This was such a wonderful spot! Our room was spacious and had a nice living room area to read and have tea, with views overlooking the river. The room was a traditional design but all the facilities were very modern. My son really enjoyed the self-closing blinds and ”smart” toilet! Breakfast was wonderful - you would order from the menu the night before and they would bring it either to your room or to one of the common spaces on each floor with tables. We had a larger group so eating each morning in the common space was really nice. And the location was really good because you were just across the street from the old town area, but it was quiet at night and the bridge was blocked from entering cars so it was quiet but accessible. We caught taxis just across the bridge on the main road. Our room was very clean and whenever we returned the staff had replaced water, snacks, and tea so we felt very well taken care of! The lobby was quite big with a sitting area, koi pond, and the sweetest fluffiest cat. Very nice and we highly recommend staying here!

I absolutely loved my stay here! This is easily one of the best boutique hotels I’ve stayed at. The location is perfect, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed. What impressed me the most was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure guests had a great experience. They were always proactive, welcoming, and ready to help with a smile, which made the stay feel extra special. You can really tell they care about their guests. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back the next time I’m in town!

This has to be on of the best hotels I’ve ever visited! Christian’s hotel is modern, bright, scrupulously clean and with all the mod cons you could ask for, but their real claim to fame has to be the staff. Many hotels claim their staff are there to give guests a good experience - but at this hotel they really are! At every level, staff went out of their way to check everything was OK for me, put right any issues, and actively look for ways to please me. Examples are: 1) when I dropped coffee at breakfast the girl who came to help wouldn’t start cleaning the mess until she’d made sure I hadn’t been scalded or stained my clothes, 2) my toothpaste was near it’s end - I returned to find a ‘tube squeezer’ to help empty it, 3) I travel with medication and returned to find a very useful pill box put next to the packets! All fairly small gestures, but they demonstrate how the staff go out of their way for their guests. The food at breakfast was of top quality, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. My only disappointment was that I had to move on to another city - I would have preferred to stay at Christian’s for longer!!

THIS HOTEL tooooo amazing, their building mix culture, so huge and their service was toppp.. will be back to this hotel if i back to luoyang, they have shuttle car free to longmen and west street no complaint.. their breakfast and restaurant for dinner food so tast

Firstly the reason why my wife and I decided on this boutique hotel was to sample the overall standard of the new crop of small locally operated boutique hotels springing out over China. Generally happy with our choice and decision. We were greeted upon checking in and daily when we went out and coming back by the young man who was managing the establishment. A great personal touch was that he actually came out of his office and greeted us at the courtyard with a ready smile. Location was good as it was relatively near to Longmen Grotto and also the famous lamb soup for breakfast (we were given complimentary vouchers for our first day breakfast by the hotel. Although the place was across the road from the hotel, we had to walk about 1.1km each way as the crossing could only be made at the traffic light zebra crossing. One ”romantic” feeling my wife and I had was hearing the low rumbling of the freight train transversing across the hotel. It reminded us of staying in the English countryside and hearing the train in the distance. Light sleepers might find this distracting but we are h eavy sleepers. Another selling point of this hotel was the well manicured courtyard planted with lots of different varieties of flowering plants and trees. It was an excellent place for us to relax in the late afternoon after some heavy sightseeing. The only downside and hopefully the hotel operator can improve is that the floor of the room seems to be a bit dusty because the floor towel in the washroom started to show stains of dust. However, everything else is clean especially the important items like bedding and towels. Strawberries were bought after visiting Erlitou Archaeological Museum and Site

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Everything was absolutely perfect. The decor is beautiful and stylish, and the entire hotel is extremely clean. The staff speaks a bit of English, but most importantly, they were incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready to assist us. They arranged our transfers to and from the train station, booked a restaurant for us by calling in Chinese, and even helped us organize a private driver for a day trip — everything was perfectly taken care of! We also had dinner at the hotel, and it was delicious, with impeccable service. Breakfast was amazing too, with a huge variety of high-quality options. Truly, compliments to the entire team — highly recommended!

Fantastic hotel to stay at if you'd like to see the Grottoes. It is 500m from the entrance, and just at the end of the beautiful bridge area. We booked the Family Suite and it was a huge apartment with plenty of room and a very nice outdoor balcony. The staff were helpful and friendly and they provided a free car to the high speed rail at the end. Absolutely recommend.

We had a very pleasant 4 night stay at the Banshan Siji Hotel in Luoyang. The resort is beautiful and secluded, away from all of the hustle and bustle of downtown Luoyang while remaining accessible. The location is very convenient to the high speed rail station, Longmen Grottoes, Guang Lin Temple and Peony Museum. It’s a bit further away to get to White Horse Temple, Lintang Gate and Luoyi Ancient City. However, the hotel offers a very convenient and comfortable private shuttle for train/airport transfer and a daily trips to or from town. Above all, I have to commend the team at this hotel for their excellent service and extremely friendly attitude. Everyone went out of their way to offer assistance for any of our needs and always with a smile. A huge bonus - they offered a complementary same-day laundry service which we used several times during our stay taking care of a major hassle on extended travels. From the reception, front desk, porters, drivers and housekeepers, we received top notch service rivalling hotels we’ve stayed at worldwide. The breakfast also deserves special mention. The selection was not as extensive as buffets at some major hotels but the quality was excellent and we found it to be more than enough to start each day before sightseeing. In addition to a small self serve area, you can order large bowls soup or noodles and they also provide a beautiful tray of delicacies. We very much enjoyed each day’s breakfast. Finally, the room we stayed in, with a private hot spring tub and private patio was spacious, clean, modern and beautiful. We enjoyed use the tub after full days of sightseeing to ease aching muscles and the bed was very comfortable. On our final night, we did experience a problem with a light switch not turn lights but the staff were quick to provide us another room so we could get to sleep. Another great example of their dedication to quality service. Overall, I was very pleased to have discovered this beautiful gem in Luoyang and it made our visit to this wonderful city that much more special and memorable.

Our stay at Marriott was great: the room was clean and spacious with view on the lake, the breakfast was delicious, with Asian and European food. The service was really 5 star and the concierge service, with Mr. John Zhang (really fluent in English), went far beyond our expectations: he booked for us a lot of attractions, organized the private driver and helped us with any little issue we had, from language difficulties to ticket entrance problems, really caring about us. A great thank you, you made our stay the perfect one.

Where should I begin. The hotel is fantastic. When you arrive you are greeted by friendly staff and a cup of tea while finishing check-in. The room was amazing overlooking the lake. The room was huge and had a great shower and bath with great views. The stay included breakfast that had a huge variety of food and drinks. With your stay you can use the next door fitness and 50 meters swimming pool and the sauna, hot bath and showers. I would recommend staying at this hotel when staying in Luoyang!
