I recently stayed at Hotel Ibis Malang, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel is impeccably clean, with every corner spotless and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always greeting me with warm smiles and going out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect. Their professionalism and attention to detail truly stood out.
Breakfast was another highlight of my stay. The variety of dishes offered was impressive, catering to both local and international tastes. Each meal was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious, giving me the perfect start to my day.

Ibis have shown that they deserve credit for their efforts to maintain their standard of cleanliness. The room is clean and the location is strategic enough to be in the centre of Malang City with a nearby mart and coffee shop. I love to come and stay in Ibis again. Thank you Ibis!

To all those who are planning to book this hotel, if you are planning to book this hotel, please give up your idea immediately!
Bottled water is charged! At 4 o'clock in the middle of the night, there are three super loud speakers next to the prayer, which is louder than on the plane! Five times a day! You can hear it in any room!
Staff service attitude is poor
Language communication barrier: Some employees can't speak English at all, and the front desk and service staff are all locals, and they can't communicate normally with international tourists at all.
Service is arrogant and rude: The service staff is indifferent and rude to the guests, especially mean and rude to Chinese guests, and there is obvious discrimination.
No place to complain: I was woken up by the noise in the middle of the night and asked to change rooms, but the hotel refused indifferently and didn't get any help. The whole process was extremely disappointing.
Environmental noise problem is serious
Early morning noise: The hotel starts to pray loudly with loudspeakers at 4 o'clock every morning. The sound is huge and lasting, and it is impossible to sleep peacefully.
Traffic noise: The hotel is close to the road and opposite the gas station. Vehicles flow all night long, and the rumbling noise keeps waking me up.
Poor soundproofing: The room has almost no soundproofing. Even if the guests next door close the door or walk around, the sound can be clearly heard. There is no quiet at all.
Poor room facilities
Empty mini bar: The so-called free mini bar is empty, and no drinks or snacks are provided. It is completely false propaganda.
Poor toiletries: The number of toiletries is extremely limited, and the quality is poor and the hygiene is worrying.
Very low cost performance
Not worthy of the name: I paid a high room fee, but got such a bad experience. It is not worthy of being called a hotel at all. The actual service level is not even as good as a third-rate hostel!
Summary: In short, this hotel is completely unworthy of its name, with poor service attitude and extremely poor environment. It is definitely not worth booking. I strongly recommend all tourists to take a detour and never step on the thunder!
To everyone planning to book this hotel: if you are about to make a reservation here, please abandon that idea immediately!
They even charge for bottled water!
At 4 AM three enormous loudspeakers next door blast prayers—louder than an airplane! They do this five times a day, and you can hear it from any room!
Staff attitude is terrible:
Language barrier: Some employees don’t speak any English; everyone at reception and on staff is local and utterly unable to serve international guests.
Arrogant and rude service: They treat guests coldly and rudely, and blatantly discriminate against Chinese visitors.
No recourse: When I was woken by noise in the middle of the night and asked to change rooms, they refused me with total indifference—no help whatsoever.
Severe noise problems:
Early-morning noise: The nearby church starts blasting prayers through loudspeakers at 4 AM every day, loud and relentless—sleep is impossible.
Traffic noise: The hotel is right next to a busy road opposite a gas station, with vehicles and motorcycles roaring by nonstop all night.
Poor soundproofing: There is virtually no insulation between rooms—you can hear your neighbor’s children slamming doors or walking around crystal-clear.
Terrible room amenities:
Empty minibar: The so-called “free minibar” is completely bare—no drinks or snacks. False advertising.
Shabby toiletries: Bathroom amenities are scarce, low-quality, and unhygienic.
Awful value:
This place is nothing like a luxury hotel—you pay premium rates but get third-rate service worse than a budget inn!
Summary: This hotel is a total scam: rude staff, unbearable noise, awful facilities. Do yourself a favor and stay far away—do not book!

Утренний шум: Рядом церковь начинает по громкоговорителям молитвы в 4 ч утра, громко и не умолкая — уснуть невозможно.
Шум транспорта: Отель стоит у трассы напротив автозаправки, машины и мотоциклы едут беспрерывно всю ночь.
Плохая звукоизоляция: Стены между номерами почти отсутствуют, слышно даже как соседи хлопают дверьми или ходят по коридору.
Ужасные удобства в номере:
Пустой мини-бар: Бесплатный мини-бар полностью пуст — ни напитков, ни закусок. Чистый обман.
Ненадлежащие туалетные принадлежности: Мало и плохого качества, к тому же сомнительной чистоты.
Ужасное соотношение цена/качество:
Платишь высокую цену, а сервис хуже чем в дешевом хостеле.
Итог: Этот отель — обман: грубый персонал, невыносимый шум, жуткие условия. подальше — ни за что не бронируйте!

Very good, arrived in Malang at 9... wandered around while waiting for check-in time. ... but tired from culinary tours, finally arrived at the hotel at 12 o'clock even though check-in time was still a long way off (2 o'clock).. waiting... finally at 1 o'clock we were allowed to enter because the room was ready

The hotel is located on the main road of Jl.S. Parman. The location is superb. It is very convenient for eating and shopping. There are Pizza Hut and supermarkets just a few steps away. It is about a 2-hour drive from Surabaya Airport.

First time staying here and feel satisfied. The location is also strategic. The family room is okay, suitable for those who bring children. The bed is also comfortable, for amenities it is lacking because when in the room there is no toothbrush, maybe it was forgotten or it was not provided. I really like the carpeted room. What needs to be improved is the breakfast is not varied enough and the taste is lacking in my opinion. But overall, my child and I like to stay here
