This is a serviced apartment very close to the city centre in Bratislava, and it was very reasonably priced. Please note it is not close to the train station (it's about half an hour walk if you want to try) but it's only a short hop away by tram. As it is quite close to the city centre, you can either go there for food or there are lots of restaurants nearby and some of them are quite good as well. The room was big, clean and bright. It has one big window, (mine was away from the street so it looks out to the back but the next building is still quite far away so there is still plenty of sunlight coming through). There is a kitchen and utensils (including a kettle if you want to make coffee or tea). The building has laundry machines that guests can use (I didn't need to use it but I think you do need to pay). The staff speaks very good English and friendly so they can be quite helpful if you have any questions. I didn't need to ask any as my stay here was faultless really. It would definitely be on my one of the choices of place to stay when I'm next in Bratislava. There are some things to note though. You probably won't be able to check in until after 2pm. I arrive early and had to wait for my room to be ready. They do have a luggage storage service free of charge though. I can't remember whether they have daily cleaning but I think they don't have daily cleaning from memory which is fine. I'm not a messy person by nature and I'm not that obsessed with hygiene so it wasn't an issue for me.

The location is great, in the old town area, but not at the centre spot, which gives it a slightly calmer vibe. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean, and I like that there is no carpet in the room. The bathtub had consistently hot water, it was nice. Breakfast was okay, with basic selections for this price range of hotel. The car park has a residence rate for overnight parking, but it doesn't show anywhere; you need to ask the front desk.

Visiting Bratislava for first time. Wedding anniversary so asked if any chance by email of an upgrade. Generously gave us an upgrade to a suite. Mrs T mightily impressed with the room and facilities. Staff all friendly. Breakfast brilliant with lots of choice. Interestingly bread and butter pudding which we think used yesterday croissants and pain a chocs. Absolutely delicious. Had a small issue with the bath tap. Reported and fixed while at breakfast. Fab service. Location very central with bus and tram stops nearby and can walk to old town in 10 mins. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

I stayed two nights in February, the hostel was clean, spacious, light and quite cozy. The hostel feels little bit like a huge flat with many rooms, it has nice and calm/chill atmosphere, I felt there like at home, which I really appreciated. In the big ”living room” there two big tables with chairs (perfect for playing board games), sofa with armchairs and bookshelf with armchair in the corner. In the living room there is always tea/coffee to make, that's very pleasant. There is also a small kitchen, suitable for cooking. Toilets and bathroom were clean and ok. I liked the bed, it was comfortable and didn't make any noise when moving. Rooms are very very spacious. I would like to thank once again to the host, Rado, who was so kind and sent me by a post (for free!) things I forgot in the hostel:)) Next time in Bratislava I'm definitely choosing this hostel again.

This place exceeded expectations in every way. Location (50 metres from the maze of old town cobbled streets), vibe (historic hotel but so comfortable and bathroom for example modern and well fitted out), friendliness of staff, coziness of room, breakfast spread, pillows…zero complaints!! Beautiful lobby to sit and plan the day. When i come back to beautiful Bratislava, there is no question where i’ll stay

My boyfriend & I stayed here for 2 nights during our inter-railing trip. Upon arrival we were given 2 drink vouchers to enjoy at the bar which was very generous. Furthermore, the staff at reception went above and beyond for us. When we got to the next city as part of our trip I realised I had left something in the hotel which was of sentimental value to me. I emailed the hotel & Maros replied within 24 hours to let me know that they could post my item home that I had left behind. The kindness & willingness of the staff to provide this level of customer service was something I was very grateful for & something that has been somewhat lost to an extent in this modern age. Not only this, the hotel itself is lovely & the rooms are extremely spacious which suited us as we had a lot of luggage. Would definitely recommend a stay here whilst in Bratislava!

Overall a good stay. Reception friendly, hotel is a good location and is about a 5 minute walk into the centre. Room a little dated but nothing awful - it was clean, nice hot shower and bed was comfy and large. Would’ve been nice to have plug sockets either side of bed.

The hotel is of a good standard and very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms/apartments were a good size and nicely furnished. The only, but, is that we are 3 ladies over 60. Not only was the walk uphill from the old town quite a challenge, but the hotel car park is a cobbled slope and the entrance to the reception is via 2 sets of stairs one without a handrail. Distance to the old town was not a problem, but the slope getting back was a chore especially in the heat. Definitely don't want to take anything away from how good the hotel is, but think older people or people with mobility issues need to know

Rude and unfriendly service at check in. The hotel was fine in every other respect but having worked in tourism for over 40 years I can honestly say this was the rudest service I have ever experienced. The hotel didn’t have our reservation when we arrived but we showed the man who came out of the kitchen our papers. He couldn’t have cared less. Disappeared off. Came back with his lunch. When we pointed at our luggage to indicate the tour operator knew we were supposed to be there he replied ‘that’s nice’ in the most sarcastic way. When we asked where to put our bikes he marched outside and pointed down the street. It could have been in the Roman museum for all I could tell. This man is no doubt the Basil Fawlty of the Austrian hotel industry. But not in a good way!

