Great staff and nice room for the price, but it was very hot in our room and we didn’t get much sleep because of some guy next door using an angle grinder all morning. No AC so we couldn’t close the window so that was annoying.

Great location. Room was clean and spacious enough Many historical buildings, pubs etc. Parking was really close and you get a discount. No ice available until the bar opens, which ******. Loved Belfast. I would stay again and get ice the night before.

I booked through *********** for one night as I was attending a football match. I picked this location as I was near the stadium and I had tried other parts of the City previously. I should have stuck with my previous hotel. The room was extremely hot even though it wasn’t in full sun. I was put in room 10 which is at the top of the building in what looks like a converted loft in the roof space. It was 2.30pm when I checked in. I had not been sent the previously notified email with the door entry code and room entry code. It is all done this way as it is supposed to be a self service booking in process. That failed. On arrival at the door having received no entry instruction I called the number on a sign outside. I got no reply. A man then arrived with his child asking was I booking in and he took me through the process. He directed me to room 10 which is on the fourth floor. No lift. At 3.30pm I reported my concerns about the stifling heat in the room to the staff though their whattsapp number. No response for a while and then they said they would send up housekeeping which was the same man who booked me in. I explained the heat was unbearable and concerned for how it would be at night. I also said that when I opened the window the traffic noise was unbearable. He said they were full and there was nothing he could do. Only suggested putting on a plug in fan. I reported back through whattsapp to say that I wasn’t happy and what else could be done. I had a broken telephone call via whattsapp with Niamh who was a bit sarcastic and unhelpful and didn’t offer any solution and basically said they are a city enter hotel so what did I expect. It was rush hour and traffic would die down (which it didn’t). I asked to escalate the complaint. I had a call from Christine Warren who was also unsympathetic, said it was unprecedented weather for Belfast but failed to recognise my concern and that it was cooler outside than in the room. She said all of their other rooms (75) in the city were booked but I could check out if I wanted and find another hotel. Difficult in the timeframe as it was now 5pm and I was off to the match. She also commented “what do you expect for the money you paid” (£85). I asked if she would offer a reduction but this was refused. I felt I had no alternative. When I returned to the room at 10.15pm having left the window open and the fan on, it was no different. I didn’t sleep all night. Aesthetically this location looks good but the lower rated scores here do tell a story of less than luxury and consistent poor staff and management attitude when you raise a concern. The rooms are tiny and definitely not luxury. Towels were thin, dust in the bedside locker and walls paper thin which was also reported. Breakfast was adequate but only cereals, coffee toast and some basic looking cheese and ham with a few stale croissants. A chain I will be avoiding in the future.

Hotel was nice and clean. A little on the expensive side for drinks. Breakfast was average and a expensive for the quality. The hotel restaurant ( la scala) was a whole different level. Food was amazing. Especially the lamb shank. My wife had the chicken which was done to perfection. If you are going for a quiet trip then this hotel might be for you. If you are going as part of a trip to Belfast City then it's very far out from the city. About 20 pounds in each direction.

