The hotel is situated at a great location in the old town of Beihai, just a 1 minute walk to the main tourist street of the old town. The front side rooms have a view towards a tidal harbor with small fishing boats. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful.
The room was very spacious and reasonably clean. However, it was very dampy/ moist in the room. The windows could be opened, but that would allow the mosquitoes and noise from the street (with cars & trucks passing by) to come in. The room did not have many lights and was a bit dark (especially after sunset).
There was no breakfast offered.

I arrived very late at night but the reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a pool and is very close to the Old Town. The main beach is accessible by taxi or scooter very cheaply. There is a large Chinese breakfast buffet and very good wifi.
My room did smell a bit when I first arrived, and the cheaper rooms are quite basic but for the location and price it is good. Housekeeping did a good job of sorting my room out too.

酒店服務人員非常熱情，也很喜歡酒店這種風格，走進大堂滿櫃子的書，安靜的看看書享受一下下午茶的時刻真是非常愜意。26樓還有免費健身房和洗衣房，茶室，房間配的是全自動馬桶，出差這段時間住的同檔次的酒店宜尚和希爾頓歡朋都沒有配地稱，對於常年堅持身材管理的人有一點不適，這個酒店有配，着實讓人有點小驚喜，看得出來老闆的用心。躺在窗邊的沙發上看天上的雲捲雲舒也是別有一番風味，無邊泳池因身體原因沒有去，期待下次再來體會，總的來説，這是一間值得細品的酒店～

酒店房間很不錯，商家主動給升級了房間還主動幫忙拿行李，孩子開心的不想走本來三天的行程硬是玩了五天，交通便利，下樓路邊就是好多的共享電動車，去海邊走路幾分鐘就到，離老街也近，吃飯也方便，離酒店不遠得地方就有海鮮市場，以後再來北海就住在這裏，強烈推薦

My friend and I had a great stay at the
Marina bay Seaview Homestay. The location was great, the rooms were clean and spacious and the owner very friendly and accommodating. He can’t speak English but we communicated with each other via WeChat.. I particularly love the view from my room on the 9th floor. I will recommend this to all my friends visiting Beihai. My three days here were wonderful and relaxing. Thank you for making our stay pleasant.

The hotel is neatly nested within a friendly neighborhood situated within walking distance from shops, restaurants, the main ***** that leads to the sea-view promenade, and two beach entrances. The interior is very stylish, modern, and well-maintained (unlike other international hotels in the area). The swimming pool has a waterfall which is heated and even a see-through canoe (fun!). Everything is clean and staff is extremely helpful. Rooms are spacious, technologically equipped, and absolutely beautiful. Guests have access to the terrace, where, apart from the beautiful view, a washing-drier combo machine is available for guests to use free of charge. Breakfast did not have much variety (only two meals which are switched every day), however it is delicious and when we provided the suggestion for more variety on the second last day of our 9-day stay, the manager ordered some local delicacies for our following breakfast to be delivered especially for us.
Walking around the neighborhood, we shivered at the thought that we could have ended up staying in any of the other hotels in the area, which do not even remotely compare to this one. My partner was absolutely delighted and proud of my taste in the matter.

PPengguna TetamuGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave.
Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play.
The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way.
The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned.
The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture)
If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe.
I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China.
However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too.
These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host!
I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

IIsland Girl AngeleneOh my goodness!!!!!! We had an amazing time here! We went to celebrate out 9th wedding anniversary and I'm glad we chose this place. Upon arrival to the island, our host sent a driver to collect us at the port, and take us to our destination (free of charge). When we got to the villa, I was pleased with the warm greeting we received and the overall surroundings. The place was clean, tranquil and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised when we were gifted a cake and drinks from our host. However, I was totally blown away wjen I saw our room! The view was everything! When we stepped out onto our private balcony, we had the best view of the beach and surrounding areas. Additionally, I must say that it was a priceless experience to witness the sunrise and high tide from that angle.
The chef was unable to be there because of personal reasons, but our host made sure that we were well taken care of, regarding other dining options on the island and he even recommended a driver to take us to good food joints. The driver turned out to be our chaperone for the entirety of our stay.😂 Breakfast was great and we enjoyed the company of the resident dog (which looks fierce, but is actually very friendly).❤️
Thanks to the caring nature of our hosts, our trip to the island was excellent and my only regret it that we didn't book to stay longer! 😭 Now that I have had this experience, I look forward to coming back to Weizhou Island, and staying at this villa. It was well worth the price!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

PPengguna TetamuI was very curious how a property with such an affordable price has a such a high rating. I was immediately convinced by myself.
The property is perfectly located in the Southern part of the Island near Crocodile Mountain and its beautiful beach as well as South Bay with countless options of tasty seafood. The room is big, bright, clean and smells great. There is everything a traveller needs. The highlight is clearly the boss, she is very warm, welcoming and very kind. There was a book in my room which I took out of curiosity to read on the beach, and I realized it contained great messages. I asked the boss if she is willing to sell it to me but she gave it for free. She told me that she deliberately puts books with great messages for young people in the room since many students stay in her property. Wow...I wish more people in this world would be like the boss. Don't hesitate and book a room here. If I ever happen to be again on this island, I know where to stay!!

