Hotel berhampiran Rose garden, Brasschaat

We are two women in our late 60's and early 70's, we were checked in after 3. We took the elevator then had to go up 6 or 7 stairs lugging our luggage. We get in our room and it was the size of a closet. I called front desk, I was ready to move hotels. We were moved to bigger room, didn't realize the smell wasn't from room not being used, it smelled like sewer gas. The staff came and smelled the room the next day and said they would give us a new room. This one was acceptable. It looked out at train station and ferris wheel. I asked the evening desk clerk a question about catching a train next day. He was very helpful and told me to stop with my info in morning so he could look at it. When I went down this morning, I was met by a young lady with dark hair and a man, Oliver, I told him I was told to stop by desk. He told me, the train station is over there, go ask them. I found most staff friendly, but Oliver rude. Also, the fact that we had to move rooms 3 times. I don't know that I would stay again.

Pillows are amazing, Wi-Fi really good and staff are one of the nicest I’ve ever met. This centrally located boutique hotel is perfect for business travel, but I’d definitely return for a leisure break. My work schedule changed and to say the team were accommodating is an understatement. In my limited free time I managed to see the central shopping area and visit the very close by old town (highly recommend ). My only ****** is that the menu for just a light snack is fairly limited. As a solo guest, I felt very secure. But for me this hotel was a solid 9/10

Very basic hotel behind the station. Manned front desk. Breakfast available. Decent sized room with small desk and tiny shower. No kettle or tissues.

Great clean hotel whit nice staf and amazing beds. Big shout out to the household the room was really clean. We stayed at the hotel for Tomorrowland the hotel is on an five minute walk from Antwerpen Central station l. We did not used the pool but for an 7 euros extra it was included with towels and bathrobe.

Wij hebben een nacht geboekt. Locatie was goed. Heel mooi hotel, schone moderne kamer met mooi uitzicht. Zwembad/Sauna faciliteiten zoals handdoek enz waren goed. Parkeer was gratis. Wij komen zeker terug. Tip(minpunt): soms is het handig om ook in de winter een ventilator te hebben voor gasten die gebruik van willen maken. Het was net iets te warm op de kamer terwijk de airco op 18 stond.

a very pleasant and well situated hotel. obliging staff ensured an enjoyable visit. a well appointed room that was clean, together with a bathroom that complemented. this is mmy second visit and i have no qualms about recommending it.

2 rooms connected with a door was a great way to have a group of people of 5 together at all times! Both kitchens had everything you ever needed to make yourself a perfect meal. Oven/Micro, fridge, dishwasher, capsule coffee maker. Fully loaded with tools and dishes! The beds were terrific! Fluffy and smooth. The bathrooms were great, the showers had an overhead faucet and a handheld one. The pressure was perfect. The receptionists were well prepared and very pleasant, and we got all the info for a perfect stay. Only downside with having two rooms was that we couldn't figure out how to make the door between the two rooms open. So we used some clever engineering to solve this issue. We never asked about this issue, because we fixed it with a doorstopper of our own. The price for 3 night stay was very well perfect! Will definitely come back again.

THE BEST HOSTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN . More of a hotel/temporary living space. I found myself distrcted from sightseeing to spend time in the public areas. It was amazing - the decor, the facilities, the books, the communal work table for digital nomads, the compemporary furnishings, the stylish bathrooms, super kitchen ( with named plastic boxes for ythe fridge) plants and flowers, the roof terrace, the internal gardens, the green walls, the extras ( free quality ontap teas/coffees, the towels, the ear plugs etc) , the bicycles for rent and the super efficent and helpful staff. I didin't try the restaurant but the breakfast looked good. . I am looking forward to visiting their new venue in Liege and , when it is open - Brussels

