We stayed in this hotel during our visit to the Christmas Market in Bonn. The location of the hotel is great, just opposite the pedestrian area of the inner city. Rooms are OK, good for a night or couple of nights and include a private bathroom and TV. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and helpful. We only did not like the make over of the hotel corridors in black color. It looks cheap, not fitting with a hotel. I guess that middle/dark grey with accents in a brighter and warmer color would be a better choice. Visitors can park their car in the underground garage (at extra cost, advanced reservation recommended), beware that the accessibility for bigger cars might be a bit challenging and parking lots are smallish.

I had a short stay at the hotel but it was very comfortable. You can see the new hotel Belmond is located in an old structure (the sign outside says Hotel Consul), but it seems to me they are slowly working to renovate everything. The lobby is really modern. My single room was instead a bit old, but equipped with everything: a nice desk with a led lamp, the single room was spacious and comfy and the bathroom had all the necessary toiletries including a dental kit and the hair dryer. The staff is really nice and the hotel so centrally located.

Friendly staff trying to accommodate in any way. This is a nice place but don’t expect the ritz for the price your are paying. If you want the ritz then go pay for the ritz.

Good location, friendly staff.
The rooms were OK, slightly uncomfortable beds.
Very noisy and smelly in the corridoor, but things were clean.
Everything painted black, made it very difficult to see anything in the rooms or in the corridoor.
In one of the rooms the aircon and the fridge didn't work so one of our party had to be moved to another room where the TV wasn't working, but it wasn't the end of the world!
Wouldn't be my first choice to stay again.

Good value hotel, interesting choice of décor however quite a bit of damage which is easily visible on black finishes. A little dusty and not the cleanest. Noise from the hallway can easily be heard in the room as there is a gap under the door.

I got the room after one hour from checking in,
The room was very noisy as kids plays in the ground area and the Air Conditioner was not working and I asked to change the room , the other room was not clean and also the Conditioner was not working , the hotel did not have a technician to fix the air conditioner problem and they asked me to wait for tomorrow, the reception always empty , no one on the reception disk you have always to ring the bell and wait untill some one cones, the hotel state is not as the photos , It does not deserve the money, also one light source was not working in the room.

Comfy bed, nice bathroom and clean.
Lots of marks on the walls and chips on the furniture which was not expected.
Check in was quick and luggage storaged was good on departure.
The smoking area was right next to the entrance door which wasn't nice to walk through. Noise in the corridor could be heard in the room.
