Overall, I had a great stay at this resort. The location and service were excellent. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. There was also a golf cart shuttle available to pick up and drop off guests at the pier, which made arriving and leaving very convenient. The resort also offers motorbike rentals for 300 THB per day, which is a great option for exploring the island. The bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, making the room cozy and relaxing. The only downside was the bathroom. It had a very strong musty smell throughout my stay, and it was quite unpleasant. If the resort could find a way to improve the ventilation or eliminate the odor, it would make the experience much better because everything else was wonderful. One more thing I loved was the adorable resort dog! It was very friendly and came over to keep us company while we were eating. I think he was hoping for some food 😂, but he was such a sweet, chubby dog that made our stay even more memorable. There were also a few kittens that came to visit us outside our room. They were incredibly cute and friendly. They looked like stray cats because they were very skinny, so we bought some cat food for them. They finished all of it right away and looked so hungry. It was heartbreaking to see, but they were absolutely adorable and made our stay even more special. I would definitely recommend this resort, and I hope the bathroom odor issue can be improved in the future.

Perfect getaway for a couple days, to be in the quiet and beautiful place. Deluxe rooms look new and modern, and personal roof terrace for each room makes the stay comfortable and relaxing. Soft sunbeds on the terrace and roof, covering from direct sun, let us stay at the place the whole day - we even did not go to the beach one day. We had the beautiful seaview from our terrace and we even could swim in the sea from the hotel’s private pier (it has usable ladder, which goes directly to the deep water). The staff was really kind and attentive, helped us with all our “specific” requests. If you stay here for the New Year night - it’s also the perfect place to watch the main island’s fireworks show at midnight! We enjoyed it! Absolutely recommended!

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, there are several issues with the management system that need improvement. First, regarding room cleaning procedures: at most hotels and accommodations, the front desk keeps a spare key or key card so housekeeping can access rooms for cleaning when guests are out. At this property, guests are required to hang their room key outside the door until housekeeping finishes cleaning, sometimes as late as 2:00 PM. This is a serious security concern because anyone could potentially access the room while the key is left unattended outside. Second, if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay with good soundproofing, this hotel may not be the best choice. Noise from outside the room is easily heard throughout the day and night. Last night, shortly after midnight, I was awakened by a very loud group of people. When I went outside to investigate, I saw a group of guests drinking in the restaurant area located directly next to my room. The noise was so loud that I could not sleep. I politely asked why the restaurant was still open, as I had been informed during check-in that it closed at 10:00 PM. The guests told me that a staff member had opened the restaurant for them. I then politely asked them to lower their voices because my room was right next to the restaurant. I do not blame the guests at all. The responsibility lies with the hotel staff, who allowed the restaurant to be used after midnight despite the clearly stated closing time of 10:00 PM. Areas for improvement: 1. Guest safety and security — Guests should not be required to leave their room keys hanging outside their doors for housekeeping. 2. Enforcement of hotel policies — If the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM, that rule should be consistently followed. Future guests staying in rooms near the restaurant should not have to endure loud noise until 1:00 or 2:00 AM as I did. Overall, the hotel has potential, but better management and stricter adherence to its own policies would greatly improve the guest experience.

We stayed on Koh Larn for two nights after a long time in Pattaya and before heading back to Bangkok.  Samanta by the Sea was a great find, and we enjoyed our stay very much.  The room was a great size, and it was even better that the hotel was only 5 min (walking) from the pier.  We were greeted by the owner and shown around. His friendliness and happiness were astonishing and so genuine. Getting free noodles, bread, and coffee 24/7 was a lovely touch, too.  We can only recommend Samanta by the Sea and will stay here heapily again. 

