Ulasan Rong Hotel

First time staying in a traditional courtyard house (Siheyuan), and it was great! I'd love to come back if I get the chance. I really like Beijing.

Heritage feel of stay. Walking distance to restaurants and street food. Near by 步行街。

Great location in a real hutong. Short walk to the Bell and Drum towers. The room was well heated and the bedding excellent. Futon not as thick as bed mattress but comfortable. Service was kind and when no one was at the front desk very responsive by WeChat. Nice touches like instant coffee in the entrance and free use of the washing machine. Should know : Airport taxi at first didn’t want to drive down the hutong but relented. Subway and walking more convenient. Great stay!

Great location, super comfortable and quiet, excellent value for money

Great location, close to many street food. The traditional vibes of the accomodation are quite unique. Overall, the price money ratio was ok, quite clean. There is some noise because of poor isolation but it is manageable.

Very helpful staff, kindly gave recommendations and accepted a late check out . Comfortable bed. Good water pressure and hot water. Soft towels. Couldn’t get wifi to work but didn’t ask for help. A bit cold in the room.

The hotel is in a really good spot, walking distance to nice streets full of shops and food places BUT, one thing is the picture of the room you think you are booking and then is what you have. The room is super small, with a "bed" that is not a bed, super hard, making it really difficult to sleep. The bathroom is exactly like in the picture, but what is not advertised is that hot water is only available for 1-2 people, so you can't have a proper shower either. ( obviously, my pictures are after using the room. When I entered, the bed was done) . This is for the queen courtyard room. This is the worst room I've been in all my trips to China.

if you like to experience in the old town Hutong of Beijing, it is a right choice to stay here. it is walking distance to the food street of Hutong, the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower. The hotel host and all staffs are very friendly and ready to give you all advices for restaurants, transportation or sight seeing spots, even help to carefully pre check if it is open or not.

A lovely place to stay. Beautiful rooms and looks like the photos provided. The front desk also provided excellent service. Hotel is located close to Drum Tower and there is a lot of shops and places to eat close by. The area is very safe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.

On the north to south line that the main attractions of BJ are aligned on, The Rong Hotel is tucked in a great hutong at the north end right near the bell and drum towers. The walk to Tiananmen and forbidden city is about 40 mins, but plenty to see on the way, and a lot of the distance is on pedestrian streets. No English in the lobby, but didn’t matter. Rooms were smaller (at least mine on the ground floor) but comfortable and clean with new furniture and good AC. The courtyard was a glowing red and just the right amount of tacky. Great place to start with coffee or end with beer. Would stay again. Oh, and big bonus of Mr. Shi’s dumplings being just a few mins away on foot.

I was very happy with my stay here. It was my first time in Beijing and I stayed here for a week. Room is small but adequate. Very quite at night yet not too far from the attractions and amenities. Lot of places are walkable from here, and the subway stations nearby will get you to a lot of the attractions with either one or no transfers. Staff were very friendly and explained many things to me using translation software. Food wise, you will have to either walk and eat at a restaurant, or do what most Chinese people do and order to be delivered to the hotel using ******* or other apps. I didn't do this as I wasn't sure how it works, but I did use this at a later date. Two 7/11s are within 20 minutes walk (max). Bottles of water are provided and you can use the communal fridge to store any groceries or food. Highly recommend this hotel.

The owner does not speak English, but he is super friendly and kind. We had to communicate through WeChat translator that is fine but slow and a bit complex. He helped us solving a big trouble (we left one phone in a taxi). Our room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 children. Bed was super comfortable! The location in good, in the middle of a Hutong, close to very nice Chinese restaurants. Not super close to the metro station, but at a walkable distance. Recommended!

Very good option when visiting Beijing!! Very good price quality.
