Hôtel la Tour Intendance

October 2024: We were not put in the main hotel but in their annex. The room was nothing like the pictures on their website. The shower & surround was full of black mold, the door jamb broken and there were cigarette butts all over the window sills & outlets didn’t work. We asked to move & they said they were full. Their receptionist found us another hotel so we moved. (It was more expensive) We asked for compensation and they offered us breakfast or upgrade on our next visit. Believe me we would never go back. We go to Europe every October and this was the only bad experience we’ve had.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. We had a small room (#10) but it was adequate for 3 nights. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a shower, not a bathtub. It was very clean and it faced the side street, on the 2nd floor (1st floor, European) and it was not near the elevator, so it was fairly quiet. The room was bright and the walls were stone, the same color as most of the buildings in the city. We had breakfast in downstairs. They offered cereal, croissants, breads, and meats and cheeses. The area was lively, with many cafes, coffee shops, chocolate shops and you could get a canelè on EVERY corner! I would suggest leaving this area, sometimes, for a more authentic experience in the city. The trams and busses were easy to navigate and close to the hotel. Purchase rechargeable paper tickets from the machines at tram stops. You could even get to Château Pape Clément by bus or tram for a tour and wine tasting, if you don’t have the time to leave the city.

I am so disappointed with this hotel's booking system and reception staff. I booked one night (August 2022) through their online system. Unfortunately I had to cancel the booking within an hour of making it because of a family emergency. I accessed the confirmation email, clicked on the button ＜＜modify/cancel booking＞＞ and followed the instructions to cancel the booking. A brief message appeared to let me know the booking was cancelled. I thought no more about it. I was then contacted by the hotel reception staff by email. They knformed me of where my key pass would be located to access my room. I immediately responded to inform them their email was an error as I had already cancelled the booking. The staff then informed me it was too late and they had not received a cancellation from me, and my money would be taken. After several emails where I explained that I had not received a cancellation email, but had followed their own process for cancelling the booking, I have heard nothing further. I feel as if the hotel staff believe I am a liar. They were not even prepared to offer an alternative booking date or a credit note. In 30 years of travelling and living in France, Ihave never experienced this lack of support in French hotels before. I do not recommend this hotel.

Très bien situé personnel arrangeant parking à proximité. Je vous recommande vivement cet hôtel avec un excellent petit déjeuner . À proximité des rues commerçantes….Hotel avec du charme…pierres apparentes….un très bon rapport qualité prix.

Horrible, à fuir !! Personnel agressif et maltraité (une employée m’a confiée ne pas avoir été payée depuis plusieurs mois…) passez votre chemin. De plus c’est bien trop cher pour le service désastreux qui est proposé. Mal placé et trop bruyant, il est donc impossible de dormir tranquillement.
