We decided to spend a couple of days in Bournemouth before our heading off to Southampton. We've never stayed in on the south coast before, and it was a very long drive from home (all by motorway). I used my car's built-in Sat Nav to find the hotel, there was some roadworks outside and, but my Sat Nav was able to quickly update the route as we drove an extra mile or two around to find the Hotel. The hotel itself is typical of a Premier Inn, nice friendly staff, comfortable bed, plenty of free car park space. Although it is located on a main road through Bournemouth, we did not hear any traffic noise as the hotel is located behind the restaurant. It is quite a walk from anywhere, as Boscombe was originally a sperate village on the edge of Bournemouth and quite a walk into Boscombe town - a good 20-30mins away, and there's a nice walk down to the beach at Boscombe though a nice planned wooded area. Boscombe town itself appears to be a bit of a dump and is run down. On the Friday after we checked out we walked down to Boscombe beach and headed for Bournemouth itself a few miles away, leaving our car in the car park at the hotel. We ate breakfast in the restaurant next to the hotel and had 1 evening meal there as well. As usual a good choice of food. Don't think we'll travel back to Bournemouth or Boscombe again.
