Hotel berhampiran Punta de Santa Anna, Blanes

En general está bien pero hay zonas que necesitan reforma, escaleras (las bajé varias veces porque el ascensor suele estar ocupado) acceso a piscina, el salón-comedor (es pequeño, sin ventanas, teniendo otra sala anexa mucho más grande). A su favor, está bien situado y hay un parking enorme gratuito cerca. (el hotel tiene un parking muy pequeño de pago). Destacar también el personal de comedor, son muy amables y serviciales todos. La comida, aunque no hay gran variedad es correcta. Sobre la piscina, un poco justa cuando el hotel está tan lleno. Habitaciones bien, están reformadas e incluyen minibar y caja fuerte, aunque las camas no son muy buenas. El baño amplio y con ventana. Respecto al balcón, el nuestro era RIDICULO, apenas cabían las dos sillas. Hice la reserva con ellos directamente insistiéndoles con la terraza y plantas superiores. Nos la dieron en la 7ª planta pero un mini balcón- Además olía mucho a tabaco, solicité un cambio en dos ocasiones y ni siquiera lo intentaron. A la salida del hotel ni nos preguntaron como había sido nuestra estancia. En resumen, el hotel esta bien para unos días, pero sinceramente para mí no tiene la categoría de 4 estrellas superior.

If you want 5 star luxury I’m afraid you have to pay for it. We’ve just got back from a cheap week at the hotel Esplendid and can say it does what it says on the tin. Good bits. Air con worked fine, Pool area is nice, Location is great, it’s very clean the rooms are done daily and towels swapped every day if you ask, Breakfast was ok, you can hire a hairdryer for €5 for the week & a deposit for the tv remote is required. Not so Good bits. We had a pool facing room (which you want) but there is a night club across the road so if you can ask for a pool facing room, so you can sleep. A big one this for some people this hotel doesn’t serve Alcohol at all. They don’t mind you bringing your own in which we found the be a lot cheaper €1.20 for a large cold beer from the supermarket across the road. The pool bar food wasn’t very good. Overall it is what it is a little dated and in need of a bit of TLC but we had a good time they don’t have a lot of British guests mostly French and Spanish. But that was fine and the no booze rule keeps it quite at nights. Don’t be put off if your on a budget you’re going to enjoy it . Blanes is lovely if you want a mad holiday Lloret de Mar is 5 miles away .

As a family of 5 we booked this hotel as a cheap option, paying about £3500 including flights and private transfers. We booked all inclusive and I must admit that I was nervous after reading reviews; some were great and some were terrible, and not many were in between. Our experience was that the staff were friendly enough, the hotel was clean enough but pool side was filthy. In every other hotel I’ve stayed in sunloungers get stacked up in the evening and the poolside is cleaned, however here the sunloungers are left out and the area is quickly hosed off in the morning. There is hair, muck, food and discarded cups everywhere. The rush for a sunbed in the morning is ridiculous- people queue from 8:30 and run out when the doors open at 9. Unfortunately you have to join in the madness or miss out- there are not enough sunloungers for everyone but there are some fancy cabana style ones that are €40 a day- these have been completely unoccupied since we’ve been here. Rooms are clean but basic- no full length mirror or plugs in bath or sink but shower decent and hairdryer in the bathroom. Beds made every day. Food in the restaurant is plentiful and decent selection - however we ate out a few times as the kids were eating chips for every meal. There is a queue to get into the dining room at the beginning of each mealtime but if you can hang on a bit then it dies down really quickly. Snack bar limited, but included chips, fish fingers, nuggets and sandwiches (oddly only tuna during the week we spent here). Ice cream tubs available all day. Drinks fine, although only one bar serving all inclusive drinks. Highlights of our week were a catamaran cruise and water sports down on Fenals beach. Overall a decent holiday, but go expecting a 2* hotel and you’ll be grand, it’s definitely not a 4*. Decent value for what we paid but wouldn’t choose to return.