Came by the other day and it was a decent experience, although with some bizarre quirks. Booked direct for the ”Executive Family Studio with Kitchen” and the front desk agent printed out a contract with a ”Deluxe Studio.” When I inquired about the difference, another employee quickly chimed in that I ”got upgraded” and my original room had no kitchen?!? As the ”Executive Studio with Kitchen” has kitchen in the name, I inquired a second time, and the employee raised her voice saying that the room was the same?!? A 3rd employee eventually came in, after reviewing their own website, and started talking about the Penthouse suite (completely irrelevant?!?). Attempted to use the laundry room located behind the secure door using my keycard and had to answer 21 questions to the front desk agent with my room number, my full name, and the company I was representing (all with a load of dirty laundry in my arms), which was completely bizarre. At 7 am, the agent claimed that someone on my floor booked a taxi?!? (also completely irrelevant?!?) The studio itself was pretty spacious, although with some quicks. For example, the bathroom was dated, unlike the pictures on the website. More importantly, it was bizarre to have a handheld shower installed on the long side of the bathtub, vs the short side?!? ...also might have been helpful to use a curved shower curtain to make showering less claustrophobic... Water pressure was usable although the shower curtain had a strange smell... Highlights of the studio included the comfortable bed, although slightly lumpy in areas, with quality sheets and towels. The kitchen itself was modern and fully stocked, including 2 bottles of water in the kitchen. The ”welcome gift” appeared to be the 2 dishwashing tablets and manual dishwashing liquid... Booking direct, the confirmation indicated that there would be a ”welcome drink upon arrival” Perhaps the 2 bottles of water in the fridge was it?!? Other anomalies included super dark lighting at night. The lighting was insufficient in the dining area, which made it quite dark to work and read in. There was a freestanding light that helped provide additional lighting in the sleeping area. It was also odd to see that the room number listed on my in room telephone was different from the one on my door?!? The laundry room was complimentary and fantastic! There was also complimentary laundry detergent. A wash takes 2-3 hours and a dry takes 1+ hour. The signage against the wall with instructions on how to use the washing machine didn't match the actual washing machine which was confusing at best...

Onze eerdere ervaringen met De Jonckheer waren zeer positief, maar helaas voldeed ons recente verblijf niet helemaal aan onze verwachtingen. Bij het boeken hadden we specifiek gevraagd om een kamer met een tweepersoonsmatras in plaats van twee aparte bedden. Ondanks de vriendelijke ontvangst kregen we echter een kamer toegewezen met twee losse bedden. Toen we dit aan de receptie meldden, kregen we een onvriendelijke reactie vanuit een kantoortje achter de balie, waarbij ons werd verteld dat een upgrade niet mogelijk was omdat ze volgeboekt waren. Dit was teleurstellend, vooral gezien het feit dat we dit verzoek een paar dagen van tevoren al hadden doorgegeven zonder enige tegenreactie. Bij het inchecken werd ons gevraagd hoe laat we wilden ontbijten. We gaven aan rond 09.00u / 09.30u te willen ontbijten, wat genoteerd werd. De volgende ochtend arriveerden we om 09.30u in de ontbijtzaal, maar tot onze verbazing was men al aan het opruimen. Gelukkig deed een attente medewerkster haar uiterste best om ons alsnog van een ontbijt te voorzien, waardoor zij een lichtpuntje werd tijdens ons verblijf. Bij het uitchecken ondervonden we vertraging omdat de receptioniste druk bezig was met een telefoongesprek over een restaurantboeking. Haar communicatie klonk nogal neerbuigend, wat niet bijdroeg aan een positieve ervaring. Een andere gast die wilde inchecken kreeg een formulier toegeschoven met de begeleidende tekst ”Dit invullen”. Wij verbleven in het hotel vanwege de uitvaart van een familielid en hadden dus best wat haast. Helaas werden we niet efficiënt geholpen. Uiteindelijk besloten we dus maar om online uit te checken en vertrokken we zonder enige begroeting van de receptioniste. Samenvattend, hoewel De Jonckheer een heel mooi en comfortabel hotel is waar we graag verblijven, is er duidelijk ruimte voor verbetering, met name op het gebied van klantenservice aan de receptie.
