What a beautiful hotel, and amazing rooms. Amit at Front desk is such a warm person. Hats off to him. Great food - one kid from Darjeeling is a rockstar - I forgot his name - (tashi or tamang) he is the new joiner from Darjeeling. --- One thing to note - is there is not much to do outside the hotel as per me, so its a great place for staycation. I didnt find the city that great, but lovely hotel. Easily the best in the city, best staff - Keep it up!

Upon arriving at the Laxi Niwas hotel, you will be taken by the imposing grand architecture, and upon entering the hall, you will be impressed by the chiseled red sandstone of the grand inner courtyard. Hard not to feel like royalty! This is accompanied by courteous and attentive service. After check-in our very large palatial suite (with 5 to 8 m ceiling), we went touring Bikaner with the guide recommended by the hotel, who was excellent, and we ended the day having a ro***tic dinner in the inner courtyard under the stars accompanied by marvelous music and dancing. The Maitre D' chose the menu for us, and it was delicious.

Located in Lal Garh palace complex, the royal residence of the Bikaner royal family. Though built in the last decade but in a royal haveli style with comfortable rooms. Super deluxe room is where we stayed equipped with a double bed, attached bath and chairs inside the room. Breakfast was included but arranged at Suvarna mahal restaurant in the adjacent Hotel Sagar an another property of the owner. They call it pure veg but eggs were also served in the buffet. Good stay overall with Junagarh and shopping market near Kote gate at an approachable distance.

We visited the haveli with family. Feels like home away from home. I loved how all the rooms were different from one other unlike the corporate hotels in the city. They have 10 different rooms in the entire haveli. Sneha was kind enough to show us to all the rooms and let us choose whichever one we wanted. The location is also very convenient. Rampuria haveli is literally 2 minutes walk away & old city market, Junagadh fort is 10 minutes drive away. The food, staff is extremely cooperative & cool. They made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Just beware of the auto rickshaw drivers and cab drivers, they’ll try and do anything to cheat you. 3/4 times they’ve cheated us after deciding the fate beforehand.

On the way back to new Delhi, perfectly located in the road. The staff were helpful, they provide break fast for non vegetarian. It was very cold , but in the room a heater was provided and we felt like home.The room was spacious and comfortable.

Good tour during the day and the location is perfect to visit the sites in Bikaner. Rooms are ok, nothing special. Took a small daytour with Gulam and he was very kind and informative. Very relaxed and not pushy at all.

JJudith SWe have just concluded a 16-day stay at the Resort and I have to say it has been one of the most relaxing and peaceful travel for us. There is a lot that goes in favor of this beautiful lush green property but what helped our decision was the fact that this place was Pet friendly in the truest sense. We traveled as a couple with our eleven and a half year old Labrador. And, were looking for a place that was safe ( since i would be alone for a number of hours during the day) and would have open spaces for our pet baby. Thar Exotica ticked these boxes and more. The resort is exceptionally green for the typical landscape in Bikaner. And our daily walks were filled with the chirping of birds and the fragrance of the fresh air and the foliage. We chose to stay in the Deluxe room that is quite large and has a small private lawn. The property boasts of two swimming pools, which are witness to occasional parties. But, the rooms are reasonably sound-proofed, so you won't be disturbed. The resort has a very calm and peaceful vibe that is enhanced by the people who run the show here. And so, I am grateful to Mr Ismail ( for his management and especially for helping arrange for the city's famous Sharbat and Bhujia), Prakash ( for his administrative ability and his positive attitude), Roopinder ( for her cheerful helpfulness), Mimi ( especially for a lovely haircut at the Spa), Rahul ( for taking special care of everyday things), and Dinesh ( for the meals he cooked for our Labrador) and everyone else who worked happily and quietly. Food is good although, sometimes, a little rich for our taste but the resort accommodated our needs and so, no complaints on this aspect. Breakfast was good and adequate. Thar Exotica is a great place to unwind, relax, read or pursue any quiet hobby that you have. Or even to spend a happy weekend with family/friends. I didn't even realise how quickly the 16 days went by. We left this place with a smile on our faces and that really just says it all. Thank you once again to everyone at Thar Exotica.

Rooms somewhat bare for the size but very roomy. Bed comfortable but linen & towelling in need of some whiting or replacing. Lovely exterior & corridor adjoining lobby, pool area & gardens also nice but sadly used by more pigeons than guests. If this perturbs you then maybe think twice about your level of accomodation in India. Staff were very friendly. Our room & bathroom were clean but maintenece to powerpoints & detailing in bathrooms would make a huge difference. I guess if you have high expectations for a 4 star hotel in India then you will be dissappointed. Fine detailing is not their thing but smiles & friendliness is. Our breakfast & dinner were included in our organised travel so not sure of pricing but food was lovely especiall dinner. Would we recommend & stay here again...YES .
