This place was a dream. Jia & Tong are lovely people with good taste. Travelling on my own and having little idea of what to do in the area (due to lacking Chinese language skills), Jia was super helpful with recommendations and arrangements. I only had one day but he managed to make arrangements in such a way that I saw another beautiful old Dong village that wasn’t too touristy as well as the stunning rice-field sunset. I felt like I could even just spend the day watching the view from the balcony whilst drinking the amazing tea. But instead I had a great day and even rounded it off chatting in great company and trying some local drinks. The local people are creative, super friendly and some have a great sense of humour ;) I’ve hardly ever felt so taken care of, so safe, and with so much fun. All the amenities are high quality, the sheets felt like 100% cotton (which is very rare across China I found!) The designs are great using local materials. And yes, the bath is great too! I forgot to ask for local shopping recommendations, which I am sure they must have as they have some beautiful items in the rooms and in the social area. I very much hope to visit again soon. It feels like an area and a place full of people I would love to get to know better.

The hotel is great, and the English speaking owner is very attentive! The hotel is located at the edge of the town with greatly helps with the feeling of being in a traditional village (many other hotels are directly on the Main Street which feels artificial and touristy). When booking, don’t forget to message the owner via the platform as they arrange pick up from the train station!! Thank you for a warm and comfortable stay !

We had an incredible stay at the hotel. The location is perfect with incredible views over the fields. It is also 2 minutes walk to the best restaurants and sites of Zhaoxing. The staff was so kind to us, giving us a better room to accommodate us traveling with a baby. They organised all transport in amazing cars and we're always there to help us and give us recommendations on Zhaoxing. They even organised a driver to deliver our forgotten items to the translation after we checked out. The food for breakfast is also fresh and delicious with a lovely view. The rooms are big, luxurious and very new. I recommend this hotel highly to anyone traveling to Zhaoxing, you will not find a better hotel especially with the kinder staff. Thank you so much!

Without a doubt, this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced. Its prime location in the Center of the village with a wonderful view on the old houses , and the rooms are impeccably clean. The service is amazing , drinks at the entry, wash clothes, breakfast … everything is really perfect but what truly stood out was the incredible kindness of the staff. They helped organize everything and provided a breakfast box as I was I left too early in the morning. I totally recommend this place and this village has been definitely one of the main highlights of my 20 days trip in china :)

One of the highlights is the generous offering of complimentary natural produce, including fresh local fruits and vegetables, which adds a thoughtful and authentic touch to the stay. The breakfast is both healthy and delicious, featuring a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. What truly sets this hotel apart is its people. Every member of the team is exceptionally warm, welcoming, and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure guests feel at home. The complimentary shuttle service to the town center is another wonderful convenience, making it effortless to explore the area. Overall, the combination of beautiful surroundings, thoughtful amenities, and outstanding hospitality made our stay both enjoyable and memorable.

The Creekside Inn has modern, elegantly designed rooms (I can’t emphasize that enough), a very good location with beautiful views, and a friendly, capable staff, that truly goes out of its way to be helpful— all of this at quite favorable prices. The water is hot and the bed is heated for winter in the mountains. I stayed four days, and would’ve stayed longer had I had time, just because I felt so wonderfully at home there. I left with plans to return with my wife next year. English spoken. Oh，and I got a splendid breakfast tailored to my individual dietary requirements! I have visited 35 countries and traveled all over China, and I have never been happier with my accommodations anywhere!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming guesthouse. Mr. Lu, the owner, is incredibly kind and welcoming. He truly goes above and beyond for his guests. He even arranged a driver for us to visit nearby villages and personally accompanied us during the visits, which made the experience even more special and authentic. He also picked us up from the train station and dropped us off there, which was very much appreciated. His wife is also very warm and friendly, and together they create a lovely, home like atmosphere. The breakfasts were delicious, and the location of the hotel is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The only small downside was that we happened to visit during a period of construction, so our room had a view of the works. However, this was just bad timing and did not take away from our overall experience. As a memorable highlight, Lu played and sang a traditional Dong song for us, which was absolutely magical and something we will never forget. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a genuine and heartfelt stay.

Extremely clean, with the most comfortable beds I’ve had in China. Great value for money – clean bathrooms, lovely wooden rooms. The hostess is a wonderfully kind and helpful lady, and it really feels like a homestay, but with hotel-level quality.

The hotel accepts foreigners. The room doesn't have a key or card; you need a password instead. It's likely the same password for every room, as some children entered our room as if it were their own. The rooms are clean. They use bath foam instead of body wash. Breakfast is limited to noodles, boiled eggs, and steamed buns.

Highly recommend! We stayed here in April with our kids and everything about Zhaoxing Dong village and this hotel is so heartwarming and memorable! A trip we will remember forever! The owner is from Yunnan. He and all the staff are incredibly helpful, kind and friendly! Communication was clear before we arrived. They messaged us on WeChat and picked us up from the train station and brought our luggage to the hotel. The breakfast lady makes the most delicious soup noodle every morning and the hami melon is so sweet! Breakfast is served on the rooftop and the view in the morning is so serene as the town is still quiet. The hotel was even were so kind to make a bowl of soup noodle when our kids were not feeling well one evening. And the breakfast lady personally walked me to a local shop that sells handmade herbal shampoo to help promote healthy hair! I was so moved by her friendliness to share the towns local best kept secrets. There is a free green shuttle that picks up every few blocks within the town: this was very handy when traveling with kids who get tired from walking easily.
