I ended up in a room with a jacuzzi tub which was just what I needed for my little get away! The room itself was nice, clean and comfortable.

It was a nice place to stayed. Very comfortable. But very outdated. The a/c and heater unit was so old I did not know how to make it work. It has no temperature control. Very loud unit too. Otherwise it was a nice place to just sleep and relax.

The Argo Inn is in a good location and is close to "downtown" Idaho Springs, close enough to walk, with sidewalks. There are lots of dining options nearby in addition to a grocery store and gas stations. It is in a quiet location and the rear views are nice with a stream and mountain side. Staff were friendly and check in and out were seamless and easy with no problems. I even had an booking/change issue had had to talk to staff on the phone and they were very friendly and accomodating.

Checking in was pleasant, but there were serious issues with the room. Noisy stomping around above us until the wee hours, and water dripping down from the ceiling into the bathtub. We did not sleep well, to say the least. Also, had to clean up previous guests’ sticky substance on the nightstand, and door handle was bent so that our knuckles hit the back of the door when opening it. Holes in walls where previous furnishings had been removed, and a deep drain hole in front of toilet. Room 108 needs some TLC!

Nice introductory video and excellent guide to help us understand how mining was done. It was fascinating to learn about the engineering wonder and the ultimate downfall of the Argo.

My room was supposed to be non smoking, there was a sign, the smell of stale smoke was overwhelming. The floor and surfaces were clean, the walls had what looked like soda splashed/dripped on the wall, screws from detached items not removed or covered. Very large cobwebs in areas. Evidence of wide water leaks in two areas in the ceiling, no obvious signs of repair.

Friendly and welcoming front desk staff, comfortable room with jacuzzi tub and a balcony overlooking the river, easy and convenient location for walking, shopping/dining, and hot springs. Loved my stay!

Very friendly front desk. Room with view of the river was nice. Cute little historic town with brewery across the street and excellent local food.
