We spent 3 nights at Luo Han Lin Hotel, perched high in the mountains of the Luo Han Lin range, and honestly? It was exactly the kind of escape I didn't know I needed. 📍 Location & Vibe: Nature's Own Air Conditioning The hotel sits at about 1900 meters above sea level, deep within a forest that covers 98% of the surrounding area. Summer temperatures hover between 18°C–25°C (64°F–77°F)—no AC needed, even in August. The air is so clean it almost tastes sweet. 🛏 The Room: Waking Up Inside a Painting: I booked a family room, and the massive wraparound balcony was the real showstopper. Every morning, I'd step out to see clouds rolling through the valley below, with the sunrise painting the ridges in gold and pink. Evenings were just as magical—sunsets that turned the sky into a slow-burning fire. The room itself was modern and well-thought-out: smart controls, excellent water pressure, a spacious walk-in shower, and that crisp mountain chill seeping in at night. It feels less like a chain hotel and more like a quiet gallery in the clouds. --- 💁 Service & Amenities: Warmth in Every Detail From check-in to check-out, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. Housekeeping was thorough and unobtrusive. There's also a small gym, a quiet reading lounge, and a kids' play area—so it works for couples, solo travelers, and families alike. Parking is free and spacious, which is great if you're driving up. --- 🍽 Food: Start Your Morning with a Spicy Kick Breakfast was surprisingly good—lots of fresh options, but the standout was the local Xuyong-style noodles: chewy, spicy, numbing, and absolutely addictive. For lunch and dinner, the hotel kitchen serves solid Sichuan cuisine with locally sourced ingredients. --- 📸 Nearby Gems Worth the Walk · Luzhou Peak Viewing Platform (~1 km walk) – sunrise and sea of clouds, hands down --- ⚠️ A Tiny Heads-Up If you're staying on the ground floor, keep the screen door closed—mountain ecology is very active, and a few friendly bugs might wander in at night. If that bothers you, ask for an upper floor when booking. --- Final Verdict: These 3 nights felt like a full system reboot. If you're looking for a summer getaway that's actually cool, quiet, and surrounded by nothing but green peaks and drifting clouds—Luo Han Lin Hotel is worth every mile of the drive up. I left with a full camera roll, clear lungs, and a much calmer mind. 👉 Would I go back? Yes, Without hesitation.

I enjoyed very much my stay at Luhu Hotel. The hotel is situated in a pleasant residential neighborhood, close to a large park. My room was simply but tastefully furnished and looked out over the hotel's attractive grounds with a large pond and many trees and shrubs that create an intimate feel; there are a number of birds, and one day I saw a kingfisher. Breakfast offered a plentiful range of options. The staff were very nice. Would definitely stay there again.

Saya menginap di Hotel Lavande dalam perjalanan perniagaan dan mempunyai pengalaman yang hebat. Apabila tiba di hotel, wanita meja depan menghidangkan teh dengan penuh semangat, mendaftar masuk dengan cepat, dan memperkenalkan pelbagai perkhidmatan dengan penuh perhatian. Bilik itu bersih dan kemas, hiasannya moden dan hangat, peralatan tempat tidurnya selesa, dan saya mendapat tidur malam yang nyenyak. Terdapat juga snek tengah malam dihantar ke bilik pada waktu malam, dan pelbagai sarapan pagi juga kaya, yang sangat disyorkan.

Its quite far from the town. We booked normal room but got upgraded for free, what a courtesy. Really enjoyed my stay here and my baby enjoyed showering in the bath tub a lot. There was a “xiaodu” smart device but it speaks only chinese. Its okay. Overall, good stay!

Had an amazing experience with this hotel room. It was very high quality, very clean, and very big. I was even able to enjoy a spa in the bathroom. The living room and dining room were very large. The price of the presidential suite was also not bad at all. The staff were very friendly and helped me out whenever I asked. The free breakfast was quite a nice touch. The location was close to all the major sections of the city I wanted to visit Overall, wonderful experience

性價比高，有需要及時響應，而且還獨棟酒店，配有停車場和充電樁，早上還有早餐提供，睡覺的床鋪也很舒服。下次來走親戚，還會再住。

Pros: Close to the supermarket plaza and many street food outlets. Staff tried their best to serve you. Cons: Despite its name, railway station isn't that close. You need to take a taxi (or walk 30 minutes). Check-in process for foreigners will be very tiring (we had to wait 40 minutes in hotel lobby with extremely tired two kids, being questioned by staff about many things. We were asked 'why did you visit here', I thought this is a very ride question. Hotel should welcome guests instead of interrogating them especially when they're super tired after a long day. I'm not blaming the staff as they seem to be doing what they were told to do (protocol I suppose). But we didn't face such interrogating in any of the other hotels in China so I'm not sure why. Another inconvenience, the laundry facility doesn't have a dryer.. We ended up with a load of wet clothes after using the washing machine.. So be aware.

I'm so glad I chose to stay at this fantastic new hotel! The modern amenities were exactly what I needed, and the staff were warm and welcoming. They really made an effort to ensure I had a great stay, and I appreciate that kind of service.

The hotel is fairly fine, very spacious, it has vintage vibes. It’s old but comfortable. The bed was very hard, and it was very noisy, there’s a grandma that was always shouting and screaming at whomever, the cars as well can be disturbing but only if you are a sensitive sleeper like me. I enjoyed the Chinese breakfast, I hope they can add juice because not everyone drinks milk, since is the only option. There’s no iron so it’s best you come with yours, because some of my clothes needed to be ironed. The hotel is affordable, I stayed for 3 nights.

It was absolutely fabulous! Breakfast was diverse and tasty, the room was cleaned and spacious, and the hotel was in walking distance of monuments, perfectly placed for a nice walk. All the workers there were friendly and very helpful, would absolutely go back 10/10🙂↕️🫶🏼