Lovely hotel in a guite location, right beside train station so great base to explore and 1 hour from Barcelona, beautiful beach but not great for swimming or children as it has a very step shelf. More activities further long beach in Santa Suzanna which is 20 minute walk and more lively. Hotel itself was very clean lovely rooms (ours had sea view which is spectacular) small but practical. All inclusive was great, food was exceptional with great variety again though not for smaller children. I only have one complaint/issue, as we were all inclusive we paid 2 euro for a drinks card, refundable at checkout, this is guite common, however we were served drinks in plastic glasses which again is fine while by the pool but not on an evening while sitting in main bar, but staff would not provide proper glasses for us, also cocktails on the all inclusive menu are a measure of alcohol with a pre made mixer from a machine but a paying customer gets a somewhat proper cocktail, when we addressed this staff told us paying customers only get a proper cocktail and are permitted to use glass and we had not paid!! also we might drink more, now the age of our group range from 40's to 70's so by no means big drinkers. The moral of this story is and which staff didn't seem to care about was that we had indeed paid for our food and drink, we paid in advance by adding that option to our booking pre travel and this can be expensive so all customers regardless should get the same drinks in proper glasses on an evening. Most staff are lovely and friendly but like anywhere there were a few with no personalities. Would return to the area though, maybe even to the hotel!!

Pertama sekali, saya mesti menekankan bahawa ia sentiasa menjadi hotel pantai kegemaran saya. Pembersihan sangat baik, dan lebih banyak perhatian diberikan. Perlu disebutkan bahawa saya pergi ke semua merangkumi, pelayan bar sangat baik, terutamanya seorang lelaki muda bernama Harvey, yang sangat baik! Bagi makanan, ia jelas bukan 10/10, tetapi bagi saya ia adalah bufet hotel terbaik yang pernah saya kunjungi (pasta sarapan yang baru dibuat adalah hebat), di samping itu terdapat kawasan bakeware dan kuali untuk anda Mereka menyediakan banyak perkara seperti tortilla pagi, daging, dll. Kecuali orang yang sangat ramah seperti Mar atau Araceli, saya tidak boleh membuat sebarang kesilapan di kawasan bufet. Hakikatnya mereka kadang-kadang sangat sabar dengan pelanggan tertentu. The best thing about going away from home is not having to worry about where you are staying and I was not dissapointed at all. The hotel is just as it is in the photos. Clean, plush and welcoming. We arrived late at night (20/10/23) after waiting 2 hours for our transfer then the travel from Barcelona to the hotel we were tired but welcomed by the wonderful night staff member I think his name was Thorko. He offered us something to eat and explained the hotel facilities. The pool is cold but once you get in its ok and it was fun seeing the look on peoples faces as they got in lol it was a conversation starter. The hotel is located on the beach and near the train station I actually think its the best part of the ***** 5 minutes from Aloha that does the best cocktails and night vibes. All the staff were friendly and the breakfast well I'm missing the breakfast 😀 cava with your freshly made omlette or pancakes, the fruit shots were delicious and how do they make mushrooms taste so good. Best bit was there were no kids!! I would definitely stay here again.

It was our 5th time in this hotel. We have been very loyal to them for all these years but this time we were disappointed with all the changes they had made. The rooms were renovated and now there is a glass door in the bathroom that doesn't close. If you are staying by yourself it is alright but if you're with your family/friends it is extremely uncomfortable. The quality of the food went down. We stayed for 10 days and during this time paella had uncooked rice 3 days in a row. Also potatoes were not cooked properly for these 3 days. One of the waiters in the restaurant was quite rude. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine (which wasn't cheap). She brought it to us and left, without offering to open it. So we ended up opening it ourselves. The swimming pool area wasn't cleaned properly. Sometimes we would come there in the evening around 20:30-21:00 finding glasses/cups/rubbish/empty cans still sitting on tables since the morning. We used to like the children's mini disco that was after dinner but now they changed the time for 17:00 and do it in the basement, the room for kids activities looks so horrible and gloomy that nobody is ever there. The lady who was supposed to run it also didn't look enthusiastic at all. I don't think we will be coming back next year.

Pay attention guys! This is the first time that something like this happend to me. Very bad experience. Basically I paid for a sea view room. During the check in they said that the room I paid for was not available. And Mrs Amira (big liar) at the reception told me to trust her that hey would me pay back money. I spent one night there and than I asked for refounding but they didn't accept. I leave the hotel because I was really disgusted about the experience and they stole 450 euros from my credit card. Just a lot of excuses to not pay me back. I hope this review will help other tourists to not fall in my same mistake! If I have to go into details: room was very poor and dirty. The view is on train station (you hear the train passing all the time) and from hotel website it seems that the beach is really near the hotel but in truth you have to walk more than 10 minutes because of train station you have to do a large turn around. Absolutely not serious hotel at all. Liars!
