Hotel berhampiran The Lagoonarium, Bora Bora

This was the vacation of a lifetime and we want to go back as soon as we can. The views are unbeatable everywhere you look – truly one of the most beautiful places on earth. We stayed in an overwater villa with the mountain view (worth it) and loved every second of it. The resort is large, so we made use of the bikes to get to the Lagoonarium to snorkel. The butlers will get you snorkel gear that you keep for your full stay, and the bikes are labeled with the room number so there is no confusion. The service was as amazing as advertised – the hosts and servers and managers and butlers and front desk workers and housekeepers and every single employee we encountered was friendly, helpful and sincere and somehow learned our names and preferences almost immediately. We had some special requests – refrigerating medication and refreezing ice packs to keep it cool on our return trip – and they handled it for us without hesitation. The rooms were spotless and spacious, with every amenity available either in the room or with a phone call. Our kids stayed in a second villa (which the hotel arranged to have close to us, for which we were very grateful) and when they would stop by to hang out with us there was plenty of room both inside and outside for all of us to be together. There was an empty mini-fridge in the room, which we stocked with some mixers and cold water which came in handy when we just wanted to stay there. We did buy some alcohol in Los Angeles duty free on our way and bought juice and water at the gift shop at the hotel so we could mix our own beverages in the room. They have sunscreen (Sun Bum SPF 50) and aloe on the beach so that eliminates one of the liquids you need to bring on the flight. The only tiny problem was that the butler service did run out of French press for coffee two mornings we were there, which was disappointing, so if you want the French press coffee delivered, schedule ahead. We didn’t want to be held to a sleep schedule so we didn’t book it in advance and missed out. One day they borrowed a coffee press from room service and saved the day, but the second time it happened they had none available. To be fair, if that’s the worst thing you can say about a place, you’re in good shape. Everything else was glorious and (almost) unbelievably beautiful. Highly recommended and would do it all over again.

My partner and I just needed a break from it all and decided to give French Polynesia a try. We also wanted to be pampered at bit, so we settled on the Four Seasons Bora Bora. It's a Four Seasons resort, so it's pricey and we went in expecting a lot. We were not disappointed. We both felt heard, appreciated, and well attended to by Four Seasons staff from our arrival at the airport through our departure. The chat service, in particular, made it a five-star experience. It was like having a personal butler. The spa facilities are a little sp****, and some of the electric lounge chairs in the relaxation area were broken and could not be adjusted. The relaxation area in the spa was also used by a number of guests as a waiting area for the time between checkout and their departure for the airport, so it was not the kind of quiet relaxation area that one might expect to find at a spa. The snacks in the relaxation area were also underwhelming for a Four Seasons. Having said all of that, the fitness center was very well appointed, and my 80-minute massage may have been the best I have ever experienced. And, at the end of the day, who goes to Bora Bora for the spa experience? The food options are limited compared to more urbanized islands like Hawaii, but were better than we expected. The daily breakfast buffet did not change much from day to day, but there was a good variety of fresh fruit and the food was tasty and well-prepared. The omelets and baked goods were particularly delicious! There were two restaurants for dinner options (three during the high season), and there was enough variety in the menus to keep us from getting bored during our five-night stay. Most importantly, peace and quiet prevailed throughout the resort--from the bungalows to the restaurants to the lagoons and pools. We were in search of a break from noise and pace of our work-a-day world, and we found it. There are excursions and activities that can be arranged through the resort, of course, but we really just wanted to lay around and soak up sun and ocean without interruptions, without schedules, without extraneous noise, and without having to make a lot of decisions. We found the perfect spot at the Four Seasons Bora Bora, and will definitely return when we need to find our Zen again.

Conclusion: I was back on Intercontinental Bora Bora Thalasso for 4 nights. It is the perfect 5 star resort - the right place for vacation. Service is great, the food is amazing and the view from resort is can not be better. Also the Villas are really good. I will be back next year. Review: My arrival to the hotel was changed last minut because of the airport strike in Tahiti. I came to Bora Bora by boat instead of the plane, where I took a taxi from the harbour to Intercontinental Le Moana and then the boat to Intercontinental Thalasso. It worked well. Usually you need to take the boat from the airport, which is very easy. The check in was easy - everything was prepared and the staff in the reception was really helpful and serviceminded. Me room was not ready, but I had lunch in the Sands restaurant in the meantime. Check out was very easy as well. No quoe at any time. Because of my Ambassador membership I got an upgrade to a villa with Bora Bora view. The location of the villa was perfect, because it had sun on the balcony all day. The villa is huge and got all, what you need. I had a perfect view on the sea from my bed - a great way to start the day. The villa was clean and the wifi worked really well. I have breakfast in the restaurant every day. The breakfast was really - there is a lot of different kind of food in the buffet. I had lunch and dinner in the Sands restaurant - really great food and great service. The Sands bar has happy hour every day from 5-6 pm, where they serves great cocktail. I did not use the pool area, because I stayed at the sundeck at the villa, where I had direct access to the sea. Many askes about the different between IC Thalasso and IC Le Moana. I stayed at IC Le Moana last year. IC Thalasso is a real 5 star hotel, where IC Le Moana is a 3-4 star hotel. The overwater villas in IC Le Moana is much smaller and more primitive compared to Thalasso. In Thalasso you have more restaurant, fitness center and a much better view. The service on Thalasso is also much better compared to IC Le Moana. I know IC Thalasso is more expensive, but it is worth the money. I will choose IC Thalasso again next year.

A budget hotel with clean comfortable rooms. The reception and dinning are have direct access to a small beach but the rooms are located across the road. The rooms are set in small Blickes of four rooms with 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor. Staff helpfulness is variable depending on whom you encounter. The thing really lets this hotel down is the food. So we signed up for the Polynesian dinner and show and the food was terrible and the show little better. We didn’t have any further dinners there and unfortunately the breakfasts are little better. No toast as toaster not working, cold coffee and pastries which were soft and cold, it’s surprising how they’ve managed to get things to so simple so terribly wrong. The only saving grace is the location as it’s only a 10 minute form The Lucky House Restaurant that serves delicious fresh food. In summary of you’re on a budget that fits this hotel price band then it’s worth a look but I think there may be some better options available.

True good place and the hotel staff were amazing. We felt spoiled every step of the way. From the warm welcome at the airport , the resort tour….Everything was so well arranged

Well. I paid 1800 euro for night, by trip.com and by this platform you cannot reserve with dinner included and you have to know that an average dinner is around 100 euro for person. Sometimes during the dinner there is a show. In the room there are no razor blades, toothbrushes and toothpastes, because these can be found in the boutiques inside the resort at outrageous prices (razor blade 9€) Ok the location is wonderful, the water very clean like all lagoon, and yes, the motus are better than stay on main island. You cannot swim or kayak beyond 30mt from resort. Until now, at the same price are better st.regis and intercontinental thalasso.

Everything was perfect, wonderful service, wonderful food, wonderful beaches.
