"The Riverwalk Plaza is located near other bars and food places. It is great for families, in their lounge they have movies, chess and other family games. On the other side you will find the Gavel. Good bar and great atmosphere, did not try any food but their drinks were on point."

SS CortinaWe were looking for a hotel near our family. We received a suggestion from Trip.com to take a gander at La Quinta Inn & Suites Sea World. The price offered for our lengthy stay was unbeatable elsewhere. I read the reviews and had a few concerns, but you just never know. Now, what I am about to mention I do not say lightly because I travel extensively. We arrived at the hotel after an exhaustive travel day on the road. We were greeted by a young lady named Samantha. She was probably the best front desk clerk that I have ever encountered. She was inviting, respectful and welcoming to La Quinta. She asked how our day was and assured us that our stay would be as comfortable as she could make it. She explained everything and directed us to the elevators. As we walked away, she reminded us to call on her if we encountered any issues and wished us a good night. The hotel was clean and safe. I woke up during the night and looked outside the window to check on my vehicle. I found a security vehicle stationed at the entrance of the property. This was good to see and put me at peace. The only issues that I had was the coffee and the room. I found the coffee to be Luke warm to cold on two occasions in the morning. As for the room, the hotel was a non smoking hotel, but I swear someone had previously smoked in the room. The aroma wasn't too bad but I could tell. It was tolerable but unfortunate. You trust visitors to follow the rules but not all can be controlled. A huge thanks to the best front desk clerk Samantha who checked in on us during our week visit. Thank you!

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel itself is very nice, and the valet and bellhop staff were exceptionally friendly. The location is excellent, right on the Riverwalk, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure; however, if you’re tall, the shower head placement is not ideal—my husband is 5’10” and had to duck to use it.
We would consider staying again, but on our last morning the toilet clogged and overflowed onto the floor. This was frustrating, especially since very little toilet paper had been used. Most people would consider a toilet overflow an urgent issue that requires immediate attention. We called for assistance, but no one ever came. It seemed as though staff assumed they could wait since we had a couple of hours before checkout, which was disappointing. As a result, my husband had to go to the ground floor to use the restroom, and we had to navigate around toilet water on the bathroom floor while getting ready.

PPengguna TetamuLisa - Review house-keeping routine/policy, currently room service is every 3-days and this does not work for our stay. We were there 4-days and on day 3 room wasn't cleaned. Bathroom doesn't have a fan so moisture stays in the room too long as hanging towels over shower bar didn't dry out towels and this cause mildew smell. Trash cans only had 1 plastic liner. Went to check-in counter and requested clean and the next day didn't arrive so i saw the room cleaner with her cart and got fresh towels. On arrival the room had only 3 fresh towels in the bathroom which should have been 4
Suggestion of Improvements
1 - Complete Room service every 2 days
2 - Automatically deliver fresh towels daily as the air is very humid
3 - Trash cans to have multiple plastic liners inside so when trash is removed then there is another one ready to be used, this will keep trash cans cleaner
4 - Review number of occupants and have sufficient fresh towels in the room, 2 people equal 4 towels.
5 - Add bathroom evacuation fan so that moisture from a hot shower will be removed quickly

PPengguna TetamuKami menikmati penginapan. Penginapan kami terdiri dari 3 malam. Sayangnya kita kekal semasa pandemi Covid 19. Kami tidak mendapat sarapan percuma. Tetapi ini adalah hotel yang hebat. Bonus adalah kolam. Persediaan cantik. Satu-satunya keluhan saya adalah, kita harus selalu meminta tuala. Bilik bersih. Bilik-bilik dengan saiz yang baik. Saya pasti akan mengesyorkan hotel ini. Pasti akan kembali.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel looks more run down than the photos portrayed. Homeless people just around the corner, and that made us a little uneasy... but they seemed to keep to themselves and posed no immediate threat. Wallpaper peeling in multiple places, shower curtain torn at 2 places where attached to the shower rod, wires under AC exposed and could pose a tripping hazard. The room is dark, with 4 lamps and one wall light by the door. The lamps just lit the room somewhat. The bathroom lights were also dull.
Beds were comfy. Shower was nice, needed a slip mat though. View out the back windows was awful.
And on Thursday nights and maybe the weekend, there's an outdoor band playing right next door, loud enough to keep you awake into early hours.
Only 1 of the 2 elevators was operating, and it broke down twice on two different days. The staff was very quick at getting it fixed, and it seems this is a common occurrence with a note on the wall giving a warning.
Breakfast was good, but bacon would have been nice.
The staff was amazing, sweet, and considerate of our needs. If you don't mind ”not new”, then this hotel would be nice for you.

RRingo.There was nothing great or wrong about the hotel room. I arrived at night and wouldn’t recommend walking around that area alone in the dark . The listing states a $50 security deposit but I was charged a $100 deposit and trip.com customer service agent contacted the hotel on my behalf. I left at 11am and prior to leaving there was 2 separate knocks at the door to serve as reminders check out was at 11am.
On the Charming side. Around at 11pm I decided to grab my self an ice bucket which was located on the first floor, after I got my ice bucket and headed towards my room a young mother sat on the stairs smoking a cigarette with her two lil girls. And as I passed I said to the girls “excuse me young ladys” as I got passed them, the young mother apologized and told her there was no need for an apology , smiled and continued on my way . I could hear one of the girls ask her mother why I referred to her as a young lady, the mother replied with because one day your grow up to be a beautiful lady. The lil girls laughed and laughed, which brought forth dad. Asking his family what was all the noise outside about? The girls said with excitement that their mother had said they would grow up to be beautiful … and don’t know what else was said because by that time I entered my room. But the sound of the two “young ladies” laughing and laughing, did make me feel better.
When I woke, the day light revealed an industrial area of San Antonio TX I had never seen before.
I would stay there again.