There is a small beach downstairs from the hotel and the old street is around 15 minutes walk away. However, there aren't that many restaurants close to the hotel. Breakfast was great as we're the gym and swimming pool.
Big thankyou to Lincoln who really went out of his way to help on my stay and even assisted in booking tickets.

IIsland Girl AngeleneI extended my stay here because my flight back home was canceled. The entire process was hassle-free and in addition to that, I was gifted a christmas card from the hotel staff.
House keeping came every three days because most workers we sick due to covid and the botel was short staffed. However, supplies like water, soap, etc were alaways available in a self service area for guests on the resident floors and if one needed extra assistance, someone was always availato offer assistance.
My overall stay was wonderful and I hope to return soon!

JJeffYiureally loved the stay at this hotel, my wife and I spent some time at a different part (Di Shui Village) of the island when we first arrived and thats how we decided on the Banyue hotel which is located on the north side of the island. The room was really spacious and the interior details were really nice and well thought out, the sky light window is really beautiful when there are clear skies with sunlight beaming through onto the bed. The hospitality staff were all very kind and helpful, we had breakfast and lunch at the hotel and the food is delicious and well priced. The scooter rental at the hotel was also really convenient, we didn't need to place a deposit since we were staying at the hotel, the bike was in good condition and had good amount of power which made riding around the island really enjoyable. We really enjoyed visiting the local beach as well, which was literally across the road from the hotel, it was a short walk through the pathway which leads you straight to the beach. There is also a really nice Vietnamese south east Asian restaurant near the hotel (apart 2km away) called Summer 越式小馆, the beef burger and the seafood platter is delicious. Also the hotel offers pick up and delivery to the ferry terminal which is super convenient.

TTraveler from GermanyHad a really mixed stay at this Hotel. Only booked one night, with the option of extending, but decided against.
My wife and I came on separated flight, with mine delayed over 5 hours. I arrived at 02:00 past midnight to check-in. First they the reception told me I’m in the wrong hotel. I had to proof my booking with them and the fact that my wife is already in the room. After some discussion they refused to check me in, but told me to call my wife to let me into the room. First, not checking in and registering a foreigner is against the law. Second, why should I wake up my sleeping wife at this late hours? After insisting on being checked in the process went fast and smoothly, which makes me wonder, why the discussions first?
Room was spacious and clean. Nice view over the ocean.
At the breakfast buffet we were greeted by hordes of waiters watching over a half empty buffet, at 09:30. Nearly no western food options and no cold cuts. After asking I was treated to a plate of two pieces of Camembert, hard cheese and some kind of milk cheese. Not the standard for a Sheraton breakfast.
That’s also my final verdict. For this price and being a Sheraton Resort, it’s not up to the standards one would expect from a place with this name.

PPengguna Tetamu公寓房間正對大海，標準的海景房。在陽台上聞着海風，聽着海浪，品茗小憩，休閑自在，感覺好好！屋子乾淨利落，礦泉水紙巾都有備，可以邊看海邊泡澡，臟衣服扔洗衣機。公寓對面租車打車，吃飯都比較方便，門口還有一堆小商販賣小吃和水果。來這裏必須吃吃本地的沙糖桔和椰子，雖然和家裡的價格差不多，甚至還貴😂。途逸客服小哥好熱情，幫推薦旅遊景點，全程溝通順暢，感謝！

SSanchezIsle Beach Home was a pleasant surprise. The view and closeness to the ocean is the best part of the stay. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds are of western hotel standards. The staff is attentive and friendly. They provide information about the island and also scooters for easy transportation. There is a restaurant on site with delicious food. It's also close to local seafood markets on the island. Another great part about the hotel is the infinity pool and deck. But there are a few things that detract from the overall greatness of the experience. The pool deck, although beautifully overlooking the ocean, is not set up for relaxing. The deck chairs are old and without cushions and there are no pool umbrellas to protect from the summer sun. And secondly, (this is not their fault or responsibility) the surrounding environment is the opposite of what the hotel promotes. The buildings and structures surrounding the hotel are unsafe and hazardous looking. But even with that, I would definitely stay her again.
