Watermouth Lodges

Nice and tranquil park location is very good staff very friendly accommodation was very good thoroughly enjoyed our stay

There are lots of positives about the lodges, views, location, peace, comfort and well equipped. The lodges aren't completely modern, but comfortable and good value, especially the hot tub lodges. We also had Seaview, which had a fab view of the harbour. The negatives for us were the lack of advertised facilities. We have stayed twice before and not had the same issues as this time. The bar and restaurant were not open as advertised and the TV in our sitting room never had any signal to watch anything. We did report this twice and unsure if someone came to look at it. Either way, it wasn't fixed!! Having said that, we would stay again because of the location, we were just a bit disappointed in the service this time round.

We enjoyed our stay at park life resorts, fantastic location if visiting watermouth castle , only a minutes walk from our lodge, and only a 5 minute drive to Ilfracombe. The lodge was a little dated but very clean. The smart tv was great. We would stay again in the future.

Absolutely wonderful short break here all the staff were amazing so friendly and helpful the Lodge was 1st class everything there that I needed very clean and comfortable I will be booking again and will be recommending

Whilst the rooms were great and in an idyllic setting we felt short changed by our stay here. Granted it was coming to the end of season but when you pay for service you are advertised as part of the experience then don't receive it you can't help but feel disappointed. Upon arrival at 6pm we were told everything would be shutting early that night due to lack of staff and after a long drive we had to rush to get sorted and be able to get something to eat/drink (a sub par pizza was all they were serving up too). We were then subsequently rushed out pre 8pm as they had to shut down for the night. Whilst on the second night they did keep the bar open and from what we saw there was a full menu available, we didn't chance staying for too long as we were told by the bar staff "they are going home at 8, whatever the case" and "I'll only stay til I'm told to go, if everyone whos in is still drinking then I dont mind staying til the end", when asked what time they would be staying open until that evening. As for the third day it was a disaster. It was a rainy day and we chose to stay local with view to using the on site facilities. When we went to use the indoor soft play area for our little boy, it was in darkness at 3pm. We went back a while later to see if it were open for the evening around 5:30 and yet everything on site was still shut. We complained upon check out to the receptionist that we felt short changed, given we purposely booked a stay here for the facilities to keep our little one entertained. £106 a night for a room that offered on site food, drinks and leisure activities, yet we barely got drinks. We were told we would be out in touch with management upon our departure to discuss our stay yet it's over a week on and I am still to hear anything. Terrible service all round and an incredibly disgruntled and disappointed guest!
