This place was a dream. Jia & Tong are lovely people with good taste. Travelling on my own and having little idea of what to do in the area (due to lacking Chinese language skills), Jia was super helpful with recommendations and arrangements. I only had one day but he managed to make arrangements in such a way that I saw another beautiful old Dong village that wasn’t too touristy as well as the stunning rice-field sunset. I felt like I could even just spend the day watching the view from the balcony whilst drinking the amazing tea. But instead I had a great day and even rounded it off chatting in great company and trying some local drinks. The local people are creative, super friendly and some have a great sense of humour ;) I’ve hardly ever felt so taken care of, so safe, and with so much fun. All the amenities are high quality, the sheets felt like 100% cotton (which is very rare across China I found!) The designs are great using local materials. And yes, the bath is great too! I forgot to ask for local shopping recommendations, which I am sure they must have as they have some beautiful items in the rooms and in the social area. I very much hope to visit again soon. It feels like an area and a place full of people I would love to get to know better.

Without a doubt, this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced. Its prime location in the Center of the village with a wonderful view on the old houses , and the rooms are impeccably clean. The service is amazing , drinks at the entry, wash clothes, breakfast … everything is really perfect but what truly stood out was the incredible kindness of the staff. They helped organize everything and provided a breakfast box as I was I left too early in the morning. I totally recommend this place and this village has been definitely one of the main highlights of my 20 days trip in china :)

Beautiful hotel with great views of the village from every room. The staff is very friendly and helpful and some of them speak English. Communication was great via Wechat throughout our stay. They helped us book transfers and recommended a nice restaurant in town where we had one of our best meals in China.

Before arriving, the homestay stafd took the initiative to contact me via Wechat so that they can arrange for transport to bring us from the train station to the hotel. This hotel is located inside Zhaoxing Ancient Village so do purchase the entrance tickets beforehand. The hotel is located towards the end of the village and our room is facing a small paddy field. It is very convenient to move around as it is only 5-10 minutes walk to the bus station if you want to take the shuttle bus to Tang'An Rice Terrace. It is also about 5-10 minutes walk to the centre of the village where you can find food and other necessities. The staff is very considerate- they will message me on wechat to ask what we prefer for breakfast so that they can prepare the noodles and coffee for us by the time we want to go down for breakfast. They can also deliver the breakfast to your room if you prefer. The beds are very comfortable although the pillows can be a bit harder and will be good to have more hooks in the bathroom for guests to hang their towels and clothes before showering. All in all, would highly recommend this homestay. Thank you for the hospitality!

Every member of the team is exceptionally warm, welcoming, and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure guests feel at home. The complimentary shuttle service to the town center is another wonderful convenience, making it effortless to explore the area. Overall, the combination of beautiful surroundings, thoughtful amenities, and outstanding hospitality made our stay both enjoyable and memorable.

The Creekside Inn has modern, elegantly designed rooms (I can’t emphasize that enough), a very good location with beautiful views, and a friendly, capable staff, that truly goes out of its way to be helpful— all of this at quite favorable prices. The water is hot and the bed is heated for winter in the mountains. I stayed four days, and would’ve stayed longer had I had time, just because I felt so wonderfully at home there. I left with plans to return with my wife next year. English spoken. Oh，and I got a splendid breakfast tailored to my individual dietary requirements! I have visited 35 countries and traveled all over China, and I have never been happier with my accommodations anywhere!

Very lovely stay ! The hotel location is super near the centre while remaining calm. We were given an upgrade for free and the breakfast was very good and varied Room is big and clean Super convenient pickup at the train station and the host is available for info whenever We’ll come back there :))

這次貴州行，肇興侗寨是我們最後一站。本來是在其他平台預訂了信團鼓樓附近的民宿，看到網上的攻略説去到衞生院才有交通車到高鐵站，又帶着孩子，隊友的手受傷了不方便拿行李，我怕一個人做事的時間有限，距離有點遠，馬上退了。 攜程推薦給我這個民宿，大致瀏覽了一下評論，老闆是廣東人，會提供攻略，交通方便，毫不猶豫預訂了。出發前一天加了微信聯繫老闆，老闆也耐心解答我的問題，給我發了攻略。 22號早上10點下了高鐵之後，按照老闆的指引坐交通車真的是直達店門口，省去我搬行李的麻煩。由於我們到店的時間太早，老闆熱情招待我們先寄存行李，再用地圖給我們詳細介紹寨區路線，指引我們先去主街區。 晚上回來取房卡入住時，發現我的行李已經被老闆搬上去了，服務周到！一進門看到那些床品，好温馨，不在是單調的白，重點是廁所沒味道，還有半乾濕區，門口放了吸水墊防滑，這是比較細心的一個行為，有些大酒店都沒這樣好的小細節。房間還配備茶具歎茶。 我們訂的雙床房還是有很大的活動空間，靠窗還可以看到寨門，美麗的油菜花，早上起來可以呼吸新鮮空氣，晚上還是看煙花極好的觀景台！店裡還養了貓，我家小孩最愛擼貓，這次也是訂到她的心坎上了。這裏還有很大的晾曬區，可以洗衣服晾衣服，還不用擔心做完的蠟染扎染作品未乾透而沒地方晾曬了。 最後回程也是聽老闆的安排，幫我們叫了景區交通車，直接店門口上車，順順利利到達高鐵站。這次去侗寨下雨了有點可惜，有些節目活動沒參加到，下次有機會再去侗寨還選這裏住。 第一次寫這麼多點評，是真心覺得的遇到了好老闆，住上了好的民宿，為老闆點贊！

I had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zhaoxing Dong Village. The owner was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the village, shared excellent sightseeing tips, and recommended some of the best local restaurants, which made my trip much more enjoyable. To my surprise, she also gave me a complimentary upgrade to a larger room. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is another huge advantage. The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of Zhaoxing Dong Village, making it easy to arrive with luggage and begin exploring the village right away. What truly made this stay exceptional was her genuine hospitality. She went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. If you’re looking for a comfortable stay with outstanding service, local recommendations, and a convenient location, I highly recommend staying here. Thank you for making my visit so memorable!

Highly recommend! We stayed here in April with our kids and everything about Zhaoxing Dong village and this hotel is so heartwarming and memorable! A trip we will remember forever! The owner is from Yunnan. He and all the staff are incredibly helpful, kind and friendly! Communication was clear before we arrived. They messaged us on WeChat and picked us up from the train station and brought our luggage to the hotel. The breakfast lady makes the most delicious soup noodle every morning and the hami melon is so sweet! Breakfast is served on the rooftop and the view in the morning is so serene as the town is still quiet. The hotel was even were so kind to make a bowl of soup noodle when our kids were not feeling well one evening. And the breakfast lady personally walked me to a local shop that sells handmade herbal shampoo to help promote healthy hair! I was so moved by her friendliness to share the towns local best kept secrets. There is a free green shuttle that picks up every few blocks within the town: this was very handy when traveling with kids who get tired from walking easily. Thank you for a personal and heartwarming stay! ❤️❤️
