After our car broke down en route to the ferry, we checked in to 2 adjoining family rooms for the night. All the staff were absolutely fantastic - from the happy chap on Reception, to the brilliant bar team who kept us topped up with drinks and snacks while we re-booked ferries and trains. In the morning, the heavens opened and we were given two umbrellas to take with us as we made our way to the train station. Overall, we felt hugely welcomed and looked after by the team at the ibis, through what was a rather stressful event.

We have stayed in a lot of IBIS budget hotels and although they are basic we’ve always found them ok for 1 or 2 night stopovers. This is by far the worst IBIS budget we have stayed in. The room stank - people had clearly been smoking in the room and the bathroom was mouldy and damp. This made spending any time in the room unpleasant. There were cigarette burns in the curtains and the window was broken. The hotel is tired with stains on the carpets. There are signs all over the hotel to say it is forbidden to smoke in rooms - so this is clearly a known issue, but there seems little enforcement of the rules. The worst part however was the attitude of the staff member when we arrived. She was rude and unhelpful. The hotel car park was full and she was not helpful at all in finding another car park - the one that the hotel recommends has a height restriction so we couldn’t use it. Other staff members we spoke to after this were much nicer but unfortunately the reception we received really tainted our whole experience. I wouldn’t recommend using this hotel.

Lovely accommodation to stay overnight in France. Check in was good and the apartment sufficient to meet the needs of two adults and two children. Some building going on immediately beside the property but there was no noise or disruption, other than navigating to the apartments in the first place. Once there, patisserie is close by for breakfast and the town is just across the river via the choice of bridges.