Best hotel in centre of Bratislava. We were very pleased with the location of this hotel since it's literally behind presidential palace (what I believe is heart of the city). Historical part is 5-7 mins. walk, train station is 2 bus stops from presidential palace and to go to walk alongside the Danube river it was beautiful. There are many restaurants in city centre and right next to the hotel is a small grocery shop. Hotel is very modern and new, the staff was very nice and helped us when we needed. Girl on reception knew also russian/ukrainian which was nice to see. Hotel as well as room themselves were very clean and everything is proveded. They even have washing machine, dishwasher and kitchen in apartments! It was very convinient for us! We are looking forward to come back on our visit of Bratislava! Thank you Metropolitan Star hotel!

Very nice hotel, clean, friendly staff and the view from the restaurant amazing. Rooms are clean, hotel is situated close to city center. Advantage is also that it is located adjacent to shopping center but it is still quiet. I can only recommend.

NNadiiaThe location of the hotel is good. The room is clean and has everything I needed. The service is also good. But there were problems with hot water in one room. So I asked an employee named Alicia to help me solve this issue or change the room. But Alicia began to be rude and said that the water was not so cold and I could take a shower. But the water temperature was really cold. I was surprised. As a result, our number was changed, but only after conflict.

The room is very tiny, but its really stylish and very cosy. I really love the design of the room and bathroom too. It was very clean. And I looooved that you could pick from 3 different variations of pillows. Actually the whole hotel has pretty great design and ”coming home” feeling. Haven seen hotels pool and sauna but its definitely big plus point. The location isn't perfect, but its quite ok, by walk 15-20min you can reach pretty much everything important. And now to the things I didn't like - I must say staff - from four and half star hotel I would really expect more. Girl who was working at night shift was sweet and helpful, but young man who was there the rest of my stay behaved almost pissed that I came to their hotel, wasn't very helpful, never smiled...I was very shocked. I know that not every day is a good day, but if you work with people in almost 5 star hotel, you just need to have certain way of behaviour. The internet didn't work at all, which I think its absolutely inadmissible in 4 and half star hotel. The IC didn't work either, the switcher was broken. The worst of all was that the main door to the room is paper thin and you can hear people breath on the hall or even in the next room. When I stayed there some other guest had party on the hall and later on in their rooms until 4am and its was absolutely NOT OK for such an exclusive hotel! So even there was nice bed, mattress, bed sheets....the sleeping quality was almost zero! I would highly recommend to change the main doors to the room to a soundproof ones.

GGuide14306323160when walking in the entrance you automatically feel welcome. The placement of the hotel is ideal for taking in all the sights by foot. the room was nice clean and tidy and the coffee machine a bonus. As hotels go, its a plesant hotel. The thing that I found empressive and stood out to me was the staff, especially the hard working girls in the breakfast room. They deserve a medal!! very attentive and efficient at keeping the breakfast enviroment clean and tidy and paying attention to their clients... Just for these hard working girls the hotel gets full marks from me. often a good hotel is let down by its staff, not here!! well done staff...

4-16-2022 This is a nice hotel nestled in the neighborhood of Bratislava on the hill. My room had a Garden which was beautiful. The views of the local neighborhood and the Bratislava Castle sitting on the hill was a night sight in the evening and especially in the morning. The property and the neighborhood was very quite. So you will rest well. Bratislava central station is only a mile away. The slavin monument is up the hill a half a mile away. Old town is short walk down the hill as well. The room was very clean and cozy. I would stay their again.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaThe hotel was good, but it feels a bit overpriced as I booked even better one for the same price in Vienna, which is a contrast city in terms of the price. Gentleman at the reception was friendly. Bear in mind that the hotel will charge additional city tax when you move in. The hotel itself was more less clean, but the room was not spotlessly cleaned to be honest. I had some hair on the soap dispenser and some threads in the bath. The bed was a bit small and short, furniture was slightly damaged. The door had old post soviet style of faux leather Ron top and I was wondering why… I woke up at the middle of the night from the screams of the children that were so loud in the corridor for some reason. The sound insulation is not good at all there sadly and the fabric door did not really help. The hotel has nice authentic lobby which reminds a Soviet porch with Persian carpets. I booked 1 month in advance for 26th of December and paid $68, which I think is overpriced, considered the quality and space of the room. If it was cheaper, I’d have given more starts for this review. It is ok for one night if you just come and fall asleep. Hotel needs renovation.

Don’t be deceived by the photos! The only positive thing we can say about this hostel is the bar downstairs with the evening activities. The main entertainment man was lovely and very welcoming, whilst the other staff looked at us as if we had 10 heads most of the time. We were inter-railing and this was the worst hostel we had been in. Despite there being free washing use, which was great, the dryers were horrendous and left our clothes wet for ages, and boiling hot (untouchable) leaving our room almost as a laundrette. The hostel was at the end of an alley way, so didn’t feel particularly safe, as well as the doors to the room not being great(with force, you could probably barge the door down with body weight). The bedsheets were stained and bobbled and so were the pillows. The showers were small and gross, with hair bunged up around the plug hole. The beds also creaked like mad and the fan was something from the 90s which puffed out less than a breath of air! I would only recommend this hostel if you were desperate and in need of a central hostel in Bratislava- but wouldn’t recommend if you were looking for a safe, clean room!
