Having booked earlier in the month we had to bring the booking forward so we called to rearrange to date, which they did but after driving 250m,(7 hours) we were greeted with We don't have you booked in. After finding the confirmation from them, they had booked the wrong mouth. they found us a room, the carpet was filthy the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy and the room door did not close properly. the downstairs bar area needs a cleaning up and the woodwork around the seats in the window was badly chipped. when we came down for breakfast the table we were shown to was so sticky that our hands stuck to the table, we had to move tables, the food was average, and the staff were doing their best but were clearly unhappy. we have used the Last Drop for many years, several times a year whilst visiting relatives, someone needs to get a grip on the cleaning and the maintenance of this hotel or people like us will find somewhere else and there are plenty to choose from. Fix it Last Drop

Great value basic accommodation it does the job, felt comfortable, rooms were clean.
Exceeded my expectations in a way - compared to other Britannia hotels I’ve stayed in I would say this was by far the best. But knew what to expect.
Large rooms with big bathrooms - easy to access best bit was the staff incredibly friendly helpful and welcoming - that made the extra difference.
This isn’t ever going to be high end but great value for money - great service - would go back yes

Being a Bolton fan I was very excited to get the opportunity to stay here for a concert in Wigan. On arrival from the north of Scotland we were 2 hours early. We went to see if we could check in early, this was granted as the room had been made up. Made our way to the pitch view room and was delighted. Having checked in we managed to explore the stadium surroundings and visit the club shop. Although I was very happy with the room it did look a little dated and in need of some tlc but again this did not take away from my experience. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was my son’s birthday so he got the double bed and I got the pull out zedbed which was fine for a night, my son said he slept well. My only negative is that although the breakfast selection was varied and good the hot food was lukewarm at best.

This is such a lovely place to stay, the reception team are very attentive and helpful, the rooms, depending upon the time of year you stay, are invariably brilliant, clean and tidy, the breakfast food, always lovely and hot. Disappointed with the state of the driveway, this is the only thing that lets the place down, beyond that, it is superb.

Beautiful location for this hotel next the Worsley Old Hall - the countryside really is the winning feature.
Good gym, Swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna. Food is excellent and drinks are good.
Rooms are nice but dated - I won't go into this as I've learned they're about to undergo a refurb which will hopefully bring it right up to date.
Room sound isolation isn't great - you can hear doors slamming, people talking, loud TVs and people peeing in the bathroom above (or next door?).
for the price I would not expect this.
having said that the beds are typically Marriot style super cosy so with some earplugs you'll have a great sleep.
The security was a bit weak on the room - heavy front door is good, but the back patio door just has a flimsy latch on it.
stayed 8 nights - overall a very comfortable stay, thank you.
