My granddaughter had a fifth birthday party so I booked a stay for the night to save the sixty miles journey back to Essex . Maths came into this and holiday inn came top of the pile with breakfast thrown in so a no brainer . But as you can see by my ratings for cleanliness etc this hotel is way better than you would expect . The room we had was very nicely decorated and spotless. The bathroom was the same but there are tiny little details that might go unnoticed, like the bath towels are size xl and the shower is quality , the bed mattress is top quality . I could go on , but for my money I feel I got every penny . Breakfast was buffet style , so cereal , full English ,tea coffee juice , fruit , eat as much as you like . Microwave in reception , where else do you see that ? Reception toilets spotless. This is an eye opener for me as travelodge used to be my go to . But no more

Stayed here with my daughter when we were booked to go to MK Bowl. Lady on reception was very welcoming and we got checked in without a problem. Room was good, bathroom clean and the air con was on so we stepped into a lovely cool room from sitting in the car. Breakfast was as expected. All in all, great value for money.

I would give it 5 stars if the pillows were softer. Mine were hard and lumpy, making it difficult to sleep. Still, that said I'd stay again, it is great value for money and an ideal location for an onward journey.

Friendly staff and very helful. Good breakfast, pitty the air-con caused the carpet in the room to be wet and have a damp smell.

Very clean, could use led money saving lights for more eco friendly, Toilet was constantly running which will also be costly to the hotel. Bed very comfortable, breakfast was buffet, well stocked, downside was that sausages were deep fried and eggs and beans were not very warm.. No earl grey tea.

Enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. i especially liked the choice of pillow. it was also very quiet.

This is the second stay here and unfortunately we had the same experience in the morning. Going down to breakfast not too late, there just seems to be a lack of staff, running out of everything, not enough cutlery, no preserves or spreads, croissants ran out, no mugs, cappuccino machine ran out... no fried eggs which makes a full English Breakfast in our opinion.... pity as the rooms are fine.

It is acceptable for the price, the rooms are not so dayed but still you can smell the overuse, it feels as a very busy hotel.

Hard to find on sat navigation and no veggie option on breakfast, run out scrambled eggs and asked waiter few times no one brought anything back coffee machine break down and no one fixed it. We had just bread and glass of orange juice

Have stayed here three times in the last 9 months. Maybe this time we were just unlucky with our room but the base of the beds were filthy and stained. Have no idea what it was and do t really want to think about what it was but it made you not want to get into bed. The carpet was dirty and the breakfast area was also stained badly where the cushioning goes up the walls.
