Is a very very old n traditional property … so stay to experience n dun expect too much … staffs r really really friendly n helpfully … overall very nice experience 🤣🤣🤣

Clean environment with friendly staff. traditional Chinese architecture but renovated with modern amenities. Really extensive breakfast spread. Good for taking photos and experiencing the local hutongs. The alleyways are narrow so recommend walking from the main road (takes 10-12min) instead of taking a cab in. Cute coffee shop at the end of the alley before the main road which is a plus!

Beautiful interior, staying here is a real experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming.
My one complaint relates to the animals kept there, such as several large turtles in the bottom of a large pot. Culture is culture but these creatures are suffering just to be decor.

The entire experience was excellent. Very helpful staff who went out of their way to arrange anything that we needed (including a spa day, restaurant recommendations, taxis, and transportation up to the Great Wall. The Courtyard Hotel's style was a fantastic blend between classical architecture and modern convenience. The hotel is located in a well-lit and historic alleyway right downtown, and we had a choice between taxis, metro trains, and walking anywhere we wanted. We felt safe and comfortable for our entire stay, especially as a family with limited Mandarin. Would definitely stay here again.

We were intrigued by the siheyuan and it was really quite a good experience. Despite being ancient, it was warm, the staff were friendly and always ready to help. Got to remember not to flush toilet paper as the sewage can't support that. The whole setting allowed travellers to mind their own business and also to mingle. We were very happy to have met and made friends with some locals and even friends from Tibet. The kids love the place and I would recommend this for families who like to experience local culture.

Very unique cultural hotel at a very centralised location. The bathroom and room is surprisingly cleaner than expected. The service of the staff here are friendly and very helpful.
