Just returned home after a very pleasant week at the Armoric Hotel and I would like to thank all the people who work there for their friendly welcome. A special mention of course for Irene's delicious cooking! My favourite dish was the Dinde avec Sauce Aigre Douce. The choice of dishes is amazing and dinner, like breakfast, is very good value. The position of the hotel is one of its major attributes, everything is within walking distance and walking around Benodet is a pleasure in itself. The a**osphere is that of a traditional seaside hotel, where the owners seem genuinely concerned that you enjoy your holiday and who work very hard. There is always somebody available to deal with queries, make you a drink and offer advice. I found the bed very comfortable and particularly liked the 2 chairs around the desk, not sure if they are baroque or empire style. The chairs on the small terrace were comfortable as well. My room gave onto the garden and it was wonderful, coming from a large city to be able to listen to the birds singing and sometimes nothing at all. The music was exactly to my taste in the restaurant, such a change from the usual muzak which aspires to provide ambiance but does completely the reverse.

We have just returned from a visit to this hotel. It is our third or fourth visit and we love it here. The hotel is clean and comfortable. As are the beds. The staff are great, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. and the food is grea.t. The gardens and pool are lovely and it is a pleasure to sit outside with a glass of wine in the evenings. Benodet is a nice town on the estuary with several good restaurants and a good market. Can recommend.

Family run hotel with car park, about 10 minutes’ walk to the beach. Room was a decent size and clean, comfy bed, decor a bit 1980s, large bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast with a wide choice. Evening meal was good, 3 courses for 25 Euro - there are very few restaurants in the town given how popular it is. I strongly recommend the OVNI restaurant on the road to Fouesnant if you don’t mind driving or taking a taxi. Hotel staff all friendly too. The road can be noisy so you may wish to ask for a room at the back or in the annexe overlooking the garden. Would happily stay here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4 en route to South France. Wish we’d had longer!!! The hotel owners and staff were amazing, friendly, accommodating and just so welcoming. We’d never been to Benodet before but we will certainly be returning for longer next time. It was stunning!!

We loved this family run hotel. It was charming. We had the best meal of the holiday here. Hake meniere. I hope I spelt this right. The garden is lovely for a drink in the evenings. We were there during the heat wave and it was great to sit under the trees in the cool. There could have been more comfy garden furniture. Strangely we didn’t see any business people. We will be back

We stayed at L'Armoric for a week and had a lovely time. Everyone, from the first reception team on Sunday to the owners and the breakfast servers and cleaning staff looked after us wonderfully. We had booked a slightly larger room with a fridge, a sofa and coffee table which was ideal for relaxing after a day out exploring the beaches and coast paths in the area. The breakfast buffet was laden with both savoury and sweet food choices and a variety of hot and cold drinks. All our inquiries about things to do etc were answered patiently and with good humour. If you look for excellent, efficient service with a personal, family-feel touch this hotel is for you.

A warm welcome from Michel and Irene, and a friendly family run hotel made sure we had a great holiday. The room was lovely and bed very comfortable - we slept so well! Everything was clean, the pool was warm and the beer from the bar cold - what more could you want? Breakfast had a good variety, and the chef kindly accommodated my food allergies when we had an evening meal (which was yummy!). Parking undercover for the motorbike was a welcome bonus. Overall a great stay and we'd happily go again. Thank you Michel and Irene - wishing you a successful season.

Il n'y a avait pas d'eau chaude les deux premiers jours car l'hôtel n'avait pas réapprovisionné sa cuve à mazout ! Le buffet du petit déjeuner était quasiment vide à 9h30 le premier jour. La literie de l'une de nos deux chambres était catastrophique avec des ressorts peu confortables. Les rideaux ne sont pas du tout occultants et il fait jour dès que le soleil se lève. Les télévisions sont minuscules, plus petites que l'écran de mon ordinateur portable et en hauteur, au point que si on regarde de assis les couleurs se modifie et tout devient rouge. La piscine était fermée et dans un état de très grande saleté, cela n'était pas indiqué sur le site de l'hôtel.

Hôtel d’un autre temps, avec tout le charme des hôtels anciens dont la déco date vraiment. Ceux qui préfèrent les hôtels modernes refaits à neuf n’apprécieront pas. Pourquoi 5 étoiles ? Parce que Nous avons aimé l’accueil excellent, le jardin et la piscine couverte (donc utilisable). La chambre est spacieuse. Évidemment un refurbisching serait à propos.
