Estival Torrequebrada This hotel was always one that came up on the search of holidays. Reviews did make me wonder if I had made the right decision. On arrival we had a short wait at the reception to check in. The entrance was lovely with ramps and steps. We were checked in and in Room 408 in the Malaga Tower. We got a bit lost on route to the room, going past the ****** and turning right at the second shop. But another guest sent us the right way. To get to the lift on Ground floor, you do need to go past some rooms. The lifts are on the right. Just beyond the lifts is a lovely seating area. If going to the pool just go to -2 and go to the pool outside past the spa. There were 3 lifts and not a long wait. We arrived at the 4th floor and found the room. Except our keys wouldn’t work. Fortunately the housekeeper was there and was able to check we had the right room and let us in. While my husband went to sort the keys, I looked round the room. You use your key at the door to put the electricity on. A wee square entrance with the bathroom on your right. There was enough room to store our suitcases out here. Then straight ahead the room door. The room opened up to a lovely clean room. We had twin beds. The wardrobes had beautiful shutter type sliding doors with extra pillows and blankets on the top shelf. A safe which is free. Plenty hanging space with plenty of hangers for once then shelving on the other side. A lovely mirror on the wall allowing you to see yourself. A nice big desk area with a tv above, a bin and a fridge which had nothing in it but we filled from the supermarket. There was also a kettle with teabags but not coffee. The one thing that impressed me were 6 plug sockets with USB ports too. Plenty lights too such as little ones for reading. Beautiful lights on the wall and another one above the fridge. This led out to the balcony which was a decent size with a table and chairs the sun came round from lunch time and also covered above. The beds were twins for us. Lots of room and I found the mattress just right for me. The bathroom was a good size but the walk in shower seemed to flood the bathroom every time we used it. The toilet looked like it should have had a door on it but appeared to be missing but was fine for the two of us, The adult pool area was regularly busy but you could always get a bed. The pool bar by the adult pool wasn’t always open but the self service was fine and the staff were helpful on the odd occasion that I needed help. The toilets nearby were clean and ok to use. The family pool has a large area too, the pool bar here had food available between 11-7pm apart from a heavy downpour meaning the staff needed time to clear up all the mess. The self serve ice cream needed a bit more freezing but the food was fine for eating if you were looking for a snack. The toilets here were clean but didn’t flush well. This was my second solo trip to this magnificent hotel. The staff are incredibly polite and friendly and I am very grateful to them for such wonderful and welcoming hospitality. Just by a coincidence I was here last year on their opening day and this year on their last closing day for Winter. The food is really varied and high quality. Everything is made from scratch with authentic ingredients and you can taste this for sure. There is something to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. The rooms are immaculate and with constant hot water for the showers. Kettle in room for tea etc and little fridge for your cava bottle or suncream. The views are spectacular also. Really nice sized balcony with great views. I cannot find anything negative to say about this hotel. WiFi speed also good and good range of international TV stations on the TV in the room. Last year my sister who was living in a separate apartment joined me for dinner one night and it's not problem to just pay a bit extra for this in the dining room and this year she will also do the same tonight which is my last night here. I really hope to come back again next year. Also great bus links right outside to Malaga or Torremolenos one way or Fuengirola the other way. Don't hesitate to book this wonderful hotel.

Firstly I have to say thank you to two outstanding teams in this hotel, the reservations team who responded to my many enquiries swiftly, were very informative and most importantly fulfilled my requests for room location & view, which was amazing. We were delighted with our room and housekeeping team were supremely helpful & efficient, advising us where we could refill our water & cleaning our room every day with sheets changed on request & they also granted our request for extra pillows. There was no coffee in the room but the restaurant manager obliged my request with sachets (although decaf) I was very grateful to receive them. On arrival we weren’t given any information apart from the floor for food and the floor for pool. It would have been very helpful if more information was given on arrival, no info given on location, nearby shop, buses, events in the hotel during the week, I think we missed out on a lot as we did see a children’s singsong one evening in return from the restaurant and luckily we came back one evening to find a Halloween circus for guests, we had read a notice this was a private event so didn’t realise it was for guests, we were told by another guest and were delighted because it was absolutely terrifying & brilliant!! We didn’t know anything about pool games either. Of the reception team don’t want to give the information I would recommend a programme of events. The restaurant team work hard & fast clearing and resetting at speed. The food selection was plentiful for breakfast & dinner with different food themes at night such as seafood, Mexican, bbq. Overall very tasty and all you could ask for but temperature is an issue and it’s served lukewarm at best. There’s an adult swimming pool section separate from family which is a great idea. Bar area by pool also offering free books which I loved, not sure about toilets, I asked 2 staff members but they just said to go inside so I went to the spa. Spa is lovely, great indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steamroom. Hotel is a short walk from beaches and the town but the beautiful location on the water with stunning views and in a quiet area were my reasons for choosing this hotel, however, be aware there is a playground next to the bar and we were kept awake by children playing until after midnight, I think this would be a big issue during busy summer months if you are not a party person. I loved our stay here and would stay again if returning to the area.

We could not recommend this hotel enough it was very clean and had very friendly staff. Food and drinks offer on all inclusive was huge. The ****** was fab too. Yes it is a little bit out from the marina but plenty of buses and taxis to get you around. Spa was fab although would of liked indoor pool to be warmer. The walk from the hotel along the coast line is a must. We will definitely be back.

I wanted to let other travellers know about Inflatables. I love to float and sunbathe at the same time, I initially found the floating sun loungers which weren't overly popular so availability was fine. On the other hand, the larger pool has a shallow side with hand rails where you are allowed Inflatables. I had a half moon sit on chair which was super comfortable It was dependant on the lifeguards whether or not you could float around the pool. One guy was strict that you stayed around the shallow part, which is fair enough and understandable. Hope this helps others

This is our 2nd time and to be honest we do not think its been as good . We paid extra for a seaview room and got room 609 its fab huge with gorgeous views, huge bathroom and the cleaner is in every day. Pool opens at 9am and people do queue but we always got a seat. Pool is freezing. There is a snack bar by pool burgers hot dogs nuggets chips. Burgers were vile. Last time you got mini cornettos etc but this year you had to pay there is ice cream and sauces Food in main restaurant was ok never went hungry but very repetitive. I really would have expected more salad varieties. Pizzas were vile and thats sons favourite food and even he would not touch them. We ate out 3 times in a week just because we were bored with the food. The hotel is mainly french over 60s and entertainment team do work hard to include you if you want to participate. Evening entertainment has gone really downhill. One show was completey in french and i get the 80% of the guests are french but entertainment should cater for all. The main thing fir us was the queues at the bar. There is only 1 night time bar for all the guests queues are massive who wants to queue 5 minutes every time they want a drink. The hotel is big and could easily have a pop up bar or open the outdoor bar at night Hotel is super clean gorgeous views but we wont return food let it down for us and the lack of bars for the size of hotel is crazy
