Hotel berhampiran Kasteel Mishaegen, Brasschaat

We are two women in our late 60's and early 70's, we were checked in after 3. We took the elevator then had to go up 6 or 7 stairs lugging our luggage. We get in our room and it was the size of a closet. I called front desk, I was ready to move hotels. We were moved to bigger room, didn't realize the smell wasn't from room not being used, it smelled like sewer gas. The staff came and smelled the room the next day and said they would give us a new room. This one was acceptable. It looked out at train station and ferris wheel. I asked the evening desk clerk a question about catching a train next day. He was very helpful and told me to stop with my info in morning so he could look at it. When I went down this morning, I was met by a young lady with dark hair and a man, Oliver, I told him I was told to stop by desk. He told me, the train station is over there, go ask them. I found most staff friendly, but Oliver rude. Also, the fact that we had to move rooms 3 times. I don't know that I would stay again.

Pillows are amazing, Wi-Fi really good and staff are one of the nicest I’ve ever met. This centrally located boutique hotel is perfect for business travel, but I’d definitely return for a leisure break. My work schedule changed and to say the team were accommodating is an understatement. In my limited free time I managed to see the central shopping area and visit the very close by old town (highly recommend ). My only ****** is that the menu for just a light snack is fairly limited. As a solo guest, I felt very secure. But for me this hotel was a solid 9/10

The hotel in conveniently located just across from the train station and although the rooms are small, they are nicely decorated. I would give this hotel 5 out of 5, BUT I had to pay to store my luggage and honestly it was the first time I was charged for this. I don’t recommend staying here if you are traveling with a lot of luggage. My room also wasn’t cleaned once during my stay, but that’s ok.

My stay in this modern hotel was good. The check in was smooth. As the rooms are equipped with a system of electronic cards, it can be a bit complicated if your card isn’t activated (that was my case). The lift doesn’t move if your card isn’t activated. The room was standard, with a modern shower. Consider that the room isn’t cleaned every day. In my case, a 2-night stay, the room was cleaned at all. The releasing of “preserving the environment” is a bit too easy. The hotel saves a lot of money, but the price remains the same :-( Breakfast was good, either a variety of continental food.

Great place to stay! Centrally located, easy check-in/out, spotlessly clean (rooms cleaned daily), lovely and helpful staff, and very reasonably priced. We used the lockers on our last day to store our luggage, which was really useful. Will visit here again!

Onze eerdere ervaringen met De Jonckheer waren zeer positief, maar helaas voldeed ons recente verblijf niet helemaal aan onze verwachtingen. Bij het boeken hadden we specifiek gevraagd om een kamer met een tweepersoonsmatras in plaats van twee aparte bedden. Ondanks de vriendelijke ontvangst kregen we echter een kamer toegewezen met twee losse bedden. Toen we dit aan de receptie meldden, kregen we een onvriendelijke reactie vanuit een kantoortje achter de balie, waarbij ons werd verteld dat een upgrade niet mogelijk was omdat ze volgeboekt waren. Dit was teleurstellend, vooral gezien het feit dat we dit verzoek een paar dagen van tevoren al hadden doorgegeven zonder enige tegenreactie. Bij het inchecken werd ons gevraagd hoe laat we wilden ontbijten. We gaven aan rond 09.00u / 09.30u te willen ontbijten, wat genoteerd werd. De volgende ochtend arriveerden we om 09.30u in de ontbijtzaal, maar tot onze verbazing was men al aan het opruimen. Gelukkig deed een attente medewerkster haar uiterste best om ons alsnog van een ontbijt te voorzien, waardoor zij een lichtpuntje werd tijdens ons verblijf. Bij het uitchecken ondervonden we vertraging omdat de receptioniste druk bezig was met een telefoongesprek over een restaurantboeking. Haar communicatie klonk nogal neerbuigend, wat niet bijdroeg aan een positieve ervaring. Een andere gast die wilde inchecken kreeg een formulier toegeschoven met de begeleidende tekst ”Dit invullen”. Wij verbleven in het hotel vanwege de uitvaart van een familielid en hadden dus best wat haast. Helaas werden we niet efficiënt geholpen. Uiteindelijk besloten we dus maar om online uit te checken en vertrokken we zonder enige begroeting van de receptioniste. Samenvattend, hoewel De Jonckheer een heel mooi en comfortabel hotel is waar we graag verblijven, is er duidelijk ruimte voor verbetering, met name op het gebied van klantenservice aan de receptie.

If it wasn't for the fact my room seemed unkempt, this hotel would have been perfect. The bathroom seem to have issues with the plumbing, and the bed sheets were stained. 🤮 I hope it was an isolated case, regardless, unacceptable! Everything else was fantastic, the hotel personal was professional, friendly, and polite. The breakfast was amazing, very good quality buffet (not included). The location was amazing, only 100 meters from the train station (a straight shot to Brussels airport), about a 10 minute walk to Old Town. Shops and good restaurants can be found in the immediate surroundings.

2 rooms connected with a door was a great way to have a group of people of 5 together at all times! Both kitchens had everything you ever needed to make yourself a perfect meal. Oven/Micro, fridge, dishwasher, capsule coffee maker. Fully loaded with tools and dishes! The beds were terrific! Fluffy and smooth. The bathrooms were great, the showers had an overhead faucet and a handheld one. The pressure was perfect. The receptionists were well prepared and very pleasant, and we got all the info for a perfect stay. Only downside with having two rooms was that we couldn't figure out how to make the door between the two rooms open. So we used some clever engineering to solve this issue. We never asked about this issue, because we fixed it with a doorstopper of our own. The price for 3 night stay was very well perfect! Will definitely come back again.

THE BEST HOSTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN . More of a hotel/temporary living space. I found myself distrcted from sightseeing to spend time in the public areas. It was amazing - the decor, the facilities, the books, the communal work table for digital nomads, the compemporary furnishings, the stylish bathrooms, super kitchen ( with named plastic boxes for ythe fridge) plants and flowers, the roof terrace, the internal gardens, the green walls, the extras ( free quality ontap teas/coffees, the towels, the ear plugs etc) , the bicycles for rent and the super efficent and helpful staff. I didin't try the restaurant but the breakfast looked good. . I am looking forward to visiting their new venue in Liege and , when it is open - Brussels

Discovered this brand new hotel near the Central Station. The hotel is intended for longer stays, although I only stayed 1 night. The rooms are studio apartments with kitchenette. My room had a Murphy bed (first time for me) and it was super comfy. The hotel also has really nice gym equipment and I was able to do an interval training on the hi-tech treadmill. For a new hotel, the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. If staying in Antwerp again, I would definitely stay here.
