Marshall Meadows Manor House

We had a Junior Suite which gave us a separate sitting room which was rather nice and vey cosy. For us the highpoint of our stay were the evening meals. These are superbly presented with creative and imaginative tastes to the dishes. The meals were far from run of the mill and made the whole week-end that bit special. We found the staff pleasant and always willing to help. The hotel is particularly well situated if you want to walk on the coastal path for which the free Walk Highlands App was very useful

This is a lovely hotel easily accessed from dual carriageway. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help show guests to their room, carry luggage, etc. especially useful as there is no lift access to guestrooms. Parking is free but we declined dinner as we had earlier enjoyed a substantial lunch with friends. The rooms are warm and clean with en suite shower/toiletries, tea and coffee trays. Breakfast was very pleasant with a good choice of cooked items, in addition to fruit juice, cereal, pastries, fruit, etc from a buffet display. Tea/coffee and toast were brought to your table and quickly replenished. One minor grumble - we were unable to locate a switch to activate the bathroom radiator/towel warmer which did not come on until after 9.00am whilst we were at breakfast. However, we enjoyed our stay and will happily return.

We booked a pod using the ‘suite deal’ offer and could not have been happier with our stay. Hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff are all very friendly, particularly Alicia on reception. The pod was very modern with great lighting and underfloor heating. A couple of minor issues, the TV had no signal and the Bluetooth speakers did not work. The bathroom is on the small side but perfectly fine for one night. The hot tub is a lovely bonus. We had an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant and both were very nice. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to escape for the weekend.