The hotel is pretty small and simple. Clean enough to live comfortably. Free motorbike was a nice touch. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. My main disappointment though was with the location. Koh Larn (coral Island) was indeed quiet and comfy, but it barely had any corals, most of the reef was dead and in pieces. Probably too many tourists or has to do with too many boats and jetskis zooming around the island. There was also too much trash on the beaches (we've tried all of them and only a couple of them were clean). Parasailing was lame, heights nowhere near exciting and it finished within 5 minutes. All in all, best to get a snorkeling tour on other islands or try parasailing or jetskis elsewhere. It's cheaper and more fun

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Stay at Cara Cara Hotel – Highly Recommend I had an excellent experience staying at Cara Cara Hotel Koh Larn. Everything that was advertised was exactly as described—no surprises, no disappointments. The pool was a highlight. It’s open 24 hours (from what I experienced), and it’s the perfect size. There’s both a deep end and a shallow area, which makes it great whether you want to swim, relax, or just sit in the water and cool off. The room itself was very comfortable. The bed was soft and made for a great night’s sleep. One thing I really appreciated was that the AC was already running before check-in, so the room was nice and cool the moment we walked in—huge plus in Thailand’s heat. Another great perk was the minibar, which was fully complimentary. That’s something you don’t see often and definitely added to the overall experience. Overall, this hotel delivered exactly what it promised and then some. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Koh Larn.

We stayed here for one night as a family. The hotel may suit travelers looking for a very quiet and secluded location, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The reception appeared to be unattended from early evening onwards, so whenever we needed assistance we had to call the emergency phone numbers provided. We had to do this because there was a very large cockroach in our room. To their credit, the staff arrived quickly and removed it. At 5:30 a.m., we were woken up by loud barking from stray dogs just outside our room. Surroundings: The beach has many rocks in the water, so swimming was not as enjoyable as we expected. Unfortunately, our daughter cut her foot on the rocks while swimming. By the evening, almost everything nearby was closed, making it difficult to find dinner. The staff we met were very polite and did their best to help when contacted, but overall the combination of the rocky beach, limited facilities, lack of evening services, insects, and early morning noise made this stay uncomfortable for our family. This place may be a good choice for travelers seeking peace and isolation, but families with children should carefully consider whether it matches their expectations.

The place was great to stay. Hotel pick up and drop off from the pier. The pier is about a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk. Hotel has bikes on site for rent.

We originally booked 3 nights at Tawaen Beach Resort and ended up extending for another 3 nights — and honestly, that says everything. This is not our first stay. We were here six months ago, stayed in the same resort, and deliberately came back again. Consistency matters, and Tawaen Beach Resort delivers it every single time. The staff are outstanding — professional, genuinely kind, attentive, and always accommodating. You feel welcomed, respected, and taken care of from the moment you arrive. The food and coffee pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to neighboring resorts where prices feel exaggerated and borderline absurd. Here, you actually feel you’re getting value without being taken advantage of. Cleanliness deserves special mention. The hygiene standards are truly top-tier resort level — rooms, lobby, common areas — everything is spotless and well maintained. This is something many resorts on the island fail at, even if they look nice on the outside. Location? Simply unbeatable. You step out of the resort and within seconds, you’re standing in front of a magical turquoise-blue sea and perfectly clean, soft white sand — genuinely one of the best beach fronts in Koh Larn. They have beach lounges and chairs where you can relax all day, and the beach staff constantly adjust the umbrellas as the sun moves — a small detail that makes a huge difference. Service is attentive without being intrusive. What truly impressed us: Over the past few weeks, we met multiple couples (not one, not two — FOUR) who stayed at nearby resorts and had nightmare experiences — poor hygiene, bad rooms, disappointing service. After visiting our room, lobby, and seeing the standards at Tawaen Beach Resort, they immediately canceled their bookings and rebooked here. That alone speaks volumes. We live just outside Pattaya and come to Koh Larn almost every month. One thing is absolutely certain: We will never stay anywhere else. Ever. The pricing is very fair, especially compared to the nonsense prices next door that don’t deliver even half the quality. Try this place once — and you’re hooked for life. We proudly consider ourselves lifetime clients. Couldn’t ask for better. Period.

Nice collection resort right by the pier dropout, located was good, they have motorbike rental if needed for 500 baht big bikes. Mimi breakfast area with the basic breakfast.
