and beverages at crazy expensive prices so stock up elsewhere All in all good

My family has been visiting Park Royal Penang for staycation for more than 10 years. Spacious and clean room, friendly staff, a place where good memories are shared. We stayed in the Lanai Suite which comes with two separate bathrooms which is convenient for a family. The living area was also spacious enough to accommodate the three of us to have a good room service dinning without having to head out of the hotel after a hot day by the beach. Another precious memory made here, thanks to the Park Royal team.

The hotel might have been a grand one 20 years ago, but currently the room and facilities are dated and worn down. Public beach is accessible, but not advised to swim in the sea due to presence of jellyfishes. The carpets outside the rooms smelled musky. Swimming pool is always crowded and too small for the occupancy rates. Went for the complimentary exercise classes, but they were way too simplistic and a waste of time to attend. Gym also smelled bad from the sweat and equipment. Everything in the breakfast either was way too sweet or high in salt content, but it’s hard to get breakfast in the morning nearby so it’s either you eat here or end up hungry. True to its advisement, this hotel is catered to families with young children, so expect lots of rowdiness, noise and tantrums from the occupants.

This resort delivers on its promise which is a family resort with lovely swimming pools on the edge of Golden sandy beaches. The selection of restaurants provides a wide range of cuisines. The rooms are spotlessly, clean and out of a good size is plenty to do and see both within the resort and in its neighing environment day trips to Georgetown and the butterfly Park provide fun activities for the whole family.

The room was nice, and there are two pools, directly connected to the beach. We even saw monkeys! There's a fire show on the adjacent beach that starts at 7:30 PM. Overall, it was a pretty good stay.

The hotel is absolutely amazing. Location on a beautiful white beach which you can walk on to. The service is 5* with staff that cannot do enough for you. Loved our stay and highly recommend