SSalvaThe hotel and (most) staff were amazing. My wife and I went for an overnight to visit the city. We have been using Trip.com for our travel needs since 2017 and have never had any issues. We pre-booked and paid for our stay in advanced. Upon arrival we were told that our card had been declined and that we needed to pay again. I tried to explain that that was not the case, but the receptionist insisted so I figured I had made a mistake and went ahead a paid (a second time) for our room. During our stay I double checked our accounts and again confirmed that all had been pre-paid in advanced so upon check out I again brought up the issue and was again told that I was in the wrong. It wasn't until a few days later that I called in again and got the issue corrected and my second and unnecessary charge was refunded. We forgive the mistake but the dismissive nature of the staff when we were trying to explain our situation was completely unprofessional and what you would expect from an establishment of this calibre.
PPengguna TetamuWe arrived late on Friday - around 10pm - and was very tired so disappointed to discover the volume of music being played in the foyer/bar area. However, we checked in with ease and given a little paper bag with tea bags, coffee and milk. There are 4 floors and our room was on floor 3. The room was certainly small as the elevator shaft essentially took up a big chunk of our room. This unfortunately meant that any time someone used the elevator, we heard the pings and the comedy Belfast voice they play when you get to a floor.
I called reception and asked when the music was played until - and I was told 1pm. Shame as we wanted to sleep and its all we could hear - and feel. The bass was that powerful that you could feel it 3 floors up!
Don't get me wrong - it's a cracking hotel in a great spot - but don't stay here if you want to get a good nights sleep. It's a party hotel really.
The service was great and the staff were lovely. Breakfast options were great and the pastries were delicious.
PPengguna TetamuCentral location in Belfast directly opposite the Titanic experience - so fab location.
Food was OK but unexciting and did not show case Belfast/Northern Ireland local produce which I have been told is brilliant. The ”Food Miles” were not shown on menus so I had no idea which dish used local ingredients.
Overall, I felt the hotel was quiet expensive even with the trip.com discounts.
PPengguna TetamuHaving stayed in the apartments several times on business trips, the flexibility of an apartment at hotel prices is just fantastic. The team have always been super helpful, dealing with anything including me missing a flight! The apartments are well stocked on cooking equipment, they are clean, quiet and have become a home from home when working in Belfast. I've never used the car park, but given there is one and the location, that just adds to the value for money. I would heartily recommend considering the apartments over the local hotels as this just makes a trip to Belfast that little bit easier with the flexibility of accomodation.
PPengguna TetamuWe nice ambience when we entered and had hand sanitizer sations available through out the hotel. Greeted by very friendly and courteous staff, thanks Madelina and Rubelha for all you help. Room was very nice and clean. Room service staff was great, thanks Rachel and Michelle. Housekeeping staff was fast and courteous. Food was great, loved the home made Titanic ice cream sundae and their other deserts.
Jjirapa pongjitThe room is specious, clean, quiet and new. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is well prepared in the private kitchen on each floor. This hotel is located near by top bars such as Harp Bar, The dirty onion, The thirty ghost, and Duke of York. It's a very good location for those who like bar hoping like me (walking about only 5 minutes) I really recommend!
PPengguna TetamuThe room I stayed in was a business-style suite facing the main road. It was big and comfortable with a nice bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. There is free, covered parking at the back which was useful.
The windows opened which was good as it was dry and hot in the room. I could not get the TV to work other than BBC World although eventually I managed to tweak the box and get it to work. The room furnishing was incredibly dark (wallpaper, curtains and light covers were all in dark material). I had to ask the reception to replace a broken bulb in one of the ceiling lights and the bedsit lights were so dark it was impossible to read by them.
The cleaning of the room was a bit hit or miss and there were cigarette butts permanently stuck out of the external butt holder right by the front door. The housekeeper did pop by and apologise. The staff at reception were helpful and pleasant and when prompted sorted out the necessary issues.
Ssgausden1980Really good B&B on the edge of Belfast which is close to shopping centres and the motorway. The rooms are spotless, large and comfortable. The on site kitchen is an excellent addition with some items available all day long on a help-yourself basis. Quiet and peaceful, great WiFi and a fantastic host in Vivian. Will definitely be returning soon!
PPengguna TetamuApartments were lovely but will never ever go again checked out 7 days ago still haven’t gotten my deposit back, I was not told about the deposit until I was checking in, I was told it was a preauthorisation and would get it a few days after I checked out upon checking out I was told it would be 2 weeks (by a different person) 7 days later no refund it’s January and bills have to be paid so I am not happy! I was also told I had to pay for parking upon check in again nothing on the website about this. A disgrace trying to get money out of people after they have already paid for their trip. Might I also add I emailed regarding the deposit 4 days ago And no one in dream apartments bothered to reply to my email I understand in retail it’s busy but 4 days later no reply what a joke I will never recommend this place to stay ever to anyone
Originally booked Obel 64 on Belfasts riverside for a short stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. Had our transport, restaurants and itinerary for our trip all pre planned and most of it pre booked prior to arriving only to have a message late the night before travelling to tell us they moved our reservation to another location due to ”unforseen circumstances” no other explanation. St Thomas Hall was the opposite side of the city centre to where we should have been staying and there was apparently no other options for relocating us and it was also non refundable. I therefore spent the night prior to travelling, rather than getting a good night sleep, cancelling/amending all our travel arrangements for the whole trip, and reorganising our restaurants and itinerary. Although they upgraded our room to include an extra bedroom, I ended up spending much more money because of the additional transport and cancellation/amendment fees. The good bits - reception staff I spoke to to get key code was friendly and polite, accessing the apartment was easy, the apartment itself was spacious, modern and clean. I had organised a birthday package on arrival for extra which included prosecco, a cake, balloons and banners which was very nicely done 👍, the beds and sofas were comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen had everything we needed, there were some take away and sit in food establishments nearby including a mini coop, regular buses to city centre from bus stop just down from apartment. The not so good bits - no longer had the river view or the main attractions within a reasonable walking distance for my 9 year old son (which were the whole reason I booked Obel 64), ALL the internal doors were so loud/squeaky and no door stoppers provided to prop them open which was not so good through the night, there were only 2 pillows provided per double bed and may as well not have had any as they were so flat and thin, one of the bedroom door handles was loose and threatening to fall off, as the property is on a main road there was so much loud traffic right into the early hours and the windows didn't do much to dampen the noise (should have brought my ear plugs). Overall experience was very mixed. The apartment itself was comfortable enough and served the needs we had for our short stay, however, it's absolutely not the property or location I would have booked for our particular stay and having read other reviews it seems to be a regular thing which is very worrying and it was a very stressful experience. On that basis I'd be wary booking again.
