Ulasan Granada Beach Resort - Adults Only

A wonderful hotel right by the sea. It's small, with only 8 rooms (if I remember correctly). All the rooms are large, clean, and beautiful. There's no TV, but that didn't bother us at all. They have their own reef where you can swim with turtles and various fish. They also organize transport with a driver for trips to see sharks and waterfalls. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food. We absolutely loved everything and didn't even leave the hotel. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Only stopped off for 1 night on way further south but great location with quiet scenic ambience.

We stayed for three nights, and on the second morning, as I sat down on a chair to get ready for the day, I was bitten multiple times on my hands and feet within just a few minutes. I immediately realised there were fleas in the room. However, since we had a packed schedule during the day and were exhausted by the time we returned to the hotel, we only reported the issue to the front desk at check-out. On the third day, my partner also woke up with bite marks, and I had even more bites on my body. The front desk staff kindly asked me to show them the areas where the bites likely occurred, but I told them the entire room would probably need a thorough cleaning. Additionally, the hot water in the shower wasn’t consistently warm enough, and the water pressure was often too low, possibly due to insufficient water in the tank. The staff did come in to carry out some repairs. The hotel staff were all very friendly and professional. I’m writing this review purely in the hope that they will take the necessary steps to improve the cleanliness, so that future guests can enjoy a safer and more comfortable stay.

Very clean and quiet

This is a hidden gem and we highly recommend this resort! Pros: - It is next to a coral reef and they provide free snorkeling equipment in great condition to use! This is the best reason to stay here, all the snorkeling you want for free and without the need to travel! - Very cozy environment with about 8 rooms only? You will have lunch and dinner with the same groups of people. - Food is delicious, slightly expensive but reasonable. From my short experience, the specials of the night tend to be nicer than the normal menu items, but they are all good regardless. - I love the resort arranged tour. We took a whale shark + secret waterfall tour, and the guide, Alex, was great. It was a personal tour (2 of us) and we had to leave at 4am (we were slightly late and left around 405-410am), and when we reached the whale shark place, it was already quite crowded and we got a queue number of 52 - still pretty good. After taking the queue number, there are a bunch of shops to shop around, but we stupidly forgot to bring any cash, and Alex was kind enough to lend us money for breakfast and souvenirs. He even helped us bargain with the street peddlers when they tried to overcharge us. When swimming with the majestic whale sharks, he used his go-pro to help us take photos and videos, so we just need to enjoy ourselves and pose. Personally, I think the whale shark experience is pretty basic, not well organized and too crowded, but Alex made the experience unforgettable with his personal touches and help. Cons: - The worst part is getting there. It took us 5.5 hours to get here from Mactan-Cebu Airport using the private transfer when we arrived around 1230pm Saturday. There was jam to get out of the airport, jam in Cebu city and road works all along the road to Granada. When we returned to the airport in Monday morning 4am, the trip took about 3 hours. - The massage is in a room with a nice sea view, but the massage was very gentle and I prefer something stronger to sooth the body aches (from sitting in the car for over 5 hours). So I guess this is up to personal preferences. - The snorkeling was great, but it could be a bit intimidating when it's just the 2 of us snorkeling unsupervised in a large open sea. We did not face any danger, but also did not dare to venture too far and for too long as we city folks are worried about snakes and jellyfishes. We do see fishes jumping out of the sea in the distance, and this could be a sign of predators nearby. - Adults only. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would love to bring our kids here in the future and spend more time here. However, with their adults only policy, we won't be able to do that.

Amazing hotel, will return for sure!

Great resort. Friendly staff. They arrange a scooter for you. You do need one because it is a bit secluded. Prices for the à la carte food were fine, not too expensive. Ride right outside the door. Snorkel and fins at reception. Sunbeds and parasol, private beach.

It was a perfect honeymoon!!! I cried all the way home when we left. The owners, Mike and Sarah Tom, were incredibly kind and helpful, like family! We felt completely at home!!! It was truly a dream come true. The service was excellent, it felt so much like coming home, so much happier than going back to my suffocating family home. We received wonderful hospitality and a great stay. The food was also very good, and the massages were both affordable and excellent. I want to go back and stay here again for a while!

A very nice small hotel (positions itself as a boutique). Excellent food. Prices are a little higher than, say, in town, but not by much. Cleaning, service, etc. are all up to par. There's a small but very beautiful reef with lots of turtles (though the entry into the water isn't great, but that's the case everywhere). I should also mention the downsides: 1. The shower in the second-floor room has very weak water pressure, just a thin trickle (both hot and cold). 2. It's far from the airport (but good places in Cebu always are :( ) Thanks to the hotel owner, Mike, for a wonderful time and attentive service! :)

Super hotel and location and reef

It's a very good hotel. The front desk is very welcoming. There is still a long way to go from the main road. The privacy is very good. The villa is built by the sea and the view is also very good.
