Don’t live on the 2/F. There is no privacy as the room facing garden. Need to close curtain at all time! During my stay for three nights, it was very unpleasant. 1) outside on construction for a concert corner. So there is rehearsal on 8pm. Very noisy 2) the airport is 3km away and 10 minutes drive distance. But the hotel charged me $30 USD for airport pickup. Absolutely extortion!!! It’s worse as when my friend who is a local Nepalese, the hotel asked for $27 only. If you’re a foreigner, hotel will charge you more. Absolutely nonsense!!! Outside Nepal people are nice and kind. But this hotel is an exception. They are not genuine. I will not recommend anyone to stay in here!!

I have been going to this hotel for close to 20 years now. Food and beverage and services have always been great but facilities seriously needs a facelift.

The facilities are a bit old and the maintenance is a bit rough. The breakfast variety is quite rich and the taste is average. The hotel environment is very good, there are many small animals. Overall, the stay experience was very poor. The room I stayed in on the first day was on the first floor. The sewer pipes in the bathroom were blocked, and the sewer pipes in the shower room were also blocked. We asked someone to unclog it, but there wasn't much improvement, so we made do with it that night, and asked the hotel to change us to a room on the second floor the next day. As a result, I visited two temples on the second day and returned to the hotel at noon. A very unique hotel. The breakfast is mostly in local style. The environment is the best in Kathmandu. It is in a green garden and next to the Grand Pagoda.
