We stayed 6 nights at the Homewood Suites in Boulder and enjoyed our stay. I had a conference/workshop nearby, we had been travelling for two weeks before and appreciated having a kitchenette to cook from. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The weekday free shuttle within 5 miles is great as we were carless. My husband took advantage of this and hiked the flatirons after being dropped at a nearby park. Daily breakfasts were good, and components changed daily. My husband used the pool and it was nice and clean. Great to have self service laundry. It was the first time I had been to a hotel that arranged weekday social events (movie night on Mondays, social night on Wednesday where beers/wine and nibbles were provided, and staff very chatty and engaging), which I thought was a great idea as this hotel really caters for people travelling for work and longer stay guests. My husband and I would really recommend this hotel. Thanks very much for hosting us!

We are CU Boulder Parents. I so want to love this hotel, I really do. We just stayed here for the first time on Parents Weekend and paid $729 a night/ $822 with fees. For these prices you better deliver a St. Julien experience. It was a mixed bag, and unfortunately not only did we not get the St. Julien, we did not get a normal Marriott experience. We stay at Marriott's a lot (Gold Elite members with their loyalty program). Here's the good and the bad. The Good: 1. Customer Service - Every employee we ran into was very friendly and helpful. 2. Front Desk/combo Bar setup - I have never seen this done before, but it worked for them. 3. Bar - Killer vibe in the hotel's lobby with their indoor/outdoor bar. 4. Bar - I like fine whiskey and these guys had my Weller and Blanton's selections. These are allocated whiskeys, so not easy for a bar to get. 5. Location - You can't beat their location. Right across the street from CU and and easy walk to the football stadium. The Bad: 1. As you walk into the room you are staring straight into a very small bathroom. 2. The rooms. They are horrible. I would compare our room with the CU Boulder dorms, with even less room. I felt like it was my son's freshman year and we were back in Cheyenne Arapaho Hall. 3. TV - the two queen room beds were one after another with a big center divider. The TV was centered on the wall next to them perpendicular to the beds, cut in half by the divider. To watch TV you had to sit sideways across the bed with your back against the wall. Whoever designed this room needs to switch careers. So messed up. 4. No coffee maker. They do have free coffee in the lobby or you can pay for upgraded coffee. 5. No closet, in this room you hang things across the wall. My wife kind of liked this, so maybe only 1/2 a negative. One small drawer under the bed if you want to unpack any items. 6. Very small desk coming off of the wall. 7. These rooms are so uncomfortable, you are literally there to sleep and shower and nothing else. You do not relax in these rooms. 8. Bathroom - They were very cheep on their appointments. An example is the shower base was a prefabricated plastic or fiberglass basin. With a brand new hotel and the cliental that they are targeting, I would have expected something much nicer in the way of natural stone. Shower glass rolled on the prefab base, was very loud. Smoked glass door on main bathroom door. Not much privacy. In summary you will notice that I did not mention their high hotel rates as a negative. We are staying at the Ritz Carleton this weekend in Santa Barbara and normally we stay at the St. Julien in Boulder. I absolutely don't mind paying for quality. This hotel absolutely could have reached the highest of marks. Their owner and designers have let them down. These rooms to me should be priced in the $150, max $200 a night range. They were absolutely price gouging at $729/$822 a night to us for what they delivered. My wife tells me we are not their target audi

Quick visit to see my son at CU and I couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised with this property. Sure, it’s not downtown and there really isn’t much around but all I needed was a clean room with a quick Uber ride to town (5 mins) for a couple of nights. The room was spotless, great Flatiron views, I had a little balcony (2nd floor), great shower and an extremely helpful and pleasant staff. Incredible value. I will be back and highly recommend.

Hotel Boulderado is quaint and cozy. The staff was extremely helpful and so polite. It's in a great location... walkable to shops, restaurants and morning coffee. Plenty of parking (paid parking) available nearby if you don't want to use valet.
